They responded very quickly, priced fairly, and even provided time slots they had open, so I headed to the shop that same Saturday. When I arrived, they quickly directed me to pull in to start the service. It seems like I had just sat down when they called me back out to show me the the underside of the van. They wanted to know where I'd done the prior oil changes since whoever did them had stripped the tread on the pan from tightening the bolt too tight. I could clearly see that what they were saying was true and the pan had no tread and had been leaking oil this whole time. There really would be no way to do the oil change without also changing the pan. I asked how much that replacement would cost, and told them to go ahead complete the repair along with the oil change. This is my mom's mini van that I was going to drive back down to LA, so definitely wanted to ensure I was safe. I was told it would take 2-3 hours, but was quickly out in about 1.5. They even provided a discount when I paid since the repair was unexpected and fast, which I really appreciate. They pointed out some other concerns, but did not force any repairs on me, which I am grateful for. Will definitely be coming back for any future oil changes and repairs.

When the infamous dreaded call came for the damages, they told me to come pick it up--that it was done. As it turned out, I just needed a new key. My old key was worn from years of use. After expecting a bill of hundreds of dollars, I brought my baby home for just the inspection fee of $75. Well worth it! The second time I brought my car in, it sounded like a lawn mower. I knew this wouldn't be a cheap fix. My car is aging and only worth about $2000 for retail sale, so this visit would determine whether I would keep my car or donate her. I knew an exhaust leak would probably be too much to get fixed, but I figured I would see what thy had to say. The issue turned out to be a broken manifold. I cringed when I heard that, but then they said it would be a little over $425. I gave them the green light and even got an oil change on top of it. My car runs great again. With comfy chairs to watch tv, a small reading area for kids and high rises if you want to bring your laptop and get some work done. We were impressed with their recommendations, service, prices and felt they were fair and not pressuring us into spending more. So far we've used them for 2 smog checks and a handful of oil changes. While there isn't always a confirmation for appointment requests online, they've always been able to accommodate us when we came in for service. Their service is quick and reliable. This morning I had an issue with starting my car. I called SK Auto in the afternoon and Chris let me know they could check my car today and change the spark plugs or battery if needed. I came in as soon as I could and 15 minutes later, Chris returned with the mechanic's findings and quote for repair. I appreciated Chris's explanation of the issue and recommendation. After an hour and a half later my car was fixed and I'm on my way out the door. Give SK Auto Repair a try. They are reasonably priced, provide excellent service and get the work done quick. Check then Natomas Shopper for coupons for smog checks, oil changes and repairs. It is also worth noting that in the hour and a half I spent in their small waiting room I heard several customers leaving happy with their service and most sounded like regular customers.
