Upon a great recommendation from our plumber, we hired North County Glass to install a new frameless glass shower door for us, and we are mighty glad we did! I had driven to their showroom on East Lincoln Avenue in the city of Orange, and located in a strip mall, and they're easy to find. I met Sharon (who runs the front desk and assists with sales, and like me, she wore a mask), and she walked me around the very clean showroom, and answered all my questions (I had many) as I snapped away with photos. When we were ready for that new shower door, I immediately called NCG, and Ramiro (installer, bid, glazer) came to our home (masked! Thank you, Ramiro!), took all the measurements and exactly a week later, Ramiro and Ricky (both masked) showed up to install the door. Which by the way was gorgeous. We ordered the Diamond Seal Protective Glass Coating, and say what you will, but I have a gut feeling, this stuff will pay off in the end. But Ramiro reminded me, the glass should be squeegeed after "every" shower, and can be wiped with those soft microfiber cloths, and something called Sprayway (Glass Cleaner - Amazon) is safe to use on it too. It won't do any good to buy a Diamond Seal Protective Coating, if you never wipe down the shower doors. Right? The coating is there to protect the glass from mold and mildew, and adds years to the glass's life. By the by, the shower door looks great!! Ramiro and Ricky did a wonderful job with the installation and cleanup too. Super duper customer service all the way around. And we will definitely use them for any future shower glass project. Plus, the cost for the entirety was extremely reasonable. ** If you are on the fence (or shower) vacillating hiring a great team to install a new-glass shower door, then, vacillate no more, and give North Orange County Glass a call, I really believe you'll be like us . . . glad you did! Almost 4 years ago, our shower door exploded all by itself. We had countless appointments with other companies who had come to our house to take measurements and would never even bother to call back to let us know that the door was not something that could easily be replaced. North County Glass came out the next day, when they said they would, took measurements and said they would call back and let us know what could be done. We thought, "Here we go again!" No more than an hour later, we got a call back! They said they had a solution! They let me know it would take about a week for the door to come in and would give us a call when it arrived to schedule the installation. True to their word, they called and scheduled the install. On the scheduled installation day, they arrived on time as promised. I cannot express my gratitude enough to this company. My bathroom has been restored and I am so pleased! Recently, I reached out to several shower door companies for help w/a problem with our shower door hinge. Several responded they could not help if I didn't purchase the doors from them and a couple gave estimates to replace the hinges. I asked for a quote on Friday evening approximately an hour before closing. They got back to me within 15 minutes with a very reasonable quote.
