    There is the napkin

I had a really bad experience here. The service was poor, and before I even found out there was a napkin in my friend's pho, I had only taken two bites from my own bowl. After that, I left it alone because the whole situation was so disgusting. When we brought it up, the staff accused us of doing it on purpose and kept saying, "we have cameras, we have cameras." I told them to please check the footage, but instead of addressing it, the guy stormed off to the back and no one wanted to talk to us anymore. They also refused to give us a full refund. Overall, it was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience.

We came in after walking around campus. We ordered beef noodle soup, ho fun with beef stir fried and dumplings and potstickers. Everything was just okay, nothing really stood out. But that was expected for a campus eatery. Ordering is done at a kiosk and then your food is brought to you. I would probably try a different place next time on campus.

My boyfriend and I eat here at least a few times a month. I always get the No 1 seafood noodles and spring rolls. Service is speedy and friendly, and the food is delicious. Highly recommend the veggie ramen as well. Can't wait to go back!

Tidy corner bin turned cute Korean and Japanese good food stop, I can highly recommend especially after my friends already had told me they had great meals here. I picked the Monday dinner destination with them and found a clean, well managed, fast serving, and polite setup. Noticed electronic stations for quick self picks and takeout, many others turned out to get their orders and run off, has to be a solid choice for Asian cuisine when we white boys are the minority! Menu wasn't too odd for he translations, wished they had portion sizes or calories to help me decide on what is right for my appetite. Dumplings appetizer was way too small for how good it was. The two others went basic, fried noodles, ramen, and I had to get pad Thai with shrimp. Really like their self serve water infused with lime, extra special touch and I say that should be a common sip drip everywhere! So refreshing! Our entrees appeared, plates well covered and piled up, we all had a good time. Balanced spices and noodles done right across all three, surprising for me was a decent shrimp amount unlike most seafood options that are more skimpy than scampi. Pad Thai is the perfect cold spring day food, will get it again and need to try more of this menu.

Pretty good Chinese food! I ordered the N1 Braised Beef Noodle Soup and it was not bad! Obviously not fully authentic but for West Lafayette, Indiana, I definitely consider this good Asian food for the area. I do miss my SoCal Asian restaurants, but here I can at least get a little taste of home. Okay, so now about the noodles: the noodles were thin but held the flavorful broth to them. The noodles did not seem handmade which I wish it was. The beef was a little tough to bite but still had tenderness to it. The broth was really good and I finished it all. Overall, this dish was simple yet comforting. The price here is reasonable for the portions given, but definitely not cheap. I would come back here to get my fix of Chinese food so I'd like to try the other menu options! Glad to have an Asian restaurant near Purdue.

Chicken Ho Fun - very tasty!

Today I was in West Lafayette picking-up my son for Thanksgiving break. I was hungry and had some time to kill. I thought Asian Noodles would be a good lunch option as I go hurtling belly-first into the food frenzy of the coming days. Be careful, Noodles & I is 1/2 block from Noodles & Company (is the name just a coincidence?). Don't get hung up on a name, this is a mom and pop shop, and the food crushes the nearby chain. I ordered the Chicken Ho Fun. It was very good. Service was fast and friendly and you can't beat the price: $9.99 for a generous portion. The restaurant is clean with plenty of seating. If you want Asian Noodles, skip the chain and dine here. You will be glad you did.

    Shrimp F3. Pad Thai

I've come here for multiple years since starting at Purdue and I've always gotten the Shrimp Pad Thai. I think the ownership changed and since then, the food has changed. The Shrimp Pad Thai was extremely dry and bland. The shrimp had no seasoning. I'm so sad because this was my favorite place along with my favorite dish. There are kiosks or the counter that you order at. The food came out fast and was hot. Hopefully it was just a bad meal and will improve next time.

    large bowl of beef congee
    Linda M.

Around Purdue University campus, I ordered the beef congee for $7.59. The bowl was large but mostly comprised of water, some green onions, a little beef, and a strange texture of the rice. I knew that it was hot, but the food should not be super heated that I have to wait a very long time before eating; I am feeling the effects of a burned mouth. So overpriced and too hot. The staff was knowledgeable, very friendly, and patient.

Very friendly staff, they helped me pick out a dish. I got the fried lo mein. It was a bit heavy but good.

This is a hidden gem for lunch. The weekday lunch special prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious.

I was pretty disappointed. Maybe it is just this specific location but it just was not on par with any other experience I have had with them. The spicy korean beef dish I selected was almost 12 dollars and contained not much meat at all. It was almost like a chefboyardee pasta. The mac and cheese that was in the kids plate is not at all what I remember getting and looked microwaved as someone else said. The rice krispy treats did seem the same as they used to be and I still think those are some of the best rice krispy treats around. Inside was rather dim and empty which was kind of strange for it being a friday night during dinner hour right in front of a busy target. Perhaps it is just this location that is struggling but when I think of noodles & company, this was not it.

I spent 5-10 minutes waiting for my order to be taken, and the cashier looked as if she did not want to be there. I was initially excited to try Noodles & Co. since I was homesick for noodles. Upon walking in, I was impressed at the wide selection of noodles. I ordered Zucchini Noodles with Grilled Chicken Combo with a side of Mac and Cheese. The Zucchini Noodles surprised me, since it was just zucchini... but I attributed that to my lack of knowledge. The grilled chicken was acceptable, but it was rather dry and tasteless. The portions were also skimpy. My side of Mac and Cheese was what took the cake though. It almost felt like microwaved mac and cheese soaked in cheese soup. The cheese was extremely runny and watery, and in fact it even had a noodle piece on it! I left with the impression that Noodles & Co. is an example of "jack of all trades, good at none" type of restaurant. Overall, my experience here was an utter disappointment, and I left to eat a second dinner elsewhere because of how astonished I was at the subpar quality.

We decided on a a variety of dishes. We started with the scallops and steak, accompanied by a side of onion, and later opted for chicken and pork belly. The scallops were good. The steak was equally tasty. As for the onion, it was just an onion, nothing extraordinary. Unfortunately, the chicken didn't quite hit the mark for me, and the pork belly fell flat--it was simply unappetizing. However, the sauces were a highlight of the meal. The staff was more than generous, happily providing extra helpings of my favorites. The soy-based sauce stood out as particularly delicious, enhancing the flavors of our dishes. My husband, on the other hand, couldn't get enough of the hot sauce; he mentioned it was pleasantly flavorful without being overly fiery, making it just right for those who appreciate a touch of spice. We also shared the jalapeño tuna appetizer, which my husband declared to be the best he's ever tasted. While I found them delicious, I hesitated to agree with his exalted claim--there are many worthy contenders in my culinary adventures! The service was excellent, likely due to the lack of other diners. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a lovely local spot to experience dining, especially the cooking your own food. We took our time, enjoying a couple of drinks and soaking in the sights of the street outside, and the approaching storm. All in all, it was a wonderfully leisurely meal, a nice departure from our usual rushed dinners. The restaurant offered a comfortable ambiance, and I would certainly return. While it may not crack my top five favorite dining spots, it's definitely nestled comfortably in the top 25 of restaurants I've enjoyed. This place is perfect for a relaxed date night, allowing you to savor the experience of cooking and enjoying great food at a leisurely pace.
