We were lied to by the financial officer about the cost of the extended warranty. When we told him we would not pay that much for the vehicle (a used vehicle), he supposedly juggled some numbers and gave us an amount that was satisfactory and we agreed to it. When we looked at the paperwork when we got home, HE HADN'T CHANGED ANYTHING! Also, the truck was not detailed AT All. It was not vacuumed or cleaned up whatsoever! We test drove the truck on Saturday and we picked it up the following Wednesday. Wow! And I don't know why the review says we are from California. We are from New Braunfels, TX! read more

I made an appointment to have an oil change done to my Silverado at Chevrolet on San Pedro. The appointment was at 9 a.m. I dropped off the truck and Randy and I went for breakfast. At 10 we had not heard from them so we mossie up there to wait. At 10:15 I asked the guy how much longer for the truck to be ready and he said its almost ready. At 11:00 my husband is already frustrated so he goes in to find out what is going on and the guy told him the Silverado was NEXT. Needless to say my husband got super upset. He requested they present the truck NOW. One time we are told its almost ready and next its Next. WTF Why bother making appointments. So my truck did not get the oil change, wasted 2 hours. I will never go there again or recommend this place. So now I have to go somewhere else. read more

I purchased my car here 8 years ago, and the hingepiece in the "flipper" style keys have broken more than once. Chevy does not sell this part, only the complete remote, and new remotes have to be programmed by the dealer, which takes about 2 hours, including cutting the keyblade as well. After another bad experience at a different Chevy dealer much closer to my home, I reached out here, mentioning the poor treatment elsewhere and asking for help to copy my remaining working key and setup a new remote. I called several times the week before my appointment, but when I showed up early Saturday, they had no record I'd made an appointment. I had been quoted on the phone $75 for the remote and $10 to cut the key blade, but they didn't quote labor, etc for the programming. When I showed up, they said it would be over $320 altogether for the remote, key cutting, and programming, and weren't very friendly about it, accusing me of having called/made an appointment somewhere else. They had free coffee/soda in the waiting area, at least, but something on their WiFi prevented connecting to my VPN service...not good. When I got the car back, the bill was $370...the earlier number had not included tax or a $35 "shop materials" fee. I asked about "out the door" price up front, but at checkout the agent practically accused me of lying about my original question. For having gotten up early to drive across town, waiting in line 30 minutes before they opened, only to be accused of lying and then being charged $370 for a new key/remote, I would not come back here. Absurd parts cost are Chevy's fault, not the dealer, but the process and extra fees to actually get a key replaced and poor customer service are indeed this service department's fault. read more

Took my 2024 chevy tahoe in for its 7500 mile maintenance. Made a appt for 1pm. Actually got it in at 12. At 215 went and asked about it and they haven't even started on it. I had to leave. This is a horrible dealership. It is dirty. The staff are unhelpful and treat potential customers. We went there to buy a car. The reception staff could barely be bothered to take our names, even though we had made an appointment. One of the staff was wearing her mask around her neck. The salesperson that finally came to show us the car didn't bother introducing himself, didn't ask our names. Said nothing on the test drive, didn't give us any information about the vehicle. After the test drive he spent five minutes telling us it would take between 2 & 8 months to deliver. This just doesn't seem right! Took my car to Northside Chevy. When I dropped it of the recorded mileage was 44816. The car sat for almost 24 hours before they looked at it and in less than an hour they gave me a diagnosis. I declined service. When I picked it up I noticed the gas's was very low. Then I looked at the mileage. 44872!!!! Then I looked at the mileage out that they recorded 44824!!! THATS 38 UNACCOUNTED FOR MILES NOT ON THEIR LOG.....did they drive it to lunch, take it hone for the night, drive it to a club???? Called them and they had no answers. Bought my new SUV here. Jacob Marshall was the best sales person ever. He went over every detail of the car and how it worked, which others at a different Chevy dealership did not do. He was not pushy at all. They have popcorn, soda, and hot cookies while you wait. Would recommend. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the SUV does not come with a cargo cover or cargo net (which I think is completely lame) and they didn't have one in stock. read more

Brought my 2017 Silverado in for some warranty service. They had my truck for 9 days. Timeline was based on authorization of payment from my warranty company. No issue with the work performed. When I came to pick up my truck the inside had been ransacked. Everything in the dash board was thrown on the front seat. Items from the center console were thrown on the floorboard. About $20 worth of loose change was missing. Items stored in the bin under the rear seat were thrown across the back floorboard. An iPod and a credit card were missing from the truck. The disposable dealer floor mat and other trash, including disposable masks were left on the drivers side floorboard. I made the service dept cashier aware. She came out and looked in the truck. She told me she would notify the manager. As I continued to go through the truck and discover missing items, I went back into the service dept and notified the manager. He explained that there had been some break ins at the dealership. He said there was nothing he could do and that he was not liable for my losses. He also stated that no one in the service dept was responsible. However, there were no signs of forced entry into my truck. I concluded that the truck was entered utilizing a key or it was negligently left unlocked. Either way, I do believe the dealer should accept responsibility for my losses. No type of restitution was offered. Only a denial of responsibility. I will not be returning to this dealership because I do not have any confidence that my truck will be protected while it is in their care. read more

Extremely rude salesman. After a test drive, I asked for the out- the-door price on a new vehicle and declined once I saw it with various ads-ons. I was not negotiating, I simply said "no, but thanks anyway." When I said no, the salesman immediately became pushy, accusatory, and threatening. He even yanked a piece of paper from my hands since "[I] wouldn't need this anymore." To top it off, he accused me of lying when I asked him why he yanked the paper out of my hands, saying my hand was only resting on the paper not HOLDING it so he couldn't have yanked it. That is when I asked to speak with his supervisor. The manager William was extremely cordial and apologized for his salesman's behavior. Nevertheless, I would not shop here if only for the salesman's immature and unprofessional behavior. Purchasing a car should be a pleasure. You should not feel THREATENED by a salesman and accused of lying for declining to purchase. What is with it with the Chevrolet Dealers? This is the second Chevrolet dealership that I have taken my Volt in to have the a/c serviced, only to be told it would be days before they could service the car. Before taking the Volt in, I spoke with a representative about an a/c diagnostic and servicing. The rep told me I could wait while the Volt was being serviced/diagnosed. I made my appointment and drove the 30 minutes (one way, incidentally). Since it would not be long, I decided to wait at the dealership. It was 10 minutes before someone even checked with me on the Volt. Then, after looking at my problem, I was told I had to leave the Volt for a couple of days for them to diagnose the problem. TWO DAYS on a promise it would be fixed if I waited. I told them to forget it. I drove another 30 minutes to my home. Still looking for a reputable Chevrolet Dealership to repair my Volt. Like other Chevrolet dealerships, this place too is lacking in customer service. Guess GM forgot to train them in good Customer Service. Also, they don't respond to the reviews so apparently they don't care about the feedback or try to make their customers happy. And, BTW, their restrooms are dirty. read more

I used northside auto group body shop recently and was so satisfied with how easy the whole process was. They worked through my insurance seamlessly, called me with updates, contacted the rental company for me for delivery and drop off, the repair looked great and they even did a great job washing it up afterwards. My husband and I ran into a thermostat issue before any dealership opened last week. We initially tried FREEDOM CHEVROLET, but were told by the service advisor it was at least a two day hold for any diagnostic test and a three day hold if it was something they had to go in and fix themselves. She came off a bit passive aggressive at 7am and was the least helpful employee we've ever had at this location from all the other times we've been. We then tried NORTHSIDE CHEVROLET and got helped by the senior service advisor, Jr. He was very transparent with the cost depending on our warranty status and the duration time for service if it was a confirmed thermostat issue. He guided us on how to get a hold of our warranty status since we were at a different dealership where the truck was bought. As soon as the diagnostics came back he explained everything to us and we were on our way while the truck got serviced. Although we didn't qualify for the 10mi Lyft, we still paid our own Lyft and got our truck back before the end of the day! We were initially hesitant on this location because of the reviews, but this experience made us want to come back to this location for everything. The location was very clean and the whole staff was kind and professional. During our time there we also didn't run into any other customers who seemed upset which was a nice observation! read more

I have only used them for service work on my company car as well as personal car. I promised myself I would never return after the last time I went (4 hrs for an oil change and I left the car although they never knew I left...was I asleep in the break room?? Who knows, they are not mindful of customers anyways) So hoping for the best I called today attempting to schedule a warranty recall repair on my vehicle. Look at the attached pictures. Sean Lefebrve the "finance manager" scammed my parents. He made them think they were purchasing a 2023 Silverado for 47K and added everything in the book, increasing the total to 80K. My parents have a language barrier and he 100% took advantage of that. My father put 8K down on top of his credit being 750+ and somehow the monthly payment was STILL $850. Sean made false promises to lower the monthly payment to at least $600 only to screw them over. This place is your typical dealership that'll screw you over if you have little experience or can't read/understand between the lines. When my parents returned after revising the contract, their GM avoided them for 2 days. After 4 days of uncertainty, they said it was my dads fault for expecting to buy a car with no interest which was never the issue, everything has interest, the issue was the 4 warranty's adding up to 20K+. My dad has had no other option but to purchase said vehicle outright because they said it was no longer their problem. The bank paid them therefore they no longer cared/"were able to" deal with it (According to Craig Minten). Lastly, Sean you claim to be a veteran but lack the most crucial trait. Integrity. After filling out an online trade-in form to get an appraisal on my current Chevrolet vehicle (a GM brand), I promptly received a call that the sales manager would like to take a look at my trade-in. After arriving and waiting for a salesperson (not the sales manager), he took a look at my trade-in, again a Chevrolet vehicle. He said he really liked how great shape it was in and that we could quickly hop inside for an appraisal. He took down some vehicle information and went to speak to his manager. Less then 45 seconds later, he returned and said they don't purchase GM lease vehicles. Again, this is a Chevrolet dealership, which is a GM brand. After asking for more information about why, he said, "I don't know. That's all my manager told me." I tried to push for more information because I was genuinely shocked they would not purchase THEIR OWN VEHICLES to which he said, "My manager just said they don't buy GM lease vehicles. Here's what happened... 1) I called the service department to see if they could program a spare key and fob. Yes, they could. The service rep said it would be $185, but said he could match the price of Freedom Chevrolet which had quoted $85. I assumed the service rep had authority to offer this. When I took my key in Alex, the service rep, who met me, said he couldn't do that, despite the commitment I'd received on the phone. 2) A few minute later, I went to the parts desk to pick up a blank key I'd ordered. No one was there. I went back to Alex. He tells me the parts guy got caught in traffic and is late. When the parts guy arrives, he greets me, apologizes for being late, and says, "It was just me, I can't blame it on traffic, there was nobody out there today."...doesn't sound like Alex was being completely honest with me. I left and went to Freedom. As a I guy who runs a business, I'm baffled by why people opt to take short cuts and incorporate little dishonesties into their customer interactions. So short sighted. Northside Chevrolet is the type of place you want to frequent if you want your estimated timeline doubled and 25% worth of work added to original estimate. They had my 2022 Chevrolet 2500 HD LTZ for six weeks. Three times longer than the original estimate two different cost adjustments and when I get my truck back, the quality of the workmanship was shit. You take your Chevy to a Chevy dealership expecting at least half ass quality work and northside can't get that right even after six weeks. They cut my bedliner out without replacing it, the paint has imperfections everywhere and trapped dirt and material in the paint of the fender. There's overspray all over my truck, overspray all over my truck bed the side monitoring system now needs service, which it did not need before it went into the shop, even post accident, but somehow left the shop after a diagnostic test ran by northside saying that it needs to be serviced. Mind you this truck was driven for two weeks post accident with absolutely zero issues because the damage was superficial and relegated to the doors and fenders not drive train or assembly. I'll have to go here again. But to be candid, I wasn't happy with my first visit. They treated me as if I was a frequent that they had already built an irrelevant relationship with. One of those "Hey, Bob are we getting a oil change this week?... ok go stand over there." However, you can't deny when you're being taken care of along with the work to your vehicle. The work was done expeditiously which is always a plus in my eyes. The price is similar to what I paid at other dealerships which lets me know they're not increasing prices to cheat you out your money. While I was in, they had an operational non-alcoholic bar/snack stand with drinks and small food (cookies and popcorn) to tide you over while your maintenance was being completed. During my service, a black female was at the counter who was constantly on her phone and ignored my son and I at times which really offended me but people have trash days.. but that doesn't give them an excuse. My first experience wasn't the best... but I will go again to see if I just came in on a low-performance day or if I need to fill up the tank to drive across town to get services done. This is our 2nd visit to this dealership (our 1st visit was a year ago). We decided to give this dealership another try hoping to go home in a brand new vehicle. We stopped by on Saturday, January 1st, during the afternoon hours. Jonathan Hamilton approached us and began showing us some vehicles. My partner and I found a vehicle that we loved and informed Hamilton, that we would like to discuss numbers on the vehicle. We all went inside and began discussing numbers and had our vehicle evaluated for trade in value. As we were going over the numbers, we seen on the paperwork we were going over that there was a "Protection Plan" listed. We inquired as to removing this item. We were told that it couldn't be removed. After some back and forth, Hamilton went and got his General Manager, a man names Marcus. Marcus was extremely arrogant and very full of himself. He didn't even have the professionalism or courtesy to remove the AirPods from his ears as he was speaking to us (mind you, we were sitting at a desk on the sales room floor). We went over the numbers again and we again brought up the "Protection Plan". Marcus seemed irritated by the question and stated that It couldn't be removed for anyone. He also stated that if the dealership was audited and it was found that they removed the plan for one customer and not all of the customers they could get in big trouble. I asked what exactly the plan covered and he stated that is was for "window tint, nitrogen in the tires, and covered scratches and a bummer on the doors so they didn't knick other door". When we stopped by years ago, we were told it was for the etching of the VIN on the windows. I asked where in writing was this plan written down and Marcus stated that it wasn't anywhere in black and white and it was his idea for this plan. I asked what the owner thought about this "plan" and he said "he knows, he goes with whatever I say." After some more back and forth, Marcus left and we were just with Mr. Hamilton. Since the protection plan wasn't going to be dropped, we decided to leave. Hamilton said he would go get our keys and we went outside to wait for him. He came back 2 or more times with "new deals." We were able to get to a price we agreed on and we called our back. Because it was a holiday we weren't able to get ahold of anyone. We made a deal with Hamilton to come back on Monday (1/3) to finish the paperwork. We left between 4:45-5:15 pm. Today (Monday 1/3/2022) we left our house early in the morning (we live a few hours away from the dealership) and headed back to San Antonio to meet with Hamilton. A few minutes after arriving, Hamilton came out to greet us and stated he was going to pull our new truck up to the front. My family and I went inside to wait for him. Once Hamilton got back, we began filling out paperwork. A few papers in, I asked Hamilton to go back to a previous form ( I had been tending to my baby while my partner was filling out forms), it was the "We Owe" form. I'm not 100% sure what the official name of that form is called, but it lists the items that dealership and or us owe to one another. I asked for clarification on what the form was for and Hamilton provided an answer. I then asked if we (my partner and I) could hold onto the form until we actually were able to inspect the vehicle. I then stated that we hadn't seen the vehicle since our visit a few days prior and we'd like time to inspect the vehicle. Hamilton said that it was fine and started going over another form. He stopped and then reached his hand out to get the form from me. I stated again that I'd like to hold on to that particular form until we had a chance to inspect the vehicle. Hamilton lowered his mask and stated "wait, what is it that's going on here?" We again stated that we would like to hold on to the form and he could proceed with the rest of the paperwork. He then started yelling at us (me in particular) that he was offended about what we were trying to say about him. I stated to him that we weren't trying to offend him and then we wanted to hold the paperwork until we were able to check the vehicle. He continued yelling and saying that the vehicle was being cleaned and we needed to give him the paper. I let him know that I would be holding on to the paperwork. At this time he stood up and was yelling that "this was uncalled for." We then told him that if he was going to act like that, we could buy a vehicle somewhere else. He yelled "well then just go on leave then." He stormed off and yelled that we needed to leave. "Leave, leave, leave." There were other customers at the dealership when this all happened. He went into a back room and slammed the door. The room was directly behind the receptionist's desk. You could see directly in to the room (windows weren't tinted) and he was waving his arms around and kept looking at us. There was a few men in that room when he was throwing his tantrum. Wednesday 12/28brought in my wife's 2008 GMC Envoy due to remote problem. we were locked out our vehicle and had to call a service. took the vehicle to Northside Chevrolet and spoke service consultant Samuel Cervante. he acted as if I was a bother wanting to keep my vehicle for one to two days for something that seemed obvious. I then took my vehicle home. the next morning we took vehicle to a locksmith and he his staff had both remotes programmed and the door lock fixed in a little over an hour. as a Veteran and long time customer of Northside Chevy I won't be taking either vehicle to them as my other car wasn't serviced on in one day and I had to return it for repair. I know these dealerships want to make that money but the customer should be first not the egregious profits made by keeping someone's vehicle longer than necessary is just unsat. read more

They also said it would be a day and a half to do what can be seen in 5 minutes. Also they tried to sell my wife a service that isn't even due yet. Just recently bought a 2024 Chevy 2500 HD. Process seemed to be going smoothly. However upon leaving, we only got one set of keys for the vehicle. Shady service Dept- I went in for an oil change and a service rep came to me in the waiting area to inform me of all the extra work I needed done to my vehicle and he brought out 2 of the blackest filters I have ever seen to tell me that I needed to: Replace cabin air filter Replace engine air filter Replace brakes ~$800 I declined it all and it was especially odd since my brakes were new 5 months ago. I had my records printed at checkout and the report showed that my brake pads were at 100% and I had recently had them serviced. I checked the cabin air filter when I got home to see a mostly white filter. Either they replace it for free or they are crooks. I'm going with the latter. read more

First of all their prices are too high and they recommend services that aren't needed. When we declined an unnecessary service they performed it anyway and then had the nerve to charge us for it like we wouldn't notice. While they did remove the charge when disputed, who knows how many people have paid for services they didn't need or want. On top of all that nonsense, they did not tighten the oil filter cap and as a result the truck leaked oil and could've potentially had very serious issues.
