When our furnace was nearing end-of-life, we reached out to Castle for quotes on a replacement, a heat pump, and a dual fuel system, with some redesign of our duct work in the furnace room. We really wanted to go with a heat pump, but due to some circumstances that are unique to our house, we decided to go with a gas furnace replacement. We didn't make a decision right away, and Richard would check in with us on occasion, but wasn't pushy at all. Then, when our furnace gave out completely (in the middle of a cold snap in December), he was able to revise our quote quickly. We took three other bids; Castle's was the best on price and we liked their maintenance program, which we plan on purchasing. We also appreciated the time taken with us to answer questions and commit to a timely install. Key to decision was their proposal to a required change in furnace configuration and redesign / alteration of the ductwork. We originally discovered Castle through the Bosch website Dealer Search. We hadn't heard of them before, but we liked what they had to say on their website (seemed like good people) so we had them come out to discuss the installation of a new Heat Pump. We got bids from a few companies, but Castle really stood out as trustworthy and the type of people you could rely on for friendly post-purchase support. Even to create the estimate before getting the job, they spent at least an hour at our house examining the old system, taking measurements and crawling under the house and through the attic. AND they were happy to come out twice as I had follow-up concerns with where to put the outdoor unit due to my irrigation set-up and electrical panel. Richard was super patient and more than happy to answer any questions we had. By comparison - the two other companies that came out to bid didn't even enter our home. They were sizing our system needs based on their gut, which wasn't confidence inspiring. The actual demolition and installation phase was amazing. They were fast, yet thorough and kept everything super clean! Before this project, I failed to appreciate how many pipes, hoses and electrical lines are needed for a heat pump to operate. So I was super impressed with how Castle was able to keep everything running in tight lines, with minimal visual clutter. We encountered one issue with the operation of the unit about three weeks after installation (it was tripping off) and they came out immediately to trouble-shoot and resolve it. Works flawless now.
