It's beautiful inside and outside, we were sat upstairs. I wish I remembered his name, but our waiter was so kind, so attentive and so welcoming. We ordered the ribeye cooked medium and sliced, portion was huge and meat was so tender. For sides, we got mashed, spinach and asparagus. I would reorder everything, but the spinach. It wasn't creamy and it was bland and watered down. Also for my ribeye, there was a corner piece that was cooked well done, like it was thrown on my plate. Other than that, everything was wonderful.
First of all, I highly recommend making a reservation in advance because on weekends this place gets extremely busy. We celebrated our anniversary here, and the staff took the time to give us a postcard with a small handwritten note, and at the end they surprised us with dessert, which was a very thoughtful touch and truly appreciated. As for the food, the steak was cooked perfectly very delicious just like the sides and the drinks. Everything was on point. The service is a solid 10/10. Highly recommended!
Cole's chop house is wonderful restaurant. They have a large menu of really great and unique food. Our server was also extremely friendly! The lobster Mac n cheese had truffle and was super rich. The puff pastry bisque soup is unlike anything I've ever tasted before. The lamb chops are solid too! The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, and is very lively!
Were lucky to get a last minute reservation for a party of 8. Off-season, rainy evening but great ambiance in this two-story restaurant. Covered, outdoor patio and nice bar compliments the dining room. Service was great and top notch. Unique corkage fee. Buy a bottle, open your bottle for free. Not bad! French onion soup was excellent along with their chopped salad. Several specials available to include surf and turf (delicious) along with a prix fixe choice. I chose this with my choice being the french onion soup (great on this rainy night), filet mignon, and a dessert. The filet was cooked perfectly and I chose a sauce, not because it needed it, but just to sample one of their sauces. The cracked peppercorn was excellent. Their chocolate cake was just ok. Not bad, not great. Would try something else next time.
This is definitely a place to try. I've been debating where to go several times when planning my trip, it was either this place Bottega, Bistro Jeanty, Bistro Don Giovanni, etc. But I said hey let's give this place a try they have a 4.7 rating on OpenTable. And it did not disappoint. For drinks we had the Twelve Mile Limit and the Cole's Sunset. They both tasted great and were not bad in price. For starters we had the special which was Buffalo Mozzarella with Cherry Tomatoes, Aged Balsamic Vinegar, EVOO, and Crostini Bread. This starter was awesome, I do not like tomatoes at all and wow I can say it was sooo good. For dinner my wife had a Petite Filet Mignon with Béarnaise and I got a larger Filet Mignon Bone In which was the special and I added Blue Cheese Compound Butter on top. For sides we ordered the Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes and the Sweet Corn with a Blue Cheese Compound Butter. You can get the butter on the side if have someone that does not really like blue cheese. The steaks were great, both were seasoned and cooked to perfection which was medium rare for us. I absolutely loved the blue cheese compound butter on my steak, it gave it like a saltier richer nutty taste which I really liked, it did not really have much of a blue cheese taste which was great since I don't really like how strong it could be but it paired nicely. However, I should have got the regular Filet Mignon since it had more meat without the bone. The sweet corn was really good with and without the blue cheese butter, but I prefer with. The Yukon gold mashed potatoes needed a little of salt and pepper but that's our preference. For dessert we had the special which was a strawberry shortcake with vanilla bean gelato. This dessert was flavorful and delicious. My wife also had an espresso martini which was really good as well. Overall my experience was great, the ambiance gave it a nice feel, classic steakhouse with good vibes. It's not flashy in any way, just a more relaxed atmosphere. Our server Atiyeh had exceptional service and was always willing to give recommendations. This place is definitely worth a try, I would recommend a reservation and we even came in at 8PM and they were still busy. Our total came out to $269 without tip!

Wonderful dinner spot! Came here our first night in Napa and had a delicious dinner on the patio. Our server was amazing (he had just come back from his own vacation and was more ready than ever to help us out!) The pork chop was highly recommended and my husband said it was awesome!!! Great food and great people!
First time at Cole's chop House! Went there with family for a celebration. Our server, Aliyeh Ali was Outstanding!! His descriptions of the specials of the evening were mouth watering! We all had something different as a main with a variety of sides. The steaks were wonderful! Halibut was cooked to perfection. Sides of Lobster Macaroni and cheese, potatoes Agratin and Gruyère gratin, onion strings, pan roasted cauliflower with garlic, capers, chili flakes and roasted garlic cream, sweet white corn with shallots, garlic rosemary, and blue cheese compound butter. We will definitely be back!!!
Came here for my dad's birthday so here we are. We came in w/a reservation for 5. I ordered the rack of lamb, my mom got a pork chop, my sister got a lobster tail, and my dad ordered the wagyu New York strip. The food here was as good as advertised. The service here is good as well. The staff here was really nice and the manager gave us pasta on the house to my baby niece which she really enjoyed. The ambiance here is modern, upscale, and intimate. Perfect for like a date, or a special occasion. Definitely will be back another time. Try it out if you like. :)
Second visit for my birthday dinner Food selection: ribeye, filet mignon potatoes, au gratin brussels sprouts I'm going to be honest the first time I came here. The food was much better and much fresher. The quality wasn't as good as it was the first time especially the steak. I was a little disappointed because the first time I came here everything was so good so this time I would have to give the food about a three out of five. ( cocktails) lemon drop & espresso martini both cocktails were very good. I recommend ordering the lavender lemon drop because the proceeds go to a good cause. Service: our server was bill he was very attentive, very smooth very professional went over their new menu items for the evening my man decided to do a very special dinner presentation for me and they went above and beyond to make sure it was special. I was in shock that I almost cried!!! The guys all had great personalities and were very engaging! like it was amazing and I love the aesthetic of Cole's It was perfect. I definitely recommend sitting outside under the fire pit. You can't beat that ambience especially if it's a nice night. Conclusion: I really like the aesthetic here I love the ambience. I love how the waiters are down to earth I would definitely come back ! Thank u guys for your service and making my birthday special!!! They did a great job also they provided me with a nice birthday card!!!
My new favorite escape martinis. I feel like where ever I go they're either too bitter or overall just bad but these were creamy, rich, the perfect amount of sweetness. The desserts we got were also soooo rich and sweet but so delicious. My only thing is I wish the bourbon (I believe) cake came with ice cream, it would definitely help with the richness it has!!! The bartender(didn't catch a name) was so nice and attentive, speedy and efficient. Definitely going back!!
It was my husband birthday and I wanted to treat him to a great steak house. So based on my research it lead me to Coles Chop House. I didn't really care for the restaurant. It was pretty tight space in there. Not what I pictured in my head. The tables are so close you have to wait for one person to walk pass you before walking pass. I didn't like that at all. It's nothing fancy, maybe for an everyday just because restaurants but it was something that stood out to me. The service was top tier, you get everything explained to along with any specials thats going on. I definitely would not go back and the food was just okay for me.

Exceptional dining experience here. The staff was intentional about being attentive, thoughtful and welcoming. The level of service from the entire staff was phenomenal. It makes you want to come back. Now to the food I have eaten lobster Mac and cheese at several restaurants but NONE compare to this. This was by far the absolute best lobster Mac and cheese I've ever had. The lobster is seasoned, they used three different cheeses, and it had the right amount of crunch around the edges of the Mac and cheese. My steak was pretty good as well but the lobster Mac and cheese stole the show. Let me also mention that the whiskey bread pudding was an excellent choice for dessert. I had a scoop of ice cream on top of the bread pudding which was certainly the right choice. read more
Brian1- This night was a fantastic evening with unforgettable service and food. I have anaphylactic food allergies and he made the experience worth while; absolutely phenomenal. For cocktails my mom ordered a new Mom and drop martini and I ordered a 12 mile reset. We both got the steak. I got the mushrooms and my mom got the potatoes. For her being her 65th birthday this was absolutely amazing and I'm so glad the Cole's chophouse could accommodate so quickly. She had an unbelievable birthday and I greatly appreciate everyone in the staff and hostess. The ambience of Cole chophouse is an upscale laid-back steakhouse with surf and turf options. I highly recommend coming here. Our servers name is- Brian and he was absolutely phenomenal in serving and attending to our table at everything we needed and wanted for our evening. Came here with my pup for dinner. Was able to make a same day reservation for a later dinner. I had a George Collins to drink They served warm bread which was delicious. I had the lamb chops (medium rare), a bit too gamey for me unfortunately. It was just meh. Truffle fries with bordelaise sauce. That combo was delicious. Had a great visit with my husband. We were in the area celebrating his birthday and decided to try this place at the last minute. Although it was a Tuesday night the restaurant was still busy. Fortunately we were able to be seated without a reservation. Our waitress was kind and attentive. She shared there were some additional items available that were not listed on the menu. Goat cheese appetizer and lobster Mac and cheese. We decided to have both as well as lamb chops and a petite sirloin steak. After the drone conference, me and my buddy found this jam at downtown Napa based on the reviews. What a win!!! From start to finish, our dinner here was nothing short of spectacular. Starting from the cozy, heated outside patio facing the street art monument on the boardwalk The Angus Rib Eye was grilled to absolute perfection - just the way we've requested it and packed with rich, mouthwatering flavor (melted butter on the side for dipping). The Lobster and Shrimp Bisque wrapped in puff pastry was a total standout - wow! - creamy, decadent, and absolutely jam-packed with flavor (and those lobster pieces!) We couldn't believe the size of the Chop House Hash Browns stuffed with fresh Onions - crispy, golden, and so enormous it could easily feed a family (and still have leftovers!). Every dish was crafted with care, and the service elevated the night even more. Our server had a touch of sharp humor that made the experience warm, personal, and unforgettable. And by the way - all the guests are extremely friendly and social. To finish, the Whiskey Bread Pudding with Bourbon Caramel Sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream was next-level. Went to Napa for my wife's 38th birthday. Enjoyed the weather, wine and scenic drive. And made Reservations at Coles chop House to finish the evening. The service and food were on point. It completed my weekend. I ordered the dry aged New York steak. The size and taste was perfect. Also had the French onion soup for my self. Didn't disappoint! My wife had the Filet Mignon. Good size and cooked to perfection! I will have to come back maybe for my birthday! read more

First time at Cole's Chop House and I loved it! Service was excellent and food options were great. I went with the rib eye and added the lobster. Cooked perfectly as requested. Tried a variety of sides including the corn, asparagus, lobster mac and cheese, scalloped potatoes, French fries and creamed spinach. Favorites were the French fries and scalloped potatoes, but all were pretty tasty. If you have mobility issues, ask to be seated on the first floor. The second floor doesn't have an elevator and I think the wheelchair access was out of order. There is outdoor seating available too. read more

My husband and I planned to celebrate our wedding anniversary in Napa, so we wanted to treat ourselves to a nice steakhouse for dinner. Cole's Chop House was suggested by my friend, who had been to the steakhouse before. I made dinner reservations for 6:15pm on a Saturday evening. OpenTable only had seating for outdoor, which was fine since we lucked out with beautiful sunny weather. It did get breezy as it got darker, but the heat lamp was cranked up and kept us comfortably warm. Guests can also ask for a heated blanket. Overall service was great. Our server was attentive and helpful, and the food came out in a timely manner. Appreciated the hospitality of the restaurant for giving us an sweet anniversary card and complimentary cookies. I have to admit that I thought the food was generally average. We ordered the wedge, creamed spinach, and lobster mac and cheese to share. My husband got a wagyu strip, and I got the lamb chops. Both meats were underwhelming. Honestly, the best thing was the lobster mac and cheese. read more
I came to Cole's Chop House with some co-workers for dinner for a reservation around 5:30pm on a Wednesday - it was a full house, with ever table seated despite it being the middle of the work week. We were seated outside, which was nicely lit and heated with space heaters, and had the perfect al fresco ambiance. The service was attentive and excellent throughout the night. I got the Twelve Mile Limit as a cocktail - strong but not overwhelmingly so and super pretty. We shared a bunch of sides and a salad, standouts included the brussel sprouts which weren't overly oily like some tend to be, and the mushrooms which were nice and flavorful. I had the wagyu steak, which was cooked to a perfect medium rare and well seasoned with salt and pepper, though I couldn't really tell that the cut was wagyu. For dessert, I got a seasonal fruit crisp, and tried someone else's creme brulee - both were excellent and not too sweet. The creme brulee might just be the best I've ever had. Overall, a nice classy place to have dinner, with good steak, solid sides and amazing desserts. Pricey, as expected for the quality and service, and I'd consider coming again for an enjoyable dinner with friends. read more

Came here to celebrate my husbands birthday and he was very happy with his meal. He ordered the waygu steak which was huge and a baked potato. There wasn't much options for me as I typically eat chicken so I ordered a Cesar salad. My favorite part was the dessert. We had the most amazing pumpkin cheesecake and also a chocolate martini and espresso martini to end our meal. We were both impressed with the hand written card they gave us for my husbands birthday. But the service wasn't very friendly. read more

Went to this restaurant for my friends birthday. We sat outside. The staff were kind and respectful. Very efficient and responsive to our needs. Tried a few things. Got the oysters, lobster and shrimp bisque, lamb chops and different sides to share. We enjoyed our food, it was so delicious. I enjoyed everything I ate and so did my party. read more

The food was absolutely incredible. Our servers were attentive, polite, and professional. The cocktails were wonderful and the white tablecloths and modern yet classic steakhouse decor really tied my bachelorette dinner together - the pictures don't do it justice. read more
We came here the day after Valentine's Day for dinner. My wife had been here in the past, but this was my first time. I was amazed with the whole decor of place such as the humongous display of wine bottles on the wall and the upstairs dining area (we ate downstairs). The staff was very friendly and welcoming including the owner Eric who came to our table to greet us and give us the cocktails we had ordered. I used to work with Eric's wife years ago, and my wife used to watch their son at day care; so it's was good seeing him after all these years. We started off with the Oysters Rockefeller which were excellent. I asked our server Atiyeh where the oysters were from, and he said fresh from the Chesapeake Bay. I could tell these were no oysters like I've had before. So good! Our server Atiyeh (who was very attentive all night and a wonderful host) was very courteous and knowledgeable a out everything, even the steaks. We were originally going to go with a 21-day dry-aged porterhouse, but suggested this might not be the right choice since we both like ours cooked medium. Long story short, he suggested dry aged steaks like like are better served rare or medium rare at best. He recommended the ribeyes which we had no problem with. We also ordered Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Wild Mushrooms. The steaks were superb! Nice charred crispness on the outside and juicy inside. Awesome flavors! The mashed potatoes were so smooth and delicious. The mushrooms also had sautéed onions with a gravy sauce. Very good. With all that good eating, we somehow found room for dessert which did not disappoint. The Peanut Butter Chocolate Mousse dessert was one of the best I've ever had! Not too rich with just the right amount of sweetness. This place can cost you a pretty penny, but the experience is well worth it. To be honest, a year ago I probably couldn't have seen myself being able to afford dining here. But things happen, the right pieces fall into place, and here I am. To be able to experience Cole's and what they offer means a lot to me. I hope to go back again soon. read more
This place is a must when visiting Napa. Highly recommend making reservations, it's always very busy. We went without a reservation as soon as they open and right away it got soo busy and packed. The food is delicious l, literally everything is soo good. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The owner Eric Keffer, randomly approached our table and said hello. We had an amazing time. read more

Alas, in all my years I have never seen a children's menu! That doesn't mean they won't work with you, but I have never seen one.

There is limited street parking in front and around the restaurant and pay lots across the street.
What is your Corkage fee?
I believe it's around $30. Super reasonable for a higher-end restaurant.

Yes, $30 per 750ml bottle. However they waive one fee for every bottle purchased from their list, including half bottles.
