Absolutely disgusting! I actually hated to give 1 star but there was no negative 100. Food was inedible, so ungodly greasy. See photos. Sandwich fell apart. Was in a fry boat ask for a knife they bring a butter knife. Ask for a Plate which was a small pizza tray. Never again! Gross. Had to unroll bathroom paper towels to use.

Guys.... Come on! I love the pop up bar theme you do, but honestly it kills your general dining. Like I can't even get an order of French fries with the $19/dozen wings I just ordered . (In the bar restaurant area) You guys have great food... stop shorting the general dining experience. PS. Service in the restaurant was great.

Tried out the brunch for the holiday pop up decor. If you are going for the ambiance of the traditional pop up, they've got one of the best with multiple photo ops and tons of space for the little ones to run around. The food for the brunch was not that great and while we were there, they never refilled anything when it ran out so we all got one plate. Being that their pizzas and regular food was so good, we expected the same for the brunch but it was basic.

My family had a very Christmasy evening among the decorations. Good times. Photo opportunities galore and we did take advantage

We stopped by for their Christmas pop-up bar, and wow, they go all out! There was a 40 minute wait for dinner, but they had another bar decorated for the holidays that we could have a drink in while we waited for our table. While they were out of some of the holiday beers there, they had some other festive drinks available. Every single area of the walls and ceiling are covered with ornaments and lights in the restaurant area! There was a very family-friendly vibe (at dinner time at least), which was great for us bringing our infant to dinner. The service was good, considering how busy they were, and we really enjoyed the Sicilian white pizza.

This restaurant/bar has a great atmosphere in the summer. Great food and drinks & the staff is always pleasant. I can't say the same for their pop-up bars that are hosted at their location but regular service is good! Pics from their Christmas pop up. Had a bad experience but their decor was cool!

Like a Mini Vacay @northstar_tikihut Imperial, PA ~ 30 mins from PGH Go on mini vacation just 30 minutes from the Burgh when you visit North Star Tiki Hut. This is such a fun, kitschy little spot with tons of outdoor seating, sand, faux palm trees, corn hole, & more! It's always a blast here I think their Detroit style pizza is the bomb. Light & fluffy & they don't skimp on the toppings. We went with the white pizza but added pepperoni for the best of both worlds. Ngl, the cocktails are not my favorite, they're just super sweet with artificial ingredients (hello neon red strawberry Marg) but...the price is right & I can always opt for a classic tequila & club soda or crown & Diet Coke rather than cocktails. The overall experience is more than worth it imo! P.S. they have amazing pop-up bars for the holidays here as well!

We stumbled upon North Star Restaurant while looking for a place to mini golf, and we are sure glad we did! Currently, restaurants in Allegheny County are only permitted to offer socially distant, outdoor dining. North Star has the PERFECT patio - beachy vibes with an outdoor bar and both covered and uncovered seating. We sat under the pavilion, and we were happy with our decision because it was quite hot! We decided to order a few smaller items from the menu to share. We went with a half Philly cheesesteak, a small traditional pizza, and French fries with cheese. The cheesesteak was enormous with toppings to the brim! It was my favorite part of the meal. The pizza was also good, but we didn't receive it until at least halfway through our meal (we ending up taking most of it home). My only complaint was the service. I understand that most restaurants are currently understaffed due to COVID, but our waitress spent most of her time chatting with two customers on the other side of the patio. She only visited our table a few times, and she was not there to refill our waters when necessary.

Simply said it's bar food, pizza is mediocre and my coke was watery. Save your money and try some place else.

Downey's House provided the local spot I needed. An ice cold Yuengling on draft went down very well, and while I didn't find pierogis on the menu, I settled for a phenomenal bowl of spaghetti & meatballs. Local marinara & meatballs made with the same recipe of the old Main Hotel that was in Carnegie for nearly 100 years. That bowl of pasta was SCRUMPTIOUS and just what I was after. I even talked my lovely wife into doing up her salad 'Pittsburgh style', which means adorning the salad with fries. And yes, it's as good as it sounds. Thrown in a protein like grilled chicken and that is a banger of a meal. Great dining area with a square-shaped bar and TVs with sight-lines in any direction. The service is friendly and helpful, and prices are probably lower than at some chain-y eatery that just makes your food via assembly line. It's local and sensational!

Later, when he asked about the manicotti & I said it was amazing, he asked if it was better than the soup. I said it was much much better and that I knew next time I visited I'd get the Caesar salad instead of the soup. He said he'd bring one to go, since their Caesar dressing is amazing. I said that wasn't necessary, but he brought one anyway. Wow. Portions are very large (without the extra salad, my manicotti would still be three meals for me) & the food is delicious. I like the look of the restaurant and was surprised to see that they had TV's & a bar. Much nicer than I expected given the location.

I explained that I was not from the area and where I was sitting and she barked "we don't really have a sign! Just park and walk around you'll find it."... when I try to explain to her that I'm in a walking cast could she just let me know which business she was closest to? She snapped back." we're only doing takeout today anyway." At that point, I figured if she was gonna be about as friendly as a rattlesnake then I was not going to give them my business. I have no clue what their food taste like, but their service is beyond awful.

Not sure why I expected anything different when we went there today. Today's experience: Our server took our order in a very reasonable timeframe, but we waited close to 50 minutes for our food to arrive. And this was on a weekday; they were busy but not packed. No one came by to provide any kind of explanation. When the food finally arrived, my fries were cold and we had to ask twice for refills on our beverages. We had to go to the bar to get utensils and napkins because the server never brought them. As we were leaving, a couple at another table had just gotten their food and had the same problem-- they needed utensils and napkins. This isn't the first time we've experienced very slow service at Patrick's Pub. I don't know what the issue is, but I'm sorry to say I probably won't ever go back to Patrick's for a meal.
