2 days ago I was in car accident. I called AAA for a tow. A tow truck from here showed up. I told driver to take it to my house 3 blocks away. It ended up at their shop. I went to shop to see what happened. They tried to have me sign over pink slip. I said no. I want car at my house so I can sell to junk yard. Now they want to charge me storage fee when I never wanted it towed to their shop. This business is full of crooks. Beware. I called AAA to complain and police report is next for theft of my car. It's still worth something even if total loss with insurance. read more

My husband and I went to our local Nissan dealer for a recall on the airbag and to diagnose the horn not working on our 2006 Nissan Titan which we were in the process of restoring. Nissan fixed the horn issue and charged us for a new new clock spring which in vehicle steering systems is a special rotary electrical conductor that allows a vehicle's steering wheel to turn while still making an electrical connection between the steering wheel airbag and/or the vehicle's horn and other devices and the vehicle's electrical systems. The dealer was were unable to get the airbag light to stay off though and told us we needed a new seat belt as the tensioner was bad. They also wanted several hundred dollars for the repairs. We gave it a hard pass and we're so glad we did! We brought our truck to Northridge Service on 4/9/25 for an oil change and a safety check and mentioned our experience with the airbag issues. Northridge Service went above and beyond and was able to diagnose the issue with the airbag. Much to our delight, Ryan at Northridge Service told us that they traced the airbag light malfunction and found 10 out of the 13 wires in the harness damaged and not connected. We gladly paid Northridge to fix this issue and another with the collision light on the cab needing to be replaced. They provided a full safety inspection as well. All in all, it was a very valuable service to the shop and we could not be happier with both the service and the amount paid. We'll never go to another shop for repairs for our old truck again! We were recommended by AAA to Northridge Auto after feeling like being taken by the dealership. Dave, Rafi & their team are fantastic. As far as mechanics go, they have been very fair and upfront about all repairs and what is necessary and what can wait and then let me decide what to be done. I regularly bring my vehicles to them to have repairs and regular maintenance. They truly earn my business every visit and I can't say enough how great they have been. They are not miracle workers... don't expect to have them turn your car back into like it was when new. Recently I have been having an issue that they had trouble isolating and resolving. So I decided to try to go back to the dealer, and they found the slew of issues and said it would be several grand and didn't give me many options. I told them I couldn't afford it at this time and paid for the diagnosis and oil & filter change and went over to Northridge with the diagnostics. The next day Dave called me and said that initially the bad sensor didn't show up but after tapping it hiccuped. After replacing the one sensor (out of 6 the dealer said that was needed to be replaced), the vehicle is running like it should. And I wasn't charged an outrageous cost to fix the issue. Amazing people. I got stuck on the road. It was raining. Their truck pull over and help get my car running again. Turn out, battery connection. The guy didn't charge me not even taking tips. He told me lets get going it is not safe to stuck on freeway especilly during rain. Found out he works for northrige auto service. I leave distant away, but constantly visit friend there. I was recommended by a friend of mine to go to this shop, for a problem I was having with my car. For the last week or so whenever I used my breaks, my car would make a loud noise. I was told to talk to the owner ( Dave ). Right off the bat, I was greeted very nicely. Dave had someone hoist up the car and look at it. The guy spend over an hour, the car was up and down, the wheels were taken off then put back on and it was test driven at least 3 times. Between Dave and the other macanic they were not going to give up on finding the problem. I so could have been ripped off. They could have told me it was a number of things and I would have believed them. Instead they were very honest, and it turned out to be a minor problem. I was shocked after all that work, they charged me such a low price. These guys are FANTASTIC!! I am now a customer for life. It's great to know there is still honest macanics out there. read more
