I mostly like Noodles and Company, but some dishes have definitely been better than others. I'd say quality can range from 2-4 stars. I get something different every time so I'm not sure if it's that specific dishes have different qualities or that they're just inconsistent. In general, it's not particularly memorable food, but it basically tastes good and is nice if you want a real meal fast. It's also good if you're vegetarian because you can customize any dish to have tofu as the protein or no protein. My favorite dish so far was the roasted garlic cream tortelloni. On the other end of the spectrum, I didn't care for the chili garlic ramen. The sauce was too oily, plus the noodles were clumpy and the veggies were lazily cut. Maybe the kitchen was just lazy on that day, because every other dish I've ordered, the pasta has been fine and the general presentation has been better. There hasn't really been a pattern to the dishes I really enjoyed vs those I didn't (some of the other "Asian" stuff has been pretty good, like the Indonesian chicken saute, and some of the pasta dishes have been underwhelming). The service is great. It's fast, and food is brought to your table after you order and pay at the counter. The eating area is cleaned often. Most of the staff are very friendly. I prefer this location to the other Bloomington location on Kirkwood because they have real dine-in plates and cutlery here. read more

I've came to Noodles sometimes since 2018 and they have some of the most tasty pastas out there! The service is really quick and gets your food out in like 2 minutes. The location and inside of noodles has its years but it is still decently maintained. They forgot my order last time, but don't worry because it rarely happens. Also since I've been there for years, I noticed that they changed the cheese. Not to complain but workers I recommend that the company changes back to the old cheese type, thank you! read more

We called the east Bloomington, IN Noodles and Company early in the week asking about the meeting room they have. We were told $20 or 10 meals was what it cost to rent the room. We get there to set up for my son and daughter in law's wedding shower. We get there, get all the food set up, and guests started to arrive. The store manager came in and out of the room and ask who we talked too, but did not tell us we had to leave or buy the food from the his restaurant. He waited until the bride and groom got there to cause a scene. He told us to buy food there or leave. I have never been so humiliated. It didn't matter what we were told by the employee. I nor the 20 people we invited will ever be embarrassed in a Noodles and Company again, be will not be back! read more

Sandi and I stopped in to try out the local flavor of Noodles and Company. This location has Covid 19 proofed the building. The tables at the booths were removed. Every other table was marked closed. The tables with the high swivel chairs were still available. Most of the business was carry out and delivery. Pasta is great comfort food and it rules. read more

IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES AVOID THIS LOCATION! I frequently order from this restaurant and they consistently mess up my order. Every single time. Although this was the worst because I have allergies. I order my food and specify what I want (grilled orange chicken lo mein) I substitute rice noodles because I also have a gluten allergy. I found mushrooms in my food (AFTER I already ate a bite as they were hidden on the bottom) and there aren't supposed to be any in this dish which is why I order it. I call the restaurant and let them know the situation and they offer to make a new one. I arrive and have to wait 15 minutes for them to remake this and the whole time the employees were just messing around and taking their time not being very careful obviously. I did not receive a refund, and am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of service. Is it odd that I've never ordered noodles at Noodles & Company? I'm really surprised that N&C has a solid Tomato Basil Bisque (Rich and zesty tomato soup with cream, sherry, basil and garlic) though. For some reason, tomato soup is easy to get too water-y/flavors not developed enough but Noodles & Company's version isn't too shabby. I usually order it with a side of parmesan crusted chicken. It's not very crusted and the chicken looks like it definitely came out of a vacuum-sealed bag, but the flavors are there! I've also had the med salad (Grilled chicken, romaine, mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, red onion, Kalamata olives, cavatappi pasta, spicy yogurt dressing and feta), which was also pretty good. The cavatappi pasta is a nice touch - ha. The spicy yogurt dressing is a little bit on the salty side but I always get it on the side so that helps! Overall, Noodles & Company is a pretty good value. Although I am generally a fan of carbs and feel like a baguette could be a welcome addition to just about any meal, I typically try to avoid really carb-heavy meals for lunch. Otherwise, I would probably fall asleep at my desk! For this reason, I've never really considered trying Noodles & Company for lunch, sticking to restaurants and fast-food places that carry lighter fare. However, one of my coworkers recently tempted me with a "buy one, get one free" entree offer and the promise that I could try the restaurant's new line of zucchini noodles (or "zoodles") that wouldn't leave me feeling groggy afterwards. First of all, the entire concept of "zoodles" seems to be poorly advertised in the restaurant itself. Although my friend reassured me that I could substitute "zoodles" for noodles in any dish, the menu itself gave the impression that there were really only two options: Zucchini Romesco, a vegetarian option consisting of sundried tomatoes, vegetables, feta and almonds (?!) in a roasted red pepper sauce and Zucchini Spicy Korean Beef, which consists of steak, cabbage, and spinach swimming in a "spicy Korean-style Gochujang sauce." As a meat-eater who erroneously assumed that these were my only zoodle-friendly options, I ordered a small serving the Spicy Korean Beef. Overall, the spice level was actually quite pleasant. I tend to like things on the spicier side in general and have become accustomed to being disappointed or underwhelmed by anything generally labeled as "spicy" by fast-food chains. In addition, the dish itself was actually quite filling and, clocking in at 320 calories and 20 grams of protein, actually felt like a reasonably-sized lunch portion in comparison to some of the other menu items that could easily substitute for both lunch and dinner in one go. However, there were some definite drawbacks to the dish overall. First off, I would suggest that anyone ordering zoodles carefully consider what sauces are used in their dish of choice. Unlike noodles, which easily sop up additional sauce, zoodles more or less end up swimming in whatever sauce they are paired with. The sauce for Spicy Korean Beef is actually quite thin, so it didn't really "stick" to the zoodles. As a result, I ended up with roughly 1/3 cup of uneaten sauce in the bottom of my bowl. In retrospect, however, that might have been a good thing since the overall dish tasted like a sodium bomb in my mouth. It may be that my tolerance to sodium is low since I try to cook meals from scratch at home as much as humanly possible. However, the amount of sodium in a small serving of Spicy Korean Beef clocks in at a whopping 1800mg, which is 300mg over the suggested 1500mg daily intake suggested for adults by the American Heart Association. Although I'm a young-ish person in good health, I swear that I could feel my blood pressure spike after trying this dish. All in all, I think the concept of "zoodles" itself is an interesting one that could provide people with a lighter lunch option. However, the high sodium content of their dishes across the board definitely has me thinking twice about adding Noodles & Company to my lunch rotation. read more

If you have never been to a Noodles & Company restaurant, I highly recommend that you go give the place a try. I recently went to the one on the east side of Bloomington with one of my kids. They have an extensive selection of pasta dishes of various types from all over the world. I got the Thai green curry with shrimp. My son got the pad thai with chicken. They were both excellent. We both got sodas, and they were served in genuine glass bottles! Go figure! You order your food at the counter, and then they bring it to you. We ordered our food and then went and sit outside because it was a nice day. Our food was brought to us by the manager of the place who was very friendly, and courteous. For that matter, so was everyone else there. The atmosphere was nice, and it was clean. The prices were fair for what we got. Nice meal, on a nice day. Five stars. read more

Wish I could leave ZERO stars! Let us discuss a recent visit and why we will never return to this location. Leaving out the "why" a piss poor review is important for brevity. Suffice to say - an ordering mistake I owned in my initial complaint only scratches the surface of what mind-blowing (mis)behaviour the manager, "Charles in charge" exhibited at lunch yesterday. Saving Grace: very responsive district mgr assuring me this was highly unacceptable. Explained: As I was finishing my meal, sitting by myself, this "manager" waddled over to my table and confronted me with the following dialogue (Warning: major creep factor here): "SIR, You just left a bad review at my restaurant and I want to know why!" Truth be told my phone was set aside for this verbal assault, and I was not quite finished with my "receipt asking how are we doing assessment". Onward, I was stunned at his lightning speed - he was most certainly On It (what, in back on the company desktop waiting to pounce!?). I was not going to be pulled into his middle school student confrontation and in a relatively polite (stern?) manner replied along the lines of there need not be an explanation (subtext: Get OVER it, pal). Increased aggravation led him to continue his interrogation and unsatisfactory as it was, he proceeded to (we're escalating now apparently) Ask me to leave his restaurant (I was not ready to leave, I have an hour lunch break - yay me) Defeated and as a customer was walking in I got up to hear the closing insult, "Have a nice day, Sir ... thanks for being an ass." Noodles & Company is one of my favorite 'comfort food' chains. Like all of their restaurants the meals come out fast, hot and fresh. There's never any surprises with taste, like most chains they keep everything fairly consistent from one to another. My favorites here are Wisconsin Mac 'n Cheese with Parmesan Crusted Chicken and the Penne Rosa with Feta. Both are super simple and tasty. Something different from any other Noodle & Co I've been too is the conference room in the back. Wasn't expecting that. Bathrooms are past the conference room and are kept very clean and tidy. Oh, there's also some covered outdoor seating in the front, not a lot of tables but very nice. read more

Haha....this is my third review of a Noodles. Guess I'm getting Noodle savvy. I recently went to the new East side location for a pick-up order on a lunch break. I called in my order and was given an expected wait time of 5 min....what?!! It was noon! How could they be so fast? I had an errand to run and I told the girl on the phone that I didnt want it that soon. I said, have it ready in 20. I mean, I didnt want it to get cold on my ride back to the office. Sure enough, I walk in 20 minutes later exact on the minute. They were just putting my food in the bag!! Parking is so much better than the downtown Noodles. Unless I'm downtown already, I'm headed to the East side. The store is clean, staff is friendly, and its a lot faster than downtown. Also, cool to know they have group space available at this location. read more

Three stars just for the fact that every meal is easily vegetarian with the substitution of tofu into it. And their tofu is good- seasoned and pan seared. The cashier was nice and efficient. No complaints about the food which is my experience at every location. I also appreciate that they have a couple of outdoor tables. However they are placed awkwardly at the front door on the sidewalk overlooking the parking lot and this area has less-than-zero charm or comfort. This particular day no employee was attending the dining room. Not once was a table cleaned between the many patrons and finding a suitable surface to eat on was difficult. Ick. read more

I know it's not my style for me to be writing about a chain restaurant , but this place was trifling. The food was below average but that wasn't even what made the whole experience bad. Every fork I pulled was contaminated with some sort of leftover food from the person who used it last so obviously they don't spend time on the cleanliness of the dishes. Gross. My friend's cup was also dirty and had someone's leftover lemon seed in it. I just think that's really some boo boo but that might just be because I am scared of germs. Lastly, there were stains on our table and nearby wall. Was it blood? Soy sauce? The sweat of those that clean the restaurant? Highly unlikely considering this ESTABLISHMENT was FILTHY. I was at this restaurant for a birthday gathering. I ordered pot stickers, thinking they could not be cooked poorly. One bite told me otherwise. These came out bitter, flat, and burnt. And of course, they come from frozen, as does every protein on the menu. Manager was dismissive, bordering on combative. I wanted a refund, wasn't offered one. He said he'd make me anything else on the menu. There isn't a single item on that menu that appeals to me. So, I am out the money I spent, angry and frustrated, and extremely displeased. I will never eat there again. I would go to a soup kitchen before I return to this restaurant. I would go to a hospital cafeteria first. Shame on their lack of quality control and their pitiful excuse for cuisine. I'm a former chef, and I know cheap, frozen garbage food when it's handed to me. read more

This restaurant is something that I never seen before the person who thought that making noodles fast was wrong. As a real Italian making noodles takes time and effort but this was the opposite. When I tried the Mac and Cheese with meatballs. First off the meatballs were so burned that it didn't ever get any flavor in the meatball. Also the presentation looked really sloppy by putting shredded cheddar on the plate and the dish tasted like Velveeta with noodles. Last and not least I also got one of shareables and baguettes as the bread was not a bad idea but it was too soft and it is supposed to really crispy and the seasoning was too strong to taste the marinara sauce. One thing about the Mac was that their were different types of pasta. It is not hard to put the right pasta in the pot. read more

I am LIVID. I went to this Noodles and Company this afternoon (Nov. 13th at 4:30) and placed my order. There was only one person ahead of me in line, but.. Apparently a to-go order was placed and I waited 25 minutes and STILL didn't have my food. I went to ask for a refund and the manager would not stop cooking to at least give me my money back. I just ended up walking out -- no food and without my money back. What else could I do??? I needed to be somewhere and felt so helpless in this situation. What terrible, terrible service. At least an apology in the moment could have made me more patient-- but no, there was nothing but waiting and frustration for me!!! Super, super disappointed. read more
