The Nook Burger. Comes with fries

The halibut tostada is consistently good and fresh and one of the best values in town. It is $22 and has a huge piece of fish on it. The flavors are all good. The Nook burger is $20, comes with fries. I was told that's a going price of a burger these days. My friend said it was very good and just right.

Buffalo wings and Grilled Ribeye Steak Sandwich

We ordered the Buffalo chicken wings and the chicken was all red and bloody. Then we sent the chicken back and the new batch of chicken was bloody again. We also ordered the ribeye sandwich medium rare and it came raw and cold in the middle.

I definitely enjoyed the Topa Topa burger. I have never had brie on a burger and it actually tasted really good. The llama burger didn't have much flavor, even though there were a lot of toppings. I have had the pork belly quesadilla here before and I really enjoyed that. I appreciate that it's kid friendly but kids cannot sit at the bar inside or outside, of course. Always been a big fan of the nook a little hidden gem.

Might be the best burger I've ever had. The service was really good and the fries were delicious!

Went there to watch an NBA game, VIBE was amazing, they had several TVs so other sports events where on as well. There were several other businesses that shared the space and it was open seating. I sat at the bar which was a different business than the "Nook" (which is a food only business). You have to order at a window and are then given a buzzer to alert you when your food is ready. I ordered the "seafood burger", which was a blended patty of salmon, shrimp, and scallops and I opted for truffle fries. Although very busy and crowded on this particular day, it did not take long for my food. Even if the wait would've been longer, the food would have been well worth it.

Where's the supposed Australian lobster tail in the Lobster mac and cheese? How come I don't taste any truffle? Oh I know why BECAUSE they didn't put either of those ingredients that's supposed to be in it! Instead of lobster they put crawfish. It is falsely advertised...don't waste your $22 it's not worth it! If you want really good truffle lobster mac and cheese go to Hendry's they actually have a decent amount of lobster and you can smell & taste their truffle.

The Nook is inside the Lama Dog Tap Room and my husband, and I wanted to try their burgers since they came highly recommend by the locals. I'm so glad we came here! I was impressed with their burger selection, and it was hard to decide what one to get. The burgers are generously sized, with a thick and juicy patty that fills the bun. The patties are cooked to perfection, retaining their natural juices. Each bite is succulent and flavorful. You'll find a variety of toppings to customize your burger. From classic lettuce, tomato, and onion to more adventurous options like avocado or caramelized onions. The buns are soft, slightly toasted, and hold up well against the juicy patty and toppings. The seasoning is spot-on, enhancing the beefy flavor without overpowering it. Whether you like it simple or loaded with toppings, The Nook's burgers are a delightful treat for your taste buds and don't forget the seasoned fries! They were perfect nice and crispy just the way I like them! We rolled out of there we were so full! Remember, taste is subjective, but most visitors agree that The Nook's burgers are a must-try when you're in Santa Barbara! They also offer other types of food if you aren't a burger person such as salads, pork belly quesadilla, and sandwiches. The atmosphere inside the tap room is one of my favs! Didn't really interact with the staff just ordered from them.

    Is there a Kids menu?

I don't think so, but I am pretty sure they can make something work for kids. When I was there the other night there were a number of kids. So I would assume they would adjust some menu items to be completely kid friendly.

The cocktails are highly creative, diverse in flavor and design, and really could stand up to any you would find at a top cocktail bar in a major city. The exterior doesn't scream "must come in" but you absolutely should. Is it a tiki bar? Yes, but in the best way. And the bartender deserves applause for pulling off 3+ quite complex cocktails every 5 minutes off of memory and without any support.

In a stretch of Lower State packed with breweries, wine bars, and roaming weekend energy-drink humans in vintage bowling shirts, it threads the needle nicely between cocktail bar and tropical escape pod. The menu leans tiki-adjacent rather than deep-cut exotica, but the drinks are smartly built and avoid the "every problem can be solved with more rum" philosophy. There's a solid spread of spirits across the board, which makes the place feel more welcoming to a broader nightlife crowd instead of strictly rum disciples clutching vintage Trader Vic's mugs. The Oaxacan Dead was the standout for me. Smoky, balanced, endlessly sippable. One of those drinks where every sip quietly talks you into ordering another without turning into a sugar avalanche. The Jungle Bird was also great, though presented more in the direction of a Negroni than the punchier tropical versions you usually see. Bitter, restrained, and easy to settle into. Crowd-wise, things tilted a little frat-floaty as the night rolled on, but the staff handled everything smoothly and kept the vibe from turning into full pirate mutiny. Service stayed friendly and composed even when the volume of the room started climbing like a malfunctioning theremin. Big bonus points for the location and outdoor seating. Being right in the middle of Lower State makes it an easy launch point or final stop depending on your evening trajectory. Grab a drink, people-watch, drift between breweries and wine spots, repeat as necessary.

The onion strings on it, the bacon, the barbecue sauce, and the patties themselves, really really good. The pickles were also DELICIOUS. Like it's rare for pickles to taste different, and these did in an amazing way. Their ranch isn't my favorite, personally. Fries - 10/10 Unfortunately have to buy them as a side to the burger (don't come with). A small was more than enough and I think they were roughly $5 or so. Tasted absolutely amazing though, they did them really well. Pepperoni pizza - 6.5/10 Solid, but probably wouldn't get it again. $22 and was an underwhelming size when I opened the box. Not much sauce, but decent bread and solid pepperoni. Forgettable though. Brown butter chocolate chip cookie - 5/10 Meh. Wouldn't get again. $4 I think? Spend roughly $50 on the 4 things, so a bit expensive, but granted I got a lot. Ambiance is so-so, but that depends on what you like. It's sit down at large benches where other parties can sit as well. There are some smaller 2 person tables and 4 person bench like tables as well. Expected for a brewery though. Nice that they had options. It's largely outdoors which is nice. I'd definitely come back here again.

The wait times are a little long but I like to think they're being very careful with preparing our food. Parking can be challenging depending on time of day but there is street parking. Besides the parking, my only gripe is that I came here three times for the PB and J burger, and they do not sell it right when they open, and the kitchen closes at 9 PM.
