We wandered in on a hot Sunday evening and had a great experience- food was delicious & well-priced; service was quick and friendly. My daughter RAVED about the noodles for hours after. Restaurant is clean and had great AC that we greatly appreciated!

3.75 Located on Mott St., near Canal St. Easier by public transportation. Was busy that day bec of Lunar New Year celebrations. Gave my name for the list and were told of a 15-min wait, which was ok but it was pretty crowded by the entrance - with other people also waiting or picking up orders. Brightly lit and clean. Got booth seating and some hot tea. The food came out quickly. Dishes are good for 1 person; everything tasted good but would like more vegetables in them. Was curious about the black egg in the noodle soup but noted very little pieces inside each dumpling. Service was good. Restrooms on the first floor and downstairs via stairs.

Finally made it here after having it on my list for months - and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent, and the space was impressively clean. You take a number when you arrive, get seated, and then they call you to order - simple and efficient. They start you off with complimentary jasmine tea. It's nothing fancy, just your standard tea, but somehow it always hits - I've never been able to recreate that exact taste at home. We ordered the fish ball and fish cake noodle soup - the broth is light but packed with flavor. The spicy wontons were also a standout: super flavorful, but honestly not spicy at all. If you're thinking about getting claypot rice, order it as soon as you're seated since it takes a while to prepare. The pork soup dumplings were a solid 8/10. There are hot sauces and chili oil on the table if you want to kick things up a notch. The lollipop chicken wings felt like a bit of a novelty at a Chinese restaurant, so I had to try them - they were well seasoned, though at the end of the day, still just chicken wings. The pork-over-noodles dish was really tasty, but definitely on the greasier, oilier side. I ordered it expecting some heat, but honestly, nothing here was truly spicy. Not a bad thing at all - but if you're someone who's chasing real spice, this might not quite hit that mark.

I came for shu mai and soup dumplings with a friend. She was recommended this spot so we decided to try it out. It wasn't the best or the worst, but I'm not sure I would come back again with all the options in the area. The soup dumplings were decent but I didn't feel like they were fresh. There were lots of fatty pieces in the soup which tells me it might not be fresh. The shumai was decent, it had okay portions of pork, shrimp, and fat. Both dishes had decent flavor but not anything notable. Service was fast tho, I'll give them that!

The broth is deep, fishy (in a good way), and pairs nicely with the noodles. If you like seafood, you will like the broth. The noodles are nice, but the wontons are the best part. I had the bowl that also comes with mushroom wontons and cilantro dumplings. The cilantro dumplings are really nice too, so I recommend if you want some variety. Service is quick, cash is good to have. Inside is clean, I think recently renovated.

As the multicultural group a friends we are 5 of us were seated and treated so well. The staff was friendly and the food was super tasty. Ill be back next time we decide to explore China town. Prices were affordable. They allowed us to do 5 separate checks which is such a great option when dining out with friends. I had the spare ribs hot pot rice. 2 friends had the beef noodles. 1 shrimp dumplings. Another shrimp noodles. We all shared and got to sample eachothers items .

A great random pick in Chinatown. Service was quick and good. I enjoyed the tea as soon as we sat down. We shared fried dumplings and my husband and I each got a noodle bowl. My ginger chicken was awesome.

This one of the main restaurants on Mott Street so I was excited to try it out. Came at around 12pm with a party of 3 on a weekend and we essentially didn't have any wait which was great! - Steamed Shanghai Pork Soup Dumplings - Genuinly one of the best XLB I've had in the city. I loved how the dumpling was bursting with broth. I did feel like the pork itself was a bit tough to chew on and the dumpling wrapper was not very thin but the broth really made it worth it. - Black Egg with Pork Congee - This was also very delicious as well although I would recommend just going to Deluxe Food Market a few streets north and getting the same thing but for only $3. - Shrimp & Pork Wonton - Very nostalgic bowl of soup. I liked the slightly sweet broth paired with the meaty wontons and chewy noodles. Overall not a bad HK cafe in the city at all!

This traditional Chinese restaurant has been renovated to a modern and spacious style! There were still a good amount of people on a Sunday evening. The service was fast as usual and I got my food quickly except for the clay pot rice (took another 10-15 minutes). The wontons were super fresh - the shrimp had a bouncy and juicy texture! The sampan congee was yummy as well but I don't remember eating any squid in it which it typically does have... The clay pot rice was pretty large and if you wait a bit longer the rice gets more crispy! The cured/dried sausage is always delicious with the rice although I think the rice is much larger portion wise relative to the meats. Overall a great spot to go to for fast and authentic Chinese food in Chinatown! I don't think there's a lot of options for clay pot rice so that's a plus!

Came here on a busy Sunday. Was excited to order what I ordered last time plus my husband got the curry beef brisket noodle soup. Everything is amazing! Food is just as good as it was last time. Pretty crowded, and loud. Easy to flag waiter down this time. No complaints! One of my favorite restaurants in Chinatown!

Nothing like some good ol' comfort Cantonese carbs. Even on a busy Saturday, the line went by fairly quick as their service is incredibly fast here. I got a table for one and ordered the Steamed Shanghai Pork Soup Dumplings ($9.95) and Braised Beef Brisket Tendon Noodle ($12.95). I probably didn't need the XLB dumplings, but so glad I tried them. They were super juicy and plump --honestly quite impressed with these. The noodles actually came out minutes within me ordering my food. It was almost as if it was already waiting for me. The noodle soup also arrived just as quick for the table beside me, so if you're in a hurry or starving, get the noodle soups. Plus, they're delicious and heartwarming! The noodles are perfectly thin and chewy with the tender pieces of beef and marinated fattiness of the tendons. I was also slurping up every drop of broth too. No complaints, everything was 10/10! Even the service was so efficient. I also appreciated that they told me my total included tip already. Plus, you get 5% off if you pay with cash.

Did a takeout (via Seamless) during a busy lunchtime. A little chaotic at the counter given the crowds but my order was ready roughly by when it was promised. The Shrimp & Pork Wonton Noodle Soup was solid and packed very well for travel (with the wontons, noodles and soup all separated). The Pan Fried Pork and Chive Dumplings were good though a little soggy from the travel (probably better to have them at the restaurant)

    Gluten free options?

They have rice dishes and just vegetable dishes. The real question is if the vegetables are prepared with soy sauce, which is not gluten-free. You can order simply rice and steamed vegetables or clear broth with rice noodles and meat/chicken.…

Do you sell flat noodles (ho fun) for noodle soups?

I didn't see an option for flat noodles although their hand pulled noodles are relatively flat and am sure can order this on the side.

    Fresh hand-made noodles or dry?

Hi Peter, our noodles is fresh made from our factory not dry noodles

    Is it BYOB?

I didn't see any indication of that.

Are any of the soup broths vegetarian/vegan?

Sorry, we only serve one type of soup broth and it's not vegan.

    Any happy hour specials?

    Sorry, no

    Do they have high chairs?

    Yes

I called to ask if they used MSG since the reviews said they don't and the receptionist said that they do. Can someone please confirm?

This is just a friendly note -- did you know the myths of MSG's negative health effects have been debunked? Fear of msg stems from xenophobic roots.…

Is there outdoor dining? If yes, are there covers for rainy days?

Yes We have outdoor dining and tents for rain-proof, we also have enough protection for indoor dining too. Thanks for your support and we see you soon

    Is the restrooms available?

Yes they are! The staff will spray you down and clean the bottom of your shoes haha but yes it is

They have both the pork and the pork + crab

Got off the E train and when we looked for Chinese food, this place popped up with good reviews and it was just a short walk from where we got off the train. My buddies ordered the special lunches and we also got two types of xlb's, beef chow fun, and some fried dumplings. The special lunches come with a little fried rice, cold garlic flavored noodle, choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup, and main side. My buddies all enjoyed their meals. The beef chow fun was also really good and beef was nice and tender. The xiao long baos were excellent and is comparable to any place in California like DTF. Nice and juicy and great with some ginger, soy sauce, and spicy chili. Friendly service and food comes out pretty quickly. Credit card is accepted. Bathroom was also very clean, which is sometimes rare in some Chinese restaurants I have been to. If you're looking for a good Chinese meal, stop here when you're in the Chelsea area.

Added a screenshot in case the owner doubles down that it was 15 mins. Guess the first call was from the delivery driver, and the second was from the restaurant itself. ‍ But the really disappointing part is that they didn't pack any soup separate from the noodles! - So my chicken dumpling noodle soup basically had no soup - don't know if they forgot it or if it was absorbed by the noodles but most restaurants at this point know to pack the broth and the noodles separately,- so I ended up having to add some of my own vegetable broth, which totally was not the flavor I was hoping for. So - love the food, but delivery service leaves a lot to be desired - next time I'll try giving instructions to pack the soup separate from the noodles and see if that helps!

Located within the historic Chelsea Market building--a former Nabisco factory where Oreo cookies were first produced--the restaurant feels theatrical in the best possible way. The soaring ceilings, dramatic lighting, and energetic atmosphere create a sense of occasion from the moment you walk in. It feels less like simply going out to dinner and more like stepping into a beautifully staged production. I started with a Botanist Gin Martini with a twist, which paired wonderfully with the meal. The surprise star of the evening was the new Cucumber Tiger Salad. The balance of flavors was exceptional: bright acidity, a pleasant touch of heat, and just enough mint to make each bite feel fresh and exciting. Every so often the mint would come through and suddenly all the flavors would click together in a way that made me immediately want another bite. This is a dish I would happily order again. Next came the Edamame Dumplings. They were delicate and comforting, especially when enjoyed with the accompanying broth. The broth adds depth and richness that elevates the entire dish. My only suggestion would be the slightest touch more salt, perhaps even a finishing sprinkle of black volcanic salt for both flavor and presentation. I also found myself wishing there were a bit more of that delicious broth because it contributes so much to the overall experience. For my entrée, I ordered the Glazed Alaskan Black Cod, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fish was rich, buttery, and perfectly prepared. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the accompaniments were composed. The pickled cucumbers brought brightness, acidity, and crunch, while the black bean and eggplant relish delivered deep savory notes and unexpected complexity. I'm generally not an eggplant fan, but this relish was outstanding. The cucumbers and relish sit at opposite ends of the flavor spectrum, yet both somehow make the cod even better. Looking back, I think a glass of Sauvignon Blanc alongside the cod would have been the perfect pairing. I finished with the Miso Caramel Milk Bar, which was spectacular. Decadent, sweet, salty, and touched with just enough umami to keep every bite interesting. The chocolate crumble underneath added a wonderful crunch that contrasted beautifully with the creamy ice cream and luscious caramel sauce. Every component worked together perfectly, creating a dessert that was both indulgent and sophisticated. From start to finish, the meal felt polished, thoughtful, and memorable. Thank you!
