I am a local small business owner and try to support my own local businesses. Rick Goebel helped me - exactly what I was looking for - including size. Even went back into the shop to find samples in the sizes he thought I should try on - worked within my budget - met the graphics guy to discuss changes to my logo so it would stitch better - suggested I email pictures with a ruler against what I already have so the graphic guy could create a scaled sample (saving me a trip back to the shop with my sample) It took me a while before I finally went in and placed my order. I asked this company to embroider a hat for me. They refused saying I needed to buy bulk. Even though I currently have them making me a hat through a different avenue they said they don't do individual orders. They did refer me to stitch by stitch at the mall who was absolutely awesome. read more

So this review is a little awkward... but fair is fair. The firm i work for is technically a competitor of North American Embroidery. We don't do any embroidery ourselves, but we (re)sell it. We have sources in Reno and all over the country. Embroidery is NOT a commodity. Doing it right requires careful planning and a thorough understanding of the garment and the artwork. I wave bought and sold 10s of thousands of embroidered products... and I can tell you that NO ONE does a better all around job. The quality of the finished product is beyond compare. Really. And the service and turnaround cannot be beat. They also have an extensive showroom... so you dont; have to pick your product out of a catalog: you can touch it and feel it first. As always... there are cheaper places... but you get what you pay for. My firm, incidentally is MORE expensive... because we are so impressed with NA's work... that we now have them do it and mark it up. You are now in the know. Great customer service which is such a plus. The embroidery I did turned out fine and i really like how clean the embroidery backing was when completed (no thick or big white pieces of material). I am pretty disappointed with the quality of the pocket polo shirts they sell. I purchased a few and after a year all of them are tearing at the pocket and another one won't stay buttoned. I've had to sew them up a couple of times so far. Chinese garbage. read more
