I had high expectations based on the menu ....so wrong. "Iced Tea" literally tasted like someone took bath water with Irish Spring soap residue in it and put it over ice. My friend and I love pho so we've been checking out as many pho places as possible in the area. We probably won't return here. I ordered the pho tai, and I've definitely had better pho elsewhere. This place is over price yet food quality sucks, do not EVER come here. The waiters are all eating lunch together as we walked in and just stared at us like we were bothering them. Then they didn't even come to ask us if we were doing ok. The vermicelli is like some sort of deconstructed version. And the pork was rubbery. The sauce was not right either. I've been looking for a decent Chinese food restaurant and ended up here by a friend's suggestion. My first order experience went fine, except that even though I requested that my rice and entree be made spicy, there was no spice at all added. But the food was still tasty so I didn't mind much. I thought maybe they forgot to add it or something. Last night I placed my second take out order and requested spicy again, but alas, the cooks didn't try to add even a sprinkle of pepper. However, my main complaint is that the delivery person scolded me about how far my apartment was away from the restaurant. He said, "If you're going to order from us, give us a heads up 30 minutes or more beforehand, because I have other deliveries to do and you're far away from us." Now, I'm understanding that maybe the restaurant is farther outside their delivery radius than they're used to. But I don't like being told I'm "inconveniencing" your staff by placing an order at your establishment because I live too far. If I'm too far, then tell me you don't deliver to my address. After this experience, I'll be moving on to find another place that serves tasty Chinese, actually knows how to add spice, and doesn't complain when they accept an order outside of their delivery radius. read more

Finally we have a place to get a decent bowl of Pho in this town. It appears our hustling and bustling town is getting tired of redundant chains and uninspiring mom n'pop shops. I've dined in once and ordered out multiple times. I've read the issues with service, but can not validate any problems since my dine-in and take-out experiences have been adequate. This place is simple for me. I don't go for Chinese, so I cant attest to their Chinese items. It's called NOODLES PHO U...so UHHHHH, GET THE PHO! The broth is outstanding and I like to get their meat mixture, but they'll even let you customize what meats you want. I like extra tendon and beef. Throw the bean sprouts, mint, jalapenos, maybe a little siracha and you've got one awesome bowl of Pho. Their Banh Mi sandwiches are great, especially the ham and pate and barbecued pork. It'd be nice if their bread was a little flakier, but I still thoroughly enjoy the sandwiches. Throw some siracha mixed with hoisin on your sandwich and its perfection. Plus it's really inexpensive. I also enjoy their Bi bim bap, titled Korean stone bowl rice. Not the best I've ever had, but solid. Nodles Pho U is a nice change of pace. Get a nice bowl of Pho in the winter or when your sick and it should help you recover. Excellent variety in the menu. Fresh vegetables. Decent portion sizes. Overcooked chicken. The big negative here here is staff training and an apparently unsophisticated management. They really didn't seem to know what they were doing. That might help explain why there was only one table occupied in a Friday night at 6:30 p.m.. We had to wait far too long for the staff to realize we were there and to seat us. And we waited too long when it was time for them to bring the check. I had to stand up to prompt them to do it. We were seated next to the manager who seemed to be working on her accounting while glaring at staff and customers. Her presence right in the dining room made us uncomfortable. They are using a new wireless credit card tablet-based system which won't print a receipt right there. You have to either have it emailed or texted - and I didn't want to give either piece of information to them as we're on enough email and phone lists as it is. Anyway, they were having trouble with a takeout order where their system double billed the customer when he tried to add a tip to it. Just ordered dinner using Grub Hub and the delivery arrived piping hot within the time frame. We ordered the Pho Xe Lua (some meat I pulled out of the broth because it was too gristle-y) and a pineapple/chicken/shrimp fried rice. The pho tasted amazing and came in two containers one for the broth and one for the meat. There was thinly sliced fresh onion, variety of meat (the meatballs were my favorites), delicate broth, lovely scallion and cilantro, and delicious noodles. He said the fried rice was amazing. Really good noodle bowls! Some of their more traditional "Chinese" menu offerings are tasty and fresh as well. I initially tried Noodles Pho U for their Vietnamese noodle bowls but noticed they also offer a bunch of traditional Chinese entrees on their menu as well such as Generals Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken and chow meins. All of their meats are lean and of high quality, no mystery meat here lol. Everything I have tried is very good however I believe they are catering to the masses because some of their dishes that say "hot" are not all that spicy so I now order them extra spicy and they are perfect. Outstanding food. I have been to Noodles Pho U 5 times over the last two months and looking forward to going again in the very near future. Excellent service from the staff and always very friendly. Each time we have visited, the owner has stopped by our table each time to make sure everything was ok. As for the food, I have to agree with a previous poster, it is very addictive! Extensive selection of food to choose from on the menu. From appetizers to main course, everything has been very fresh and delicious. I'm the kind of person that likes three letter words. Especially words like "pho" and "bun". If you happen to like those words too, then do not miss Noodles Pho U for your Vietnamese cravings. However, this place is changing my mind. I ordered online this past Saturday after realizing I desperately needed bun. Ordering online is a breeze and my order was done earlier than expected. I ordered pork bun (wish I could type the wacky accent on the "u:) and the Vietnamese summer rolls. If you've never had bun, it's basically a giant (and I mean ENORMOUS) salad with tasty marinated pork, vermicelli noodles, and assorted veggies with some spicy vinaigrette. Both items were delicious and exactly what I wanted. The portions were enough for two people to split and I only spent $15. That's my kind of deal. Although I was only inside briefly, the staff was friendly and polite. You can eat-in but be forewarned, it isn't anything fancy. The restaurant was clean and simple. However, I don't go out for Vietnamese food for the ambiance. Definitely try Noodles Pho U. It is one of the better Asian restaurants on the south side of Naperville. read more

As far as the service goes, seeing as there weren't a lot of people there the night I went, I cant speak to the validity of the other reviews, but I was ok with the service we got. Not bad! I know a GOOD Vietnamese restaurant when I taste one. It had good portions! The broth Could be more flavorful but nothing too much to complain about. Also people have been complaining about bad service, I don't think they quite get it that an authentic Asian restaurant that serves pho for $8 will not have a top notch all American service. They will check up once in a awhile but usually you're the one bugging them for things than they are checking up. Which is the way I prefer, I don't like my server constantly checking my table. Overall it was a good pho restaurant around Naperville, surprisingly decent the fact that there is no other pho/Vietnamese restaurant close by unless you drive all the way to Argyle in Chicago. So we decided to try Noodles Pho U. Well...it was the most disappointing meal ever. We ordered a few different things: shrimp summer rolls, Vietnamese spring rolls, beef pho, the Pad Thai and sesame chicken. Lets start with the summer rolls, pretty good, heavy on the basil. The Vietnamese springs rolls were good, I'd get those again. The beef pho was bad. Like really bad. Took a couple bites and threw it away. The pad Thai? Omg, whoever said THAT was good is seriously mistaken and never had good Pad Thai. And why is it orange??? We spent close to $50 and threw it all away. I will NEVER go back. Omg I love this place!!! Outside of Chicago, this is my favorite Thai place to go to. Their Pad Thai is absolutely amazing and I can't get enough of it. They use real, crunch peanuts and you can't taste the egg. For me, that's a bonus because I don't like eggs. I love their hello kitty boba drink. It is very refreshing and I feel like I could drink plenty of these. The ingredients all taste fresh. For dessert, I normally get strawberry mochi. I'm not sure if they make this in house, but I can't get enough of them. When I order out, this is the place I choose. The lady behind the counter seemed annoyed at the fact that I didn't want to dine in and I swear she was rushing me and my friend to make our orders. If you do not want people to place carry out orders then do not advertise a carry out option. She seemed like she was overwhelmed and couldn't get anything to go right. Anyway I ordered the Thai spicy with shrimp and veggie fried rice. First they almost gave me the wrong order as I was walking out the door, the cook caught me and told me that it was wrong. I am glad that they corrected there mistakes because I would not have been too happy about that. But when I finally got home to eat, I realized that they burnt my food and I was pissed about that. How do you serve someone burnt food and think that's OK???? from the pieces that were not burnt, I think the flavors had gotten disturbed from the ones that were. Great find among the strip malls of Route 59. Decor was very bright and clean. Service was good, although there was a delay in getting my main course, the waitress apologized profusely and the food arrived piping hot, right from the wok, so I wasn't upset at all. We started with the crispy Vietnamese spring rolls - a real bargain for 4 crispy delicious rolls at $5.99. I like that they brought an array of condiments to the table, including sweet and sour sauce, hoisin, siracha and soy. Husband had the beef pho, which came in a huge bowl full of beef steak (and some other gristly parts that he removed) lots of rice noodles and a tasty beef broth. Bean sprouts, lime and jalapeños were served on the side. It was a great dish for a gloomy Sunday afternoon! I had the pan fried wide rice noodles with chicken,, medium spicy. It came with a wide array of stir fried veg, including mushrooms, peppers, snow peas, water chestnuts, bok cloy and broccoli. Excellent, very ample serving. We will definitely return to try some of other other items on the extensive menu (they also have a lunch special). Cost for 2 with sodas was only $20. read more

My wife and I frequent noodles pho u every week. It con tinually seems to disappoint . The food is good ,mostly ,but the service is sickening . There is no rhyme or reason as to how you are seated or who your server is. They make you feel so uncomfortable. We will go back to try again because they are close and food is decent. if you can find another vietnamese restaurant within driving distance please try them .I truely hope noodles gets their act together. read more

This is probably my new favorite Asian type food! They have amazingly fresh vegetables which is really important. And everything we tried was delicious. We ordered chicken pad see ew (one of my favorites elsewhere) and it did not disappoint. They actually pan fry their noodles so they are slightly crispy and sooo good. Their egg drop soup was great. The vegetable fried rice was so fresh and good,it could use more soy sauce but i can easily add that from their packets or at home. I also got the vegetarian pho and it is deconstructed for take out which makes it easy to add what vegetables you want in what quantity. Overall great service, food, and quality. read more

I ordered 4 orders of veggie egg rolls and they were soggy on the inside and little to no Vegetables in the egg rolls, the large shrimp fried rice LITERALLY had 7 shrimp in the whole thing.
