Covered, outdoor patio and nice bar compliments the dining room. Service was great and top notch. Unique corkage fee. Buy a bottle, open your bottle for free. Not bad! French onion soup was excellent along with their chopped salad. Several specials available to include surf and turf (delicious) along with a prix fixe choice. It was pretty tight space in there. Not what I pictured in my head. The tables are so close you have to wait for one person to walk pass you before walking pass. I didn't like that at all. It's nothing fancy, maybe for an everyday just because restaurants but it was something that stood out to me. I ordered the rack of lamb, my mom got a pork chop, my sister got a lobster tail, and my dad ordered the wagyu New York strip. The food here was as good as advertised. Starting from the cozy, heated outside patio facing the street art monument on the boardwalk The Angus Rib Eye was grilled to absolute perfection - just the way we've requested it and packed with rich, mouthwatering flavor (melted butter on the side for dipping). The Lobster and Shrimp Bisque wrapped in puff pastry was a total standout - wow! - creamy, decadent, and absolutely jam-packed with flavor (and those lobster pieces!) Made birthday reservation @ Cole's and upon arrival promptly seated. Restaurant is in a stone building and with the music pumping loudly it gave an energetic vibe but also a little difficult to make conversation. We were seated with a nice birthday card from restaurant. Server Richie approached us with birthday greetings and proceeded to take drink orders and informed us on specials for the day. After giving us some time to look over the menu we finally decided on course of action. For appetizer we started out with Wild Mushroom Crostini. Mushrooms were very tasty. For entrees my friend got the Petite Filet Mignon and I opted for the Rib Eye Steak which both got requested medium cooked. For sides we got the Roasted Cauliflower and the Yukon Gold Potato Gruyère Gratin. We both really enjoyed our steaks! My rib eye was perfectly cooked and so delicious. I cut my steak into tiny slices so I could savor more bites. The cauliflower was okay but the potato side really stood out. So yummy! As Ritchie was going over dessert menu he mentioned that his wife really liked The Banana Cream Pie. Also a nice touch, they brought out a scoop of gelato with slice of chocolate and candle courtesy of the restaurant. Well with a recommendation like that we had to try it. It was a solid choice and one of the best banana cream pie I've had. Tried a variety of sides including the corn, asparagus, lobster mac and cheese, scalloped potatoes, French fries and creamed spinach. Favorites were the French fries and scalloped potatoes, but all were pretty tasty. If you have mobility issues, ask to be seated on the first floor. The second floor doesn't have an elevator and I think the wheelchair access was out of order. There is outdoor seating available too. read more

OpenTable only had seating for outdoor, which was fine since we lucked out with beautiful sunny weather. It did get breezy as it got darker, but the heat lamp was cranked up and kept us comfortably warm. Guests can also ask for a heated blanket. Overall service was great. Our server was attentive and helpful, and the food came out in a timely manner. Appreciated the hospitality of the restaurant for giving us an sweet anniversary card and complimentary cookies. I came to Cole's Chop House with some co-workers for dinner for a reservation around 5:30pm on a Wednesday - it was a full house, with ever table seated despite it being the middle of the work week. We were seated outside, which was nicely lit and heated with space heaters, and had the perfect al fresco ambiance. The service was attentive and excellent throughout the night. I got the Twelve Mile Limit as a cocktail - strong but not overwhelmingly so and super pretty. We shared a bunch of sides and a salad, standouts included the brussel sprouts which weren't overly oily like some tend to be, and the mushrooms which were nice and flavorful. I had the wagyu steak, which was cooked to a perfect medium rare and well seasoned with salt and pepper, though I couldn't really tell that the cut was wagyu. For dessert, I got a seasonal fruit crisp, and tried someone else's creme brulee - both were excellent and not too sweet. The creme brulee might just be the best I've ever had. Overall, a nice classy place to have dinner, with good steak, solid sides and amazing desserts. We certainly got our fill of great steakhouse staples - the stars for us were the sides and appetizers; while not listed on the menu, the lobster mac and cheese was available to order, and it was truly phenomenal with a rich seafood flavor, perfectly cooked macaroni, and a crispy baked crust. The lobster bisque in puff pastry was an excellent combination / there's a special ingredient that makes it different than your traditional lobster bisque but we couldn't quite put our finger on it - tahini/sesame perhaps? Nonetheless, quite remarkable. The creamed spinach was well done, although not the best I've had. We ordered the Porterhouse steak for 2 which they kindly split for us, and it was cooked to a beautiful medium rare. It was a miracle we were able to fit any dessert into our stomachs, but the whiskey caramel bread pudding was stellar - served warm and beautifully cooked. We came here the day after Valentine's Day for dinner. My wife had been here in the past, but this was my first time. I was amazed with the whole decor of place such as the humongous display of wine bottles on the wall and the upstairs dining area (we ate downstairs). The staff was very friendly and welcoming including the owner Eric who came to our table to greet us and give us the cocktails we had ordered. I used to work with Eric's wife years ago, and my wife used to watch their son at day care; so it's was good seeing him after all these years. We started off with the Oysters Rockefeller which were excellent. I asked our server Atiyeh where the oysters were from, and he said fresh from the Chesapeake Bay. I could tell these were no oysters like I've had before. So good! Our server Atiyeh (who was very attentive all night and a wonderful host) was very courteous and knowledgeable a out everything, even the steaks. We were originally going to go with a 21-day dry-aged porterhouse, but suggested this might not be the right choice since we both like ours cooked medium. Long story short, he suggested dry aged steaks like like are better served rare or medium rare at best. He recommended the ribeyes which we had no problem with. We also ordered Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Wild Mushrooms. The steaks were superb! Nice charred crispness on the outside and juicy inside. Awesome flavors! The mashed potatoes were so smooth and delicious. The mushrooms also had sautéed onions with a gravy sauce. Very good. With all that good eating, we somehow found room for dessert which did not disappoint. The Peanut Butter Chocolate Mousse dessert was one of the best I've ever had! Not too rich with just the right amount of sweetness. This place can cost you a pretty penny, but the experience is well worth it. To be honest, a year ago I probably couldn't have seen myself being able to afford dining here. But things happen, the right pieces fall into place, and here I am. Came here with two friends to celebrate my birthday. We've been wanting to come here for years, being locals, and finally made the plans to do so. We made a reservation and were sat at our table immediately. We asked to be seated outside since the weather was so warm. They do also have the heaters if you tend to get cold from the breeze. Our server, Ritchie, was very pleasant and gave us plenty of time to look over our menus. We decided on splitting the lobster bisque, cheese platter and oysters for our appetizers. We weren't very thrilled with the appetizers, nothing wrong just not for us. The cheese platter was made of mostly stinky, soft cheeses that only one of us liked. The real treat that all of us agreed on was the perfectly cooked rib eyes, the lobster Mac n cheese and the potatoes gratin. One person in our party opted to add the scallops to their rib eye and gave each of us one and it had to be the BEST scallop any of us have had. If that all wasn't enough we also got desserts!! The bread pudding had the most delicious whisky caramel that apparently people are so in love with they ask if they sell it in jars, unfortunately they don't! If you haven't been to Cole's, you haven't had good steak! We make sure to go every single time we're in Napa and they have never disappointed us since our first visit about three years ago. We always start with the oysters Rockefeller and no one makes them better than Cole's. They're flavor packed and always a huge bite that's sure to please! The steak is always cooked to perfection and the seasoning is always perfect, never too much or too little. My boyfriend and I have had just about every steak on the menu but our go to is their Famous 21-Day Dry Aged New York Steak cooked rare. It's perfect every time and the flavor is unbeatable. For sides we've had quite a few of them but you're in for a real treat if they have the lobster truffle mac and cheese, that dish is a star on its own. If truffles or seafood aren't your cup of tea then the potatoes gratin are sure to please instead! For dessert, even though we're always too full for it, we almost always opt for the seasonal crumble. It's always perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. As for the space, Cole's has an incredible older steakhouse feel and the patio is amazing regardless of season. If you're looking for something a little quieter I recommend the patio, even when it's freezing outside they keep it super warm in there!
