Strangely, I was offered delivery as soon as the next day for an additional fee. I contacted customer service through chat hoping to understand what happened. The representative was slow to respond, couldn't clearly explain why the pickup date changed, and after a lengthy conversation claimed the order had been updated and would be available for pickup that day. When I asked a follow-up question, the chat was abruptly closed. I then called the store. The first employee I spoke with was not particularly friendly or helpful. Before I could fully explain why I was calling, I was interrupted and spoken over, then placed on hold without any explanation. A second employee eventually took the call and confirmed the item was not actually in the store and that I would need to wait. When I began explaining my frustration with the experience and why the changing pickup date had impacted my plans, there was still no effort to explain what had happened or acknowledge the inconvenience. After I mentioned that I would rather cancel the order, it was canceled immediately without any attempt to address the issue or offer an alternative solution. What bothered me most wasn't the delay itself--things happen. It was the complete lack of communication, explanation, or concern from the three different people I spoke with. No one could tell me why the date changed, no one seemed interested in helping, and no one appeared to care that I had chosen Lowe's based on the promised pickup timeline. If the store manager or owner reads these reviews, my recommendation would be to focus less on the cancellation itself and more on how customers are treated when something goes wrong. Inventory and logistics issues happen. A little communication, empathy, and professionalism would have made this a completely different experience. Disappointing.

I didn't think anything of it but when the blood was dripping down my face I decided to go in the building and ask to use the restroom to clean my self up. When I was done and walking out Dianne stopped me by saying "young man what are you doing" when I explained what happened she said "no no no, come with me". She took me to the back room, cleaned and dressed my cut with a bunch of stuff from the first aid kit. I know this doesn't have much to do with the actual business, but if this how the employees treat a dirty, bearded and bloody tow truck driver I can only imagine what they do with real customers!!!! Their order accuracy is almost always correct, and when it has been off they promptly correct it. They have bailed me out many of times on my own mistakes by shipping or sending trucks with little to no notice. The salesman that I currently work with is Matt and he is great. Price quotes or order confirmations come back quickly. Not only do I find their customer service to be pleasant and quick, but their material quality is hands down the best. All my installers prefer it, and they offer a longer warranty than any other supplier I am aware of. Buying all American made products from them is a huge selling point for my business!

After calling around to chains, farm stores and lumber yards trying to locate a source for 3"-4"…read moreround wooden poles of 8' length and not finding any, I tried calling scalers who visit lumber companies. One (forget which one) thought they had seen such poles at Blasen & Blasen. I called and found that they did carry them. The best surprise was that when I went to pick up the poles, they were of a quality FAR exceeding my expectations - very uniform in diameter and having a very smooth surface finish. I was expecting peelers and these were real 'poles', ideal for my planned use as poles for equestrian jumps. Their staff was kind and helpful, and their product was exceptional compared to what I had seen when I visited a farm store. Please consider checking with Blasen & Blasen for your lumber needs. They are wholesale but I believe you'll find the quality worthwhile.
