This Noodles and Company is located directly across the street from Landmark at the Glen theatres. Whenever we walked out from the theatres looking for an eatery to eat in, it was hard for us not to see N&C immediately, therefore, we have dined in there many times over the years. The quality and quantity of the food were very satisfactory back then. We were happy (and a bit surprised) that it had survived the pandemic, and was doing very well, judging from the evening that we dined in there. This N&C is smallish, during a sunny late summer evening, it was quite hot inside the eatery. The booths were pretty tight, even for petite people like me, and the tables and chairs could be a bit cleaner. We placed the order at the front desk. It took me repeating the whole order at least twice before the cashier understood what we were ordering. We had 3 bowls of noodles, each with slightly different choices. We ordered two bowls of Rigatoni Rosa, one with Parmesan Chicken and feta cheese, the other one had Grilled Chicken and no cheese. They ran out of rigatoni noodles and substituted them with cavatappi noodles. Then, they ran out of cavatappi noodles after two bowls, I opted for a bowl of Japanese Pan Noodles with Korean Meatballs on the side instead. A staff brought the orders to our table (we had a number). Portions seem to be on the small side. They skimped on broccoli on my bowl, and skimped on chicken on the other two bowls. The food was OK. I felt that the noodles from the Deerfield N&C seemed to be more flavorful with bigger portions. However, for a quick and easy fast-food dinner, this was OK. read more

This is a good noodles and co location. The service was friendly and efficient and there's plenty of parking in the glen. It is really good fancier fast food, I especially like the Japanese pan noodles with tofu and the garlic bread. read more

Haven't been to this Noodles and Company for quite some time and it looks like they have made some interior design updates. I was having issues with utilizing a coupon online so went in for an order. The counter attendant had difficulty figuring out how to process the order, so had to wait a bit for them to figure it out. After making the order, the food came out as expected we were not waiting long. We just got the basic mac & cheese for the kids which has been a forever favorite of theirs. Depending on the time of day parking can be a bit challenging, so would recommend just parking behind the movie theater and get a few steps in. I used to eat here all the time but now the service is terrible, the portions are halk the size of other Noodle and Companies and the management does not care. Last time the soft drink machine was out of several flavors and I brought it to the attention of the manager and she just said no more... tomorrow. A few minutes later she refilled the empty ones. I asked about the salad size after comparing it to a few other Noodle locations and even showed pictures and just got a blank stare and told tis was the correct soze with the bow only half filled. Big fan of Noodles & Co, but certainly will NEVER return to this location. Starting with our order, the service was brutal. It seemed the attendant was unsure how to enter in an order and had to bring in help three times, for each of the three entrees we ordered. Had to clarify specifications for each entree multiple times. We also ordered a fountain drink, and after paying, the attendant began to take the next customers order, while I stood awkwardly waiting for our cup. I ordered the Pesto Cavatappi, and added Parmesan crusted chicken. When our meal came out, I was surprised to see no chicken, no shredded Parmesan, and hardly any pesto. Might as well have ordered buttered noodles. When I respectfully asked the server about the missing chicken, she looked at me disgusted and said "you didn't pay for it". After showing me the receipt, turns out the attendant had entered "No Parmesan Chicken" on my dish, even though the chicken is an add on, not featured in the dish. The server rudely told me, despite the attendants error, if I wanted chicken I would have to get back in line and pay for it. I was looking forward to the flavor blast of the dish all day, and instead got lukewarm, almost plain noodles. All around bad experience and service and will not be returning. read more

The fishbowl thing does work! My biz card got drawn, and I, along with up to 5 coworkers/friends, were invited to come in for a tasting of the menu. Drinks, appetizers, main courses, and dessert included for the bargain price of $0! Count me in! The manager on duty was extremely nice and made us feel right at home. We tried 2 salads and the new cheesy bread appetizers to start off the tasting. I highly recommend the cheesy bread. It was delicious and better than expected! For the main course, we had a new gluten free spiral noodle dish that'll be introduced in April, pesto rice noodles, and pad thai with chicken. It was more than enough food, and to top it all off, we finished off the lunch with rice krispies and snickerdoodle cookies. I gotta give kudos to Noodles on their cookie and krispy recipes. Sadly the lower scoring reviews paint an accurate picture of this location. The tables and booths were not very clean. This location didn't seem to have its AC working properly. My daughter's kids meal Mac and cheese was basically pre-microwaved pasta with shredded cheese tossed on top. She wasn't impressed at least she ate the noodles and Broccoli. My wive's zucchini noodles was average at best. And my pad thai... which consisted of noodles that had been cooked a least one day prior and warmed up in a microwave with oil. Then had the hot "pad thai" sauce splashed on top. Since the noodles were oiled the sauces didn't bond and it was essentially flavorless noodles with essence of pad thai. I requested a refund and the manager politely refunded me. I politely told him I thought the dish was poorly prepared and tasted awful. I have had this dish at other locations, while not amazing it did the trick. The manager attempted to prepare something else for me. I politely declined. One other thing, the fountain machine looks like it hadn't been cleaned in a week and had an overflowing splash tray. That for whatever reason wasn't draining automatically. I tried using their online ordering process. However, once I got to the check-out, the order declined. I assumed the problem occurred because i was on the processing page for a few minutes. So I tried processing the order again and received the same error. I became concerned that it had to do with my bank, but when I checked, the payment came out twice. I contacted 847-729-5555 and spoke with the "Manager" Mike who stated that he's run across this issue with other clients before and he just tells them to let it sit for 24 hours. I asked, "So can I not order food from you all?", and his response was to just come into the store and pay. Unfortunately I do not have the funds in my account due to the multiple charges. I asked if this is like a loan to the company until tomorrow, and he stated "yeah...". Mike proceeded to tell me that he doesn't have any control over the online ordering. This place does a good job of offering different fare from the rest of the crowd and mixing it up enough to keep it interesting and some what healthy. Please note, the place tends to be popular with families and kids of all ages so if that is not your thing then be warned. The dining space fluctuates from location to location but the Glenview one can be tight, loud, and chilly on a winter's saturday. Tight due to the small space, loud due to the family crowds and small space, chilly due to the constant in/out door churn. There are a lot of good choices but I highly recommend the thai hot pot. I got mine with tofu and it was tasty. For drinks this place does a good job of pleasing everyone. They have unsweet flavored teas, they have the infamous soda cocktail machine that the kids love, and they have beer and wine for the adults. I have to admit, the kids love this place and request it often. I am not sure why but for whatever reason I usually begrudgingly go along and am trying to weasel out an alternative food option the entire time before we actually get there. This time I was actually half tempted to grab something from Pot Belly across the street but when I confirmed they had something like a Pho bowl, I was in. Once I am in, I am usually happy. I think it has something to do with my mental poo poo of pasta in general, but that is my hangup. You really could do a lot worse and I have to hand it to noodles and company they are very consistent with the product, do a good job with their use of spices so that they stress flavor. Prices for both full and half sizes tend to run under ten dollars, so expect a famiy of four to land around the 30 or 40 mark. Tip - store front parking is usually full but the covered garage behind the movie theater across the street usually will have room and you can cut through the movie theater lobby to get to the rest of the stores. Extras - After you nosh at Noodle, when you walk out their door, if needed there is a Starbucks down to the right and a Ben and Jerry's across the street. read more

However, the line moved fairly fast and we were able to find a table in a little "nook" away from other diners. DH enjoyed his Thai Hot Pot. My tomato basil soup was perfect for a chilly day. I paired it with a Med flatbread sandwich. The sandwich was brimming with crunchy veggies (delicious red pepper!), feta cheese, and chicken. If I were to order again, I would skip the chicken. It had a texture and taste of chicken found in many fast food places ... overly processed! But all in all a tasty fast food option which was not too expensive. The flavor was really amazing, the quality is good, and the price is fair. I am really impressed at how they served the food and how creative they are. Their offers are really great and affordable. This noodles and company used to be a pretty decent one. Not anymore. As I'm sitting here waiting for my food, there's about 4 tables that need to be bussed, lots of debris (straw wrappers, napkins, etc) on the floor, and the pop/ice machine is overrun with overflowing ice. What the heck, noodles? Did you just give up? I can't believe there isn't a regional manager getting his ass chewed out for not visiting. They were closed last week for "remodeling" I see nothing....? The food is still on par, I can't say there's anything wrong with my Thai noodles thank god. Just clean up your act. As an Orthodox Miser, I consider the Glenview Noodles & Company to be one of the best places to practice my "religion." I live a couple of miles from this Noodles, and I frequently visit the emporium because their pricing is reasonable, they frequently offer two-fers for those who register with them online, and the people working there are super-nice. Although they run a counter-service operation, they even bring entrees to your table. Yes, I know that Noodles & Co is a national chain, but I am particularly impressed with their Glenview Town Center site. I like to try different entrees each time I visit. Last time, I tried a "hot" Thai curry dish which, in my opinion, was only moderately hot, but very nice. I have sampled lots of different salads, pastas, and other side dishes, and have always been satisfied. I plan to continue patronizing Noodles in the future - maybe this coming weekend. BTW: They really do offer freebies. I have left my business card in their fishbowl, and have been invited twice (2X) to their FREE tastings which are very filling and satisfying. This was my first visit to Noodles and Company, I'm sorry to say it was a mediocre and disappointing dining experience. I ordered the BBQ pork macaroni and cheese and spicy Caesar chicken sandwich. I'll start with the sandwich: 90% lettuce, 5% dressing, 5% chicken. The pita bread dry and the lettuce was full of thick stems. Very unappetizing. The mac'n'cheese: everything in the bowl was room temperature. The shredded cheese that was sprinkled on top didn't even melt. It could have used a little more BBQ sauce too; it does have BBQ in its name. Maybe I went on a bad day, or to a bad location, but high hopes were dashed for Noodles and Company. read more

Noodles and Company is a well-known chain but I thought I would comment on the service and food here. I went with my parents and I really appreciate the staff for being patient with us. My parents were taking a long time deciding on what they want and the girl waited and then asked us some of the basic questions. In regards to my Penne Rosa, I was a huge fan. That pasta dish is my favorite, so I have tried a good one before. I think the Penne was a little hard for my taste buds. I also think it was lacking spice. The staff are all teenagers (being a young-un this isn't a big deal to me) and they stood around talking the entire time....actually it looked like gossiping about customers. I ordered the same thing I always order (pasta) and when I stabbed my fork into it and entire chunk lifted up and stuck straight out like a board. I walked up and asked them to soften and re-do. This noodles & company is one of the best noodles and companies I have been to across the states. The waiting staff is unbelievably nice and I get my food very quickly every time I go. In this location above many they will give stuff out for no reason. I have seen waiters give customers rice crispies just for putting chairs back at a table. The restaurant can get relatively loud from the middle schoolers coming straight from the school near by but otherwise I have never had a problem. read more

I mean it's Noodles & Company so there's really nothing out of the ordinary to talk about. If you like noodles and you like company, this is your place. Unfortunately, due to it's location it is generally overly crowded which is not fun when you're crazy hungry and want nothing more than a big bowl of cheesy macaroni in your stomach. Of course in my opinion, the prices have always been off at Noodles. You're looking at around $8 for a normal bowl of noodles with meat. Add in a drink or any sort of side and you could be looking at a $15 lunch. I still enjoy the taste of their dishes though and will naturally return. Overall, this is a great location in the heart of The Glen, but watch out for crowds and be prepared to wait in line. read more

Unfortunately this chain as a whole is really just only okay. I've tried it a few times now all over Chicagoland but tried this particular location a few weeks ago. It was a weeknight and wasn't very busy. Parking was unusually hard to find though at least on the immediate ones right in front of the stores/restaurants so we just parked in the parking structure which is free anyway, just a little farther walk. I went there with my mom and we had the Trio -- 1 of the Indo Peanut Saute and 1 of the Japanese Pan Noodles. We both ordered the Tomato Basil Bisque soup with it. Portion wise it was enough but taste wise, both noodles were way too salty. The soup tasted like spaghetti sauce, so didn't taste right there either. That was also too salty. We didn't even bother to take leftovers home. My mom has never tried Noodles & Co before so it was her first time and it did not meet her expectations. She didn't think it was going to be a fast-food type place either. The service was okay. They were nice but those behind the counter didn't really seem to know really what they were doing. read more

Noodles is always such a solid place to go for lunch when you're craving pasta. Parking is nuts around lunchtime though so you'll want to go to the garage and cut through the movie theater to get there more quickly. They don't do any marketing and rely on word of mouth to get people into the restaurant. Obviously this is working for them because the place is PACKED at lunch. The wait times still aren't too bad as this is only pasta we're cooking. Maybe 10-15 min at the most. My personal favorite is the Penne Rosa. Penne pasta in a spicy tomato sauce with basil and parmesan cheese. Add some parm-crusted chicken to that and it bursts with flavor. Generally I'll also get a side Caesar salad as it's only $1 more.
