The Glendale location can be such a nightmare (parking, customer service, and clientele), so its nice have a Nordstrom Rack in the area. Although I prefer the regular Nordstroms because of their return policy, the prices here are a bit lower. There is a good selection of missy denim, which is a plus. The shoe department is quite large and most importantly very neat. When I visited the dressing room the attendants were polite. Overall I'm glad to have one closer to home. read more

I love shopping here--great quality, great service, great prices. Today my 4 year old wandered away and I couldn't find her. A worker (whose name I don't know, but whom I'm forever indebted) approached me, alerted ALL of the workers with her headset. A great discount store for designer clothes and everyone knows it judging by the crowds that flock here. They have a great selection of jeans, shoes, and jackets. Especially like that they carry a good inventory in all sizes of their jeans! Their shoe section also has a good stock in my size. I have small feet so I'm usually left with one shelf of shoes in my size but here I have A LOT to choose from. Lines are always long. A small price to pay for great deals. We always find some good stuff in northstorm rack. They sale good brand of merchandise but their price is almost 40%lower than the original price in the regular dept store. But u have patient to find the stuff that suitable for you. They usually offer additional 25% off for the on sale merchandise during the special holidays. read more

I love Nordstrom Rack this is one of the best stores that has amazing selection, although it does suck when you have such rude, horrible employees working for them. They really need to evaluate the people working for them. Not all the employees are rude but its just that one hand full that messes up, I know they have been there for a while because every time I go i see them! The 2 older ladies that work at the check out with the accents one is Asian and the other is Armenian or so are fa nominal!!! the crew in the shoe department are super helpful! I love them especially the tall African American gentleman. I just think the Managers need to really clean sweep the team a tad this store would be perfect if it wouldn't have that minor problem, then again employees are ALWAYS perfect when managers are around they should try a mystery shopper thing or something. read more

I visited this Nordstrom Rack store on Tuesday August 28th 2018. They had a purse I wanted on hold I had asked the bag/accessories employee that was working in the department their hold policy and she said they only hold things for a hour. I expressed to her my interest in a bag they had on hold in the front counter. The employee told me that the bag has been there since 3pm and it would go up in the rack again at 4pm, when I asked her it was around 3:20pm so I decided to wait the 40 Minutes in case they didn't buy it. While I was waiting I was looking around the store and the employee comes up to me letting me know that she told the manager Melanie about me also being interested in the purse and that it was going to be available as the customer who left it on hold had left the building. I was very excited at that moment. So I continued waiting .. minutes later that same employee comes up to me confirming my interest in the bag still I told her of course! Then she goes up to the cash registers and let's two other employees know that I will be getting the bag. I over hear them talking about it being on hold and one of the employees saying "yea the customer who put it on hold only had until 4pm and her time is over and she isn't in line so we can give it to her (me). I end up getting in line and getting to the cash register when the other customer who had it on hold walks into the store and starts yelling saying it has her name on it and that it still belongs to her.....the cashier calls over the manager Melanie 5'4 tall girl with dark brown hair and light skin to the register. She hears the other customer yelling about her bag and immediately tells her she will let her buy it and not me!!!!!! As if she is under pressure and scared of the yelling. She doesn't even make eye contact with me or apologizes ! All she says is "I can take your phone number down and name and call you if she returns it." And she didn't even have the nerve to look me in the eye while saying it instead she was putting a security pin on a shirt. I have a feeling the manager might of been racist as well the other customer was a Asian and yelling at her, while I'm Mexican she probably thought I wouldn't do nothing about it. I told the manager what her employees had told me about buying the bag and she would just say that she had it on hold first. I found this situation VERY VERY unfair!!!!!! Why do they say they only have a hour hold limit and then let customers slide with it? It's no fair at ALL! I stood at the store 40 Minutes for nothing!!! Not even an apology or a good explanation!!! Just because the other customer was yelling at the manager and I wasn't? I am a very unhappy customer and am very un satisfied with my visit to this Pasadena store. Shoe area is crazy!! ALL the kids shoes were on the floor, you cant even walk thru there, let alone find a pair!! I came in on a Monday evening. The store seemed very crowded as well, with the merchandise, could hardly walk in between the racks. Line was super long, UGH. Why do people come here?? read more

I have to say this rack has a decent selection of clothing compared to other bigger racks. I was looking for a blazer and I saw one that fit. I am small framed so it's hard to find jackets that fit me. There is always a long line at check out, but luckily people who are purchasing with credit card are able to make a purchase at the cc purchase line only. read more

This is by far the worst Nordstrom Rack in the world! Service is terrible. Lines are very long always and place is dirty. I wanted to buy sunglasses today after buying a belt however the locks on every pair of sunglasses right in the middle of the eyes makes it really hard. Then the mirrors were all dirty. I passed on the glasses since I couldn't see how they looked so I go pay and when I finally get to the cashier to buy my belt the cashier says hello and starts talking to her coworker while I am saying hello back. I ask about the sunglasses to see if I can get unlocked but she does not hear me because she is too busy talking to her coworker. This is the 5th straight bad experience that I've had. (Spoke to a manger last time) and nothing was done and nothing improved. This place is the worst!! read more

I've shopped at this rack many times over the past five years. I usually find what I want, which is great. If you're expecting the same customer service you get at Nordstroms, then this isn't the place for you to shop. Sorry, the customer service at most rack stores, from my experience, is ok to not so good. in other words, it's littereally the Nordstroms "Step Child". Aside from that, the deals are usually pretty good. 4 stars because the store is always clean (credit to the employess for that) and I find good deals. Was here shopping for a particular belt and was browsing in ladies shoes. Stumble across a pair of cool bootie but they didn't have my size. So i ask a sales person and honestly, she must really dislike her job cause she was so rude!! Please smile, its your job! Don't make me feel like a burden when its your job to let me know if you have a size in stock. The sales associates are not the brightest. Be careful when they're having an extra 25% off clearance sale because most of the time the employees will forget to give you the discount, even when you tell them at the beginning of the transaction. It's aggravating having to go back in the store so they can fix it. I guess you have to remind them more than once to give you the discount. read more

I have always loved this Nordstrom Rack! Great selections top end name brands for affordable prices. Customer service has always been great until today when I encountered my first rude employee, her name is Susie (pale short red hair)! What happened is I wanted to replace a Michele watch I bought the previous night because there was a long scratch along the metal band. Unfortunately I had bought the last one so I had to find another style! Now I had this nice employee helping me at first... and I ended up picking another watch a bit fancier...the employee allowed me to inspect the other watches to see if there is any defects so I can pick the best one..even the manager of the accessory department was aware of this. Now Susie came along sent the employee that was helping me away and took over in the rudest manner. No introduction and immediately started putting the watches I was looking at away saying she cannot have all these watches out even the one on my wrist (according to customer service policy there is no rule that's says the watches cannot be out of the display case - so she lied!). I told her I was inspecting it to make sure I didn't get a defect like the previous night and she barked that the watches aren't defected without inspecting it herself...not allowing me to look at them as well. I was so angry, even though I wanted the watch so bad I had to walk away before I said something really bad! I've been a good customer for years and never in my life was I ever insulted like that...as if I am a thief with my two baby boys by my side! The audacity...and the sad part is she didn't even care! She just continued along with her callus way like nothing happened! I understand people have their bad days but that is awful and just plain horrible!!! I spend hundreds of dollars at Nordstroms and Nordstroms Rack period. Tonight I was utterly baffled at one of the associates. Her name is Arlene, while I was at a express checkout counter, she was helping a lady who didn't understand what " would you like a printed receipt or email " question she repeated over and over. I them told " Arlene" print out the receipt for the customer she doesn't understand! theres a language barrier. I then come next to purchase my merchandise and I don't even get a Hi or Hello did you find everything ok?I then asked her if she greets her customers? She then says " SHE USUALLY SAYS HELLO BUT SINCE I WAS RUDE SHE DIDN'T BOTHER" Wow really NORDSTROM? That's the type of people you have running your business? I've been coming to this location for over 8 years not once have I been so angry!! I travel 30 minutes or so to come to this location just because I always find what I want and need. Your associate needs training in problem solving, instead of repeating herself to someone who doesn't understands the English language she should solve the problem by printing a receipt. After going to Nordstrom yesterday and my friend did not find the purse she liked we decided to go to Nordstrom rack right after to see if she can find it. Once I was in there I decided to look at sunglasses and I found a pair that I really liked when I went to go pay for it Rachel H. was at the register, I asked her if she has a sunglass case for the sunglasses and she pulled open a drawer that had about 8 cases and she said none that are Michael Kors then she proceeded to tell me about signing up for a Nordstrom Debit card and when I asked if the points on debit card would merge with the points on my Nordstrom credit card and she said no and I said well I don't need it then because it won't make sense for me to cumulate points on two separate cards when I can earn points faster one card. After I told her that, I asked her for the case again and she said can you go check the silver baskets to see if the case is in there, I check three of them and there was none. Then when I went back to the counter, she just pulled that drawer she looked at earlier out and closed it right away and said we don't have any in that sized, but she didn't even pull any of the cases out to try and see if it fits. She then tells me they had a sale today they don't have any cases, and that I can comeback another day for it. The Nordstrom rack in West Covina just gave me which ever case would fit my sunglasses and they tested it out to see which one fits. Rachel H. made me feel like I wasn't worth the time anymore because I didn't want to sign up for the debit card. I don't even live in Arcadia, I live closer to the West Covina location, I'm not going to drive 20 miles to pick up a sunglass case. read more

I usually have no problem at the store with today being the exception. Today I went in to exchange and the woman that ended up helping me made it a very uncomfortable experience. Initially when I entered the store I thought that I had two items from Nordstrom to return it turns out that my shirt was from another store and I hadn't realized. The cashier asked me about the shirt and I was sure it was from Nordstrom and as she was asking for somebody to check I looked over my receipts and realized my mistake. I let the cashier know immediately but she still made a rather big deal of it even though I apologized and tried to explain the mistake. Then I was using the receipt that Nordstrom sent me via email. I showed it to the cashier on my phone and she kept searching for a barcode that she said should be on it. I told her that this is all that was sent to me and she began speaking to me loudly to the point where other customers are now looking to see what's going on. I again quietly tell her that this is all Nordstroms sent me and she just became annoyed and exasperated and says "never mind, we'll just do it another way". Customer service is not just about ringing up a sale, it involves communication, patience and consideration for the customer. read more

I like the selection of products but HATE their customer service. The longest lines ever and people working here are so rude .... This is not the first time I was denied something. First time I did not get a return because did not have a receipt (it was gift) and now I was not allowed to put items on hold. Since when it's not allowed?? Love, love, love this store! I went today on a mission to find a formal dress with shoes and warp for a wedding we have this month. I found one dress that wasn't amazing but would work. When I asked for help finding something to go with it, the team went into action. Another girl went in the back and found some other dress choices for me. Among the items, a beautiful full length black sleeveless Ralph Lauren Evening dress marked down from $240 to $36. Then I got shoes and a wrap to go with it. So much fun. Saved a ton. Nordstrom Rack, specifically the one in Pasadena, California, is one of the great finds of recent times. My lawyer employer turned me on to this place and what a gold mine it has become for me. The reason is I think is because of the quality of the merchandise. The merchandise at Nordstrom Rack is soooooo much better than Marshalls or Ross, etc. And the shoe selection there is outstanding. There are lots of deals that are steals at this store, the selection and availability is awesome, and the prices are right. I most certainly recommend Nordstrom Rack in Pasadena to anyone looking to upgrade and update his/her wardrobe for a reasonable price. read more

I just phoned this location because I wanted to see if something I saw online was also available in the store. As I'm not that familiar (yet) with Nordstrom Rack, Courtney (who answered the phone) was so courteous and helpful, I had to hop on and write this review. She asked if she could put me on hold for a minute...when she came back she apologized for the delay and asked if she could call me right back. No problem ! She called back in literally 2 minutes and spent a lot of time with me on the phone. She explained that the online store is very different from the locations, and that they probably wouldn't have what I had specifically seen. This didn't stop her though from double checking to see if they had it, and was very helpful explaining that I could order them and return them in the store if they didn't fit etc. Good customer service is hard to find, and she went above and beyond to be nice, helpful and a great representative for the store. I was here this past Saturday and was able to find 2 pairs of True jeans that were my size for around $220 and a House blazer for less than $80. There was a long line but it took about 10 minutes to check out and the service was great. I'll be back. read more
