We chose NorCal Roofing to replace our roof. Michael Porter the project manager did a great job explaining the different materials and options for our roof. We did a 50 year composite shingle with Ridgeline venting, Gutters and Downspouts. We also had our patio resealed and covered as well. The price was comparable maybe slightly more but was worth it. The roofers were very respectful and efficient. They started within 2 weeks once we decided to go with NorCal. The whole process from stripping the roof to the finish was 3 days. read more

They started to tear down and put in my new roof in just 2 days. Everything happened so quick, I was so surprised by how fast everything happened. They delivered excellent service from start to finish. The quality of the material was excellent, and the installation was perfect. The team was knowledgeable and speedy at the work. Very sad and extremely unhappy that I did not give a bit more time before I posted a positive review of the roof that was installed by Nor-Cal Roofing. At least until the test of RAIN. While I still remember having a positive experience with Joe Garcia, that is where the positive experience ends. Prior to Nor-Cal putting a roof on my building I had never experienced leaks of any kind. Thinking I was being proactive for my property (the flattop roof was over 20 years old) I contracted with Nor-Cal. The leaks then began. In 4 of 7 units. Joe Garcia apparently long gone. Months of trying to get Nor-Cal to help with the roof landed me in a current legal entanglement. I did have to contract with a new vendor and have a completely NEW ROOF installed. Whatever you do stay away. One star review was only because-10 was not possible. read more

NorCal screwed me over. If you are a senior female, you are prey to these people. They didn't think I'd climb up on my roof to discover their shitty job. I complained when it was finished that it had rolls of wrinkles and I was rebuffed by sales "when it's 95 degrees it will lay down." He refused to fix it at the time. It's gotten worse. My roof looks like a 3rd grader did it, their paint job was crap, the cap looks like shit and doesn't even meet the wall, and they left major holes for water to ruin my new patio cover they put 3 nails thru after I asked them not to. For these people it's "screw the customer, she's old, she won't know." If you hire them, it will be up to you to supervise their people because there is no quality control. Someone needs to teach their employees what "rain" is. Better yet, teach it's easier to do it right the first time. For these folks, they don't do it right until you become enraged. If this isn't fixed, I will make them stars on CBS Consumer Complaint show. read more

I called NorCal back in June to come and look at the roof of the home I just bought. They came out promptly and gave me a great estimate. I wasn't able to get the work done as some other issues with the house came up. In the meantime, I recommended them to some family and they did an amazing job replacing dry rot. Fast forward to September, I call them back and they promptly scheduled the work to be completed. They were great to work with and I would have no problems calling them again as I feel my money was well spent. read more

I called this place back in January because i had a leak in my dining room from the storm. I kept calling back for updates and they kept telling me that they were pushing me up to the top. Finally 3/22 they come out. It was 2 guys, one barely spoke and the other was a bit young. I told him that I thought maybe the issue was our upstairs balcony but I'm not sure. I'm no roofer. 4 minutes later they knock on my door to tell me that my roof was fine and it was indeed my balcony. The guys never walked into my house, there's only one way to access the balcony and that's through the upstairs bedroom. They just assumed.... Anyways I was like do you know of any other companies that might fix balconies. Kid blew me off, and that was that. Then today, a week later I'm sent an invoice for $395. I call and I'm assume i'm dealing with the owner but he tells me I'm being billed for the minimum regardless of the fact that they could not do the work. I was like yes there's a minimum for actual work done. Then he says something to the effect of what do you think, we go out for free?! I told him I wasn't paying for services that were not done and I've never heard of anyone doing that. I also told him he could take me to court, look I'm 8 months pregnant with twins, now is not the time to try and get one on over me. Definitely be aware, find a more reputable company. Also by the lack of yelps here I can see that customer service is not their strong suit. read more

I called to get help with my roof because the storm took part of it off, I had water coming in my house. They said they were extremely busy but could come get someone out that day at least to tarp it, there were bigger emergencies than mine so I understood. I was told all they needed from me was to sign the work order they would email to me, it took 5 hrs to get the email it was 6:00 pm so what good was that going to do me? I even called a couple hours after I first talked to them but never received a call back. I wrote them off because the next day I had someone else coming to take care of it. A week later I got a call saying they could come over and take a look and give me an estimate, I was already annoyed with them and tried to brush him off but he almost insisted I let him come give me an estimate so I just agreed to appease him. He came over and got on the roof and said he'd have something for me in a couple days, I never received anything. About a week later I got another call from someone saying he wanted to schedule a time to come give me an estimate and look at the roof. What!?? I told him someone already did that and never got back to me, wasted my time. After sounding confused he said that my info was passed to him because the other guy was too busy. Okay, but didn't he give you the info??? He again said he wanted to come take a look so he could give me some numbers, but I said no thanks because they've been nothing but trouble and done nothing but waste my time. I understand that every roofer is busy trying to help everyone who had damage from the storm but that's just ridiculous. Not worth the trouble or your time!! I just had water pouring from my ceiling is all because they never got back to me and were no help. read more

Back in Oct 23 this company came to replace roof of Apt bldg I live in, they removed old roofing and left it bare knowing a rain storm was coming, after 2 days of rain they came to cover roof with plastic that blew off in some places then more rain that leaked through 3 of the 4 apts, my wife and I were chasing the leaks with buckets all night and for 2 days after. When they finally came back to address the issues, they asked if I'd do the repairs knowing I was the Manger at the time, so we came to an agreement to do the work, after paying for materials and doing the work on my apt, they ghosted me on payment. They hired another guy to do repairs in another apt and as far as I'm aware they ghosted them on payment, at the time bldgs were in escrow and have since been sold. They did shotty work and still hadn't replaced gutters they damaged. They are not a company to be trusted. I wouldn't have given them a 1 star rating but have too. read more

In December, 2022, I had a major roof leak. My kitchen was water damaged. Norcal sent someone out to give me an estimate. The roof work was completed right away on Christmas Eve. Another issue was discovered. 5 valleys needed to be repaired. An estimate of $1500 was agreed to. The work was never completed. I followed up with Norcal continuously throughout 2023. Talked to the staff & Bryan, the owner. No one called back. I finally gave up & called another roofing company. The work is now done. The secondary water/mold damage inside kitchen was handled by Servpro. Although it took about 3 months to complete, it was finally completed. read more

Nor-Cal Roofing completed a roof for me on a 7 unit apartment complex. Work was performed as proposal had outlined. When any unforeseen issues came up.( As they always do) . They were handled to the standard that I expect with any job or project I undertake. But seems hard to find unfortunately. However, working with Joe Garcia I was so impressed with the constant updates of what was happening on the job, scheduling and most importantly the quality of materials and workmanship. It can be challenging enough for a homeowner to be living through a project but when you are several hundred miles away having someone you trust take care of a very expensive job is more than appreciated. I got 3 estimates for a tile roof repair in Rancho Murieta. Joe's was the lowest by $2000 and was 1/2 the price of Atlantis. The work was done exactly when and how it was supposed to be. The final price was the estimated price to the penny. Tony (Nor-Cal) took on our modular home roof replacement that was complicated by an attached room and 50 ft covered deck that both had to be connected. Because he and his crew have commercial as well as residential experience, they were able to fabricate a solution to both problems. And the place had a shake roof! Tony and his crew were professional, courteous, and prompt. The work was completed on time, the finished product is excellent, and he stayed within budget. No we did not keep the shake. Nor-Cal just finished putting a new roof on our 2200 sq ft home. I've never had a more favorable experience with any business, ever. I must say that 5-stars is not enough for Nor-Cal. Project Manager Joe did the estimate along with a clear explanation of our options including pros and cons. His thorough knowledge of the roofing trade enabled him to answer our questions with clarity. He explained that any additional problems discovered under the old roofing would be addressed at pre-quoted rates, and would proceed only with our written authorization. Joe always did as promised; he and his crew always showed up as scheduled and on time. We were provided with physical evidence of the few problems discovered under the old roofing which were then repaired to our total satisfaction. They completed the job in less than half the time promised. Everyone on his crew was professional, courteous, and helpful.
