Been coming here for a while and love the reusable glass containers. All the food and drinks are…read moreyummy and easy to grab and go! Unfortunately on Monday I had my only bad experience. I understand that people have bad days but the girl behind the counter had a horrible attitude. A customer was asking more information on what the creamer used in the drinks was. The server was extremely short with her and it ended up that another customer in line had to explain the creamer to her! She also just couldn't care less about the customers or any questions in general and was very short with everyone. I won't let that take away from this awesome spot though. I got the mango smoothy and lilis favorite that is matcha, lavender, and coconut and it was very good!

Mini Peanut Butter Cup n Fudge, 3.) Caramel Coconut Macademia Nut, and 4.) Mauna Kea's Secret. From the lot, the clear favorite was Mauna Kea's Secret, and it wasn't really close. Has ample free parking in a cute little mall. There are self checkout machines in Princeville but not in the Foodlands I know on Oahu. I took a pic below. The store is clean and well stocked. There once was another Foodland on Kauai. The Kapaa location was allowed to slowly deteriorate (sound familiar?) and the locals simply drove to the next light and shopped at Safeway. Not a possibility in Princeville. If you need a real supermarket the only alternative is that same Safeway in Kapaa. On the plus side...they have good poke. If you trust their refrigeration!

So I've been hearing about açaí bowls for a long time but never tried one. The last couple years…read morethe recommendations ramped up, specifically naming North Shore Bowls. I drive by it almost daily but because I thought it was just a giant fruit bowl never stopped. I didn't understand! Yesterday, my friend Lee who I trust with my life tells me, "I had the best veggie and bacon sandwich there. You gotta go!" Since my other friend was visiting from Tahiti he was telling her about the bowls. She says, "Now I'm craving açaí bowl!" Ok perfect, we go! We order two pulled pork sandwiches and one large Nene Goose with coconut flakes and honey drizzle. I was just going to have my sandwich but she's say, "I got two spoons, just try!" OMG, it was not at all what I thought it would be. It was insanely tasty. I ended up eating half of hers. The pulled pork was incredible too. Very filling and delicious. My sister's in town and I ask her if she's ever had one to which she said "no". So we pile in the car and again it was out of this world. My brother in law got the K-Town- stupid good too. They leave on Monday and We're already planning on going tomorrow morning for breakfast. Definitely won't get sick of them. Now, about the girls who work there- absolute honeys. So friendly, PATIENT and engaging. Super fun and satisfying outing. Go getcha some!
