The food here shines, making it worth a special trip -- both again for the rarity but also the quality. For me, the poke nachos are a must order item, just the perfect mix of large chunks of tuna with super crispy wontons, fresh avocado, and a good helping of sauce. Amongst friends, we've agreed that this is a must order item. The huli huli chicken is also unreal in flavor and texture. Besides being marinated and sauced well, the chicken is melt in your mouth tender while simultaneously having a delicious crisp skin. Think brick chicken, but with more flavor and a much better price. The rice and macaroni salad that accompany this are also well done -- and feel more like a core part of the meal rather than an afterthought. The grilled pork is pretty good as well, though I kind of wish it wasn't sliced as thin, as certain pieces felt a bit dry. The spam musubi with a light touch of furikake also provided a flavorful, fun dish to accompany the other delicious items I tried. Overall, delicious and consistently surprises me with the quality of the execution and bold flavor combinations. This is on my top places to visit in the area and has never disappointed.

My family has been coming to this restaurant for years, which makes this experience not just disappointing, but very upsetting. We placed a pickup order totaling over $100. When I arrived, I was told our order had been given to another customer. Instead of immediately apologizing and remaking the food, the front desk employee spent several minutes trying to find the order, then called the customer who took it and asked him to come back with the food so it could be given to me. This is an obvious food safety issue. Once food leaves a restaurant, it should never be redistributed. When I calmly said I was not comfortable taking food that had already gone to someone else's home, the employee argued with me extensively, insisting it hadn't been touched. I had to repeatedly ask for the food to be remade. When the other customer returned, the employee made a pointed comment that the food would be thrown away "because we have to remake it," while looking directly at me. This felt accusatory, uncomfortable, and inappropriate, especially since the mistake was not mine. After waiting over 40 additional minutes, I was still charged the full amount. When I politely asked whether there would be any consideration for the delay, I was told, "No, we already lost money on you." Being spoken to that way after showing patience and understanding was shocking and deeply unprofessional. Unfortunately, the situation did not end there. When we later called, the same employee refused to provide a manager or owner's contact information, and refused to let us speak with a manager. We asked the employee for her name and she replied "What's YOUR name and what's your problem?" That comment alone reflects a serious lack of professionalism. We emailed management twice to address what happened and have received no response. Mistakes happen, but what is unacceptable is arguing with customers about food safety, making them feel blamed for expecting safe food, speaking to them disrespectfully, and then ignoring follow-up. Management should take this feedback seriously, because this experience reflects poorly on their business. We are very sad to no longer be customers of PNS after many years of enjoying their food.

We also shared the fried chicken and pork belly bao buns, which my husband and our friends couldn't stop talking about. Everyone loved their meals, and we left completely stuffed. Unfortunately, one interaction put a damper on an otherwise great dinner. My husband has had a white fish allergy for 32 years. He can safely eat certain fish like tuna, salmon, and trout, so he usually has limited sushi options but still enjoys it. He ordered what appeared to be a safe roll, but after the first bite realized it contained masago. We asked what type of fish their masago comes from, and the server confirmed it was from a white fish. Thankfully, he noticed immediately and didn't have a reaction. The server did offer to have the roll remade, which we appreciated. However, before doing so, she repeatedly told us that she and the chef "think all fish are white," implying that his allergy didn't really make sense. Hearing that several times felt dismissive of a very real allergy he's managed his entire life. Food allergies aren't something anyone should have to defend while dining out. To end the meal, they kindly brought out The Ridiculous dessert and the coconut cheesecake for my husband's birthday, and both were delicious. However, the moment was a bit overshadowed when the server mentioned, "We normally don't give these as birthday desserts, but because of what happened, we did." While I'm sure it wasn't intended that way, it came across as passive-aggressive rather than hospitable. Overall, the food was outstanding and absolutely lives up to Sunda's reputation. I'd happily return for the Wagyu Crispy Rice and everything else we tried. It was fixed, and we ended up paying our $50ish per person with the only adjustment being that we didn't pay for the edamame we never received. Obvious disconnect between the kitchen and service. But the food we did receive was exceptional. Drinks were novel and playful. But forgetting food and a weird service pace really diminished the overall elegance of Sunda. I feel like we drastically overpaid for the dining experience. We are on a family vacation, so instead of memories of a great meal we instead have a story of that messed up service and the weirdness that surrounded.

The service was horrendous and the attitude of the management was deplorable. People seated after us got their food served before us, and the wait for ordering and getting food was outrageous. They were terribly disorganized and insensitive to customers. Worst of all, dirty tables stacked with dirty dishes remained untouched for long periods of time, making the restaurant appear dirty and unsanitary. Great taste for a strip mall, no kids menu however there is plenty to choose from. We try to order as many different dishes as possible to pass around and find our favorites. Couldn't decide between the beef or chicken dishes as the flavors were all very addicting. Only complaint is the limited amount of protein per dish. read more

I went to college in Manhattan, very close to China Town. I have found the food at North Point Chopsticks to be very reminiscent of the flavors at my favorite restaurants in NYC. IMO, this is the most authentic chinese cuisine I've had here in the northern suburbs. read more

My family has been coming to this restaurant for years, which makes this experience not just disappointing, but very upsetting. We placed a pickup order totaling over $100. When I arrived, I was told our order had been given to another customer. Instead of immediately apologizing and remaking the food, the front desk employee spent several minutes trying to find the order, then called the customer who took it and asked him to come back with the food so it could be given to me. This is an obvious food safety issue. Once food leaves a restaurant, it should never be redistributed. When I calmly said I was not comfortable taking food that had already gone to someone else's home, the employee argued with me extensively, insisting it hadn't been touched. I had to repeatedly ask for the food to be remade. When the other customer returned, the employee made a pointed comment that the food would be thrown away "because we have to remake it," while looking directly at me. This felt accusatory, uncomfortable, and inappropriate, especially since the mistake was not mine. After waiting over 40 additional minutes, I was still charged the full amount. When I politely asked whether there would be any consideration for the delay, I was told, "No, we already lost money on you." Being spoken to that way after showing patience and understanding was shocking and deeply unprofessional. Unfortunately, the situation did not end there. When we later called, the same employee refused to provide a manager or owner's contact information, and refused to let us speak with a manager. We asked the employee for her name and she replied "What's YOUR name and what's your problem?" That comment alone reflects a serious lack of professionalism. We emailed management twice to address what happened and have received no response. Mistakes happen, but what is unacceptable is arguing with customers about food safety, making them feel blamed for expecting safe food, speaking to them disrespectfully, and then ignoring follow-up. Management should take this feedback seriously, because this experience reflects poorly on their business. We are very sad to no longer be customers of PNS after many years of enjoying their food.

The one drawback about these stalls in grocery store setting they always seem to be stingy about extra utensils, bowls or even napkins. They barely give you any napkins and they are usually extra thin too. I have to remember to bring my own napkins when dining at these locations.
