Yum! We came by around 5:30pm which seemed early for dinner but luckily got a table! And good thing, too. Within half an hour, the entire place was packed!! My mother in law calls this the Joy Yees of the north shore and she prefers the food here compared to the one in Evanston. The food is fresh and the drinks are delicious. I can definitely see similarities as their menu is huge - you almost need a table of contents and index to find what caught your eye. I've passed this place a few times, it's in the same strip as the Jewel, just a few stores down towards the. Keith end. Here tonight for the first time, ordered beef with broccoli, sesame chicken and 2 fruit smoothies with boba. My mango-passion smoothie was amazing and my dining companion's durian one was awesome too. Sesame chicken was really tasty, I've had better but honestly this was delish. The beef with broccoli was good too, the beef was very tender and seasoned well. Service was slightly slow when we first arrived, but once we placed our order our food came out at a regular pace. We'll def come back, it's really nice they're open on Sunday's, as our go-to Chinese place is closed that day. read more

This is my new go to place outside Chinatown. Ordered the Cubed Beef. Salt n Pepper Squid, Garlic Shrimp Over Pasta and Spicy Korean Wings. Everything was very tasty and not too oily. The wings were the bomb. Juicy yet crispy. One of the best I've had. Beef was very tender and flavorful and the garlic in the shrimp wasn't overbearing. Will definitely come back to try the many other dishes. Lastly the decor was clean and crisp and the service was attentive. read more

Do not expect to place an order online FROM THEIR WEBSITE, pay for the order in full, drive to the restaurant, and receive any food. You CAN expect to wait in line while their phone rings incessantly for 15 minutes until you get to the front of the line and are then told that they don't have your order, it's not their fault, and they have no way of refunding you -- all while maskless. You can also expect to be blatantly ignored after being told they can't do anything. No stars for no food and absolutely despicable service. Another guy in line got the same exact treatment so it's not a one-off oopsie user error. Hmm. Chinatown Kitchen, a takeout only mom and pop, is just down the street with excellent food and polite service. We usually dine at PF Changs but thought we would try a different Chinese restaurant. We did do take out and it usually isn't as crisp/flavorful as fresh from the kitchen but...our chicken was a bit rubbery and the beef fatty. I cannot believe I'm going to say this , but north point chopsticks is as good as any Korean restaurant in the city. Their menu offers pretty much anything Asian inspired .. I think I'm still In shock that the food was that good ! Had the salt and pepper wings .. crazy delicious.. crab Rangoon stuffed perfectly .. oh and they serve 6 per order .. I was stunned ..most restaurants serve 5 per order , nope , not this place , it's a perk for sure in my book! Bibimbap was one of the best I've ever had , Mongolian beef , pretty dam delicious ! I cannot wait to go back , this place is worth the trip from anywhere. Of course it's byob, so bring some beer or wine , take a seat and be prepared to eat an incredible meal !! read more

Delicious and so glad I decided to try it today. Food was ordered online and ready when I got there. They made the smoothie fresh when I picked up and I am glad they did. It was delicious and full flavored. I tried the Lemongrass Chicken, it was very yummy but the portion was a little small, more rice than the entrée so I will order it without the rice next time. Crab Rangoon is awesome, full of filling and fried perfectly! Fried Garlic Fried Rice is yummy too although it wasn't spicy at all. I could have used more spice and garlic flavor but again it was very good just know how to customize for my personal tastes next time. Workers were friendly and quick to fill my order and the restaurant is clean and well decorated. A different redo and cannot wait to go back again! read more

Yes, they have an extensive menu (like JoyYees, if you haven't read that already) but the quality and quantity is lacking. Please note, my go to Chinese place is Chinatown Restaurant in Mo Grove when I cannot go to actual Chinatown or MingHin in one of the neighboring suburbs. We carried out the following dishes for a family of six: Basil Chicken-this was nothing like the Thai version I expected (Siam House makes a good one). The dish comprised of slices of chicken doused in sauce with carrots and peppers. Beef Chow Funn-beef was tender but scarce. I was delighted that it came with gai lan but again everything was doused in sauce. The noodles were separated from the actual dish and again the quantity was smaller compared to other Asian restaurants. Salt and spicy japanese tofu (mild) - this dish actually had a decent amount of tofu, which made me happy. However, flavor was lacking and that is probably because I asked for it mild so my kids could eat it. I didn't get that salt and spicy flavor so thumbs down on this dish. Lemon grass pork chops - there were about 5 thin yet tender chops and to my surprise, they were not dry. The flavor could have been bolder but it was decent compared to the other dishes ... maybe because it was not doused in any kind of sauce. Mushroom tofu - this saucy dish didn't really stand out for me. Fried tofu with white mushrooms and carrots and LOTS of onions. Crab Rangoon - free appetizer for ordering over $30 in take out. They tasted like your typical crab rangoons so no issues there. Overall their dishes were drowned with sauce and they supplied plenty of rice to soak it all up. I'd rather have more food and flavors vs. gravy. Additionally they all looked the same and eventually tasted the same. Would I go back? Nope. read more

Best Chinese food! We have not gotten anything we didn't like from this place and would travel over 30 miles just to get here any day! Our go to: salt n pepper squid, Thai Basil beef chow fun, eel n shrimp fried rice, steam fish. As for the freezes, I get the red bean, coconut with tapioca freeze. My daughter likes the red bean, taro with tapioca freeze or mango, pineapple with lychee jelly. But really, anything you get here will be great! read more

This place is awesome! I wish they had another location in the city. Their menu is HUGE, so there is sure to be something to satisfy everyone in your party. First off, I don't like writting bad reviews, but I was very disappointed in many aspects of this place. See below: 1. Delivery time. Said 1 hour, ended up 1 hour 45 min. 2. Had to call on status of food at 1.5 hour mark. 3. Food stone cold. 4. Viet fried egg rolls were sitting in pooled oil in container, inedible. 5. Sweet chili sauce was subbed for sweet and sour, no biggie but not what I wanted. 6. Korean dish Bibimbap....was not Bibimbap in any shape or form other than the rice and gochujang (i had to ask for). Whole dish was sweet and no sesame oil flavour. 7. Kimchi was to sour to serve as a side. I've been cooking authenic Korean since I was 19, so I guess I should have known better by the insane cultural diversity of the menu selection, instead of one focus but this wasn't even close. Maybe they do Thai, Japanese or Chinese better but the Korean selection doesn't seem the way to go.... and if you're hungry, maybe don't order delivery. read more

Been here a couple of times - Generous portions, fast service, and moderately priced. The menu is very large and overwhelming; it has been improved, however is still very difficult to navigate. The flavors are generally enhanced by sugary sauces or salt rather than by freshness of the ingredients. Sushi is not on the menu and isn't available. Tried this place today it was pretty good. Had one of the lunch specials $7.95 , which included spring roll, Mongolian beef and fried rice, and I tried one of their many smoothies. I had the avocado one and got it with tapioca----for future orders I would not get tapioca, it added to the cost and there was way too many of them. The flavor and consistency of the smoothie was great! In regards to the lunch special, good value for what you got and portion size adequate for most, or at least what you should normally eat. Flavor good. Fried rice was sub par and looked almost like white rice with egg and a spash of soy sauce. I have had much better spring rolls and probably wouldn't order a side of them in future. Did you know? This is the equivalent of Joyees -- great chinese food from the city, but located in the suburbs. My husband and I tried the beef cubes and black pepper beef. Absolutely high quality beef, tasted great, and prices were on point. They have a lot of authentic options ranging from pho to Cantonese dishes. I absolutely can't wait to go back. FYI, the menu is overwhelming. There are a lot of options, but don't worry because they do a great job at making sure even the less commonly ordered items taste great. read more

North Point is a great spot for all different kinds of Asian food! It is very much like the restaurant JoyYees (I believe a precious owner/employee opened up NP). It has a great mix of food, and everything I've tried has been delicious! And this is coming from a Korean person(: While the food is quite good, the service is not fantastic. I've gone to lunch multiple times there (I go to school right nearby), and there have lots of times where employees are just standing around while I'm waiting to have my order taken. The owners are nice, but I definitely think their service can be elevated. read more

Terrible incompetent staff. I spoke to someone named Josh or Joe or James or something along those lines and he was totally incapable of solving or handling customer concerns. Their kung pao chicken had absolutely no flavor whatsoever and didn't even come with peanuts. They serve their lunch specials with white rice. Apparently you should KNOW to specify that you want fried rice. To me, that is just unheard of when it comes to a Chinese/Asian place. Trying to talk to this Josh/Joe person was like talking to a wall. Even worse, there was supposedly no manager on duty. This place sucks. Disgusting service and bland overpriced food. read more
