Saw a review from the Food Guy on Channel 5, and this place did not disappoint! This hole in the wall joint transports you straight to the streets of Bangkok. Insanely flavorful, bustling energy, menu constantly changing, will be back!

Right when you walk in, the delicious smell hits you! The decor and vibes of the place really makes you feel like you're at a street food stall. We didn't know that their menu rotates every week so it was a surprise to us that their menu was so simple and small. Prices are super cheap! Even cheaper if you dine-in than takeout. Food comes out pretty quickly. Everything tasted really good! Great depth of flavor and seasoning. The Thai basil was a bit too spicy for me but other than that there's no complaints. Thai iced tea was also really good! Perfect amount of sweetness and creaminess.

One word: WOW So freaking good and my brother in law who is Thai has the Thai seal approval and said this place is legit legit. He loved it so much he went 2 days in a row and he lives in south loop. It's super fun how the menu changes weekly. Chicken Rice - Reminds me of Hainanese chicken rice. The sauce here is so delicious. They need to jar up the sauce & sell it Kao Soi - I loved the noodles and the curry sauce it was drenched in. Chicken was decently sized but it was just a drumstick Papaya Salad - We got mild and that was a mistake because we thought it was mid Thai but it was mild mild. We'll get spicy next time Thai Iced Tea + Chrysanthemum - Both drinks were amazing! Coconut Thai Milk Custard - My daughter loved this Brown Sugar - Kind of reminded me of a Vietnamese dish. There was corn in my dessert. I really dig the coconut shavings Overall yummy experience and would love to come back. I think some of the portions could be bigger though but I think that's the concept of 'street food'

The hours here are a bit odd to open only on Wed, Thu, but going forward they added Fri and Sat too! The menu often changes, so keep an open mind as to what they may be serving that day. I got a bouncy pork noodle, which sorta is like wonton noodles except it's just pork balls. The vibe immediately takes me SE Asia. The blue Pepsi table cloths and metal stools. If anything, the people and their customers speaking their native language felt really fun to me. For an easy getaway and experience, Noodles Party hits the spot.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and the place was filled with locals and Thai customers, which is always a great sign. The food really felt like authentic Thai street food, I enjoyed everything that we ordered. Khao soi chicken: A rich coconut curry noodle soup with a chicken drumstick. Super flavorful. Chicken rice combo: Half regular poached chicken and half fried chicken. The fried chicken and the sauces that it came with was very good. Brown sugar dessert: A warm tapioca-based dessert cooked in brown sugar and topped with sweet and slightly savory coconut milk. Perfect if you have a sweet tooth like me.

This is the place to eat in Chicago in my opinion, and has made every other restaurant look bad…read more it's the absolute best meal in the city, at a great price, with a super awesome staff. I bring everyone i know here at some point. Only negative thing to say is that i no longer feel anything about anywhere else that I eat. Im okay with that though, because in my opinion this is how you run a restaurant. They are always full, but it is always worth the wait!

Sunday Funday with a fantastic first visit to a Chinatown gem!…read more I felt like Chinese food today, and rather than eating at my neighborhood regular, I wanted to go straight to Chinatown for the most delicious, authentic experience. Thanks to my deep dive and discovery on Yelp, MCCB turned out to be the perfect spot to achieve this. The restaurant has held its Michelin status for five years now, and for my first time visiting, the flavors here were incredible. Please note: the restaurant signage is not easily visible from the street since the storefront faces inward toward the mall plaza, and while looking for it, I ended up asking a local man and his wife for directions. He was so kind and welcoming that he unexpectedly left his wife on the sidewalk, my husband in the car, and walked me right across the street and into the mall to point it out from the inside! WAIT TIME: there is a 1 to 1.25 hour wait period to be seated for a table, and a $10 fee via credit card is required to secure your spot, which is then fully transferable to your bill upon checkout. The wait is a great time to walk, explore the shops, restaurants, all Chinatown has to offer, and get your steps and miles in! SERVICE: our first server, Allen, was a bit on the stiff, curt side, but overall nice. However, we had to move from a two-top table to a four-top to accommodate all the dishes we were trying. In that changeover, we were blessed to get one of the BEST servers there, Ashley, who made the experience wonderful. FOOD: we ordered an absolute feast, starting with three starters. The Cheng Du Style Dumplings were fantastic. The Crispy Crab Rangoons were actually not mini at all and had a great crunch. The Szechuan Style Cucumber was a bit underwhelming and a slight bit on the soft side for my tastes, as I prefer my veggies crunchy even when cooked. We ordered everything with the mild heat option so there was no overwhelming spice, just great flavor. For the main dishes, we started with the Cauliflower Flank Steak and added broccoli to it, which was a fantastic addition. It is cooked in an oyster sauce and has none of the standard sweeter seasonings of the other dishes. I chose this to balance a sweet and salty rationing across my dishes, finding that MCCB is a great place to get that perfect balance. The Chicken in Spicy Garlic Sauce was perfect with the mild heat option as well, and the Honey Black Pepper Flank Steak was also incredibly savory, tender, and good. We paired everything with garlic string beans, white rice, and a great jumbo shrimp fried rice. I preferred water, while my husband had a few Diet Cokes. The food comes out hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. PARKING: parking is convenient--there is street parking or you can use the two north and south lots within walking distance. The north lot is on Archer and Wentworth, and the south lot is on Cermak and Wentworth. Validated parking is permitted for a maximum of 3 hours, and you will only pay $3 with the validation. Just make sure to stay within that time limit and get it validated, because if you go over the 3 hours or forget the validation, you will have to pay the full price for the lot. PRICE: the pricing here is very reasonable for a Michelin-recognized restaurant. Our dinner came out to just under $146 total, which offers phenomenal value given the large portions and top-tier quality. If you are seeking high-quality, delicious Sichuan food in Chinatown that completely lives up to its multi-year Michelin status, and can be customized perfectly to your spice comfort, this is a great place to go. Highly recommend and will return with family!

The cold gluten salad is a true highlight here, with an impeccable springy texture and an absolutely perfect mix of chili oil and sesame in the seasoning. The flatbread was also a standout, being perfectly crunchy and flavorful alongside a cumin lamb with a good punch. I was less impressed by the hand-pulled noodles. The soup itself was fine, as were the lamb intestines (though I really prefer them grilled). However, for hand-stretched noodles, the noodles were just lacking and missing something. Maybe wheat noodles get better the further west you go, and it just isn't quite Lanzhou style.

I tried the biang biang noodles, but which was a bit bibimbap-esque with the tomato and egg, black bean pork, braised beef, and minced sauce. This was awesome as I love each ingredient individually but normally can't choose between which noodle bow I want. Mixed together, this creates a heavenly flavor of sweet, sour, and umami. The biang biang noodles were thick, chewy and bouncy, and like wider longer belts. The texture was actually so addicting and I devoured my bowl almost instantly. My friend got the Szechuan spicy vermicelli pot with beef, but this needed a bit more flavor and spice. Adding vinegar helped! Our server was super nice and friendly and helped us pack all our leftovers too.

Our large group was accommodated easily, and we were served relatively quickly after an initial delay while we were waiting for someone to come by. Food came soon after that. We ordered a wide range of things: honey shrimp, beef tripe, pork intestine, Hong Kong style fried noodles. Everything here is solid and delicious. Portions are reasonable too. Ambience is nice, clean, and modern. Only issue while we were here is that some in our group tried to order their baked chicken over spaghetti and they were out of spaghetti. The music kept disconnecting and cutting out, completely ruining the atmosphere. If your restaurant automatically adds gratuity for parties of five or more, DECLARE IT CLEARLY UPFRONT. Don't wait until customers are leaving to explain it. We had already tipped, but our waiter actually ran outside to tell us it wasn't enough because it HAD TO BE AT LEAST 18% GRATUITY. Forcing an 18% gratuity after providing terrible service and mid food is unacceptable. Be transparent about your policies from the start instead of putting customers in an awkward situation after the meal.
