Northside Kitchen is one of our families favorite breakfast spots we stop at whenever we are in the area! They always have fresh baked goods, and we never have a dish we don't like. The kids always love this spot, we always get seated quickly and the service is always on point. The vibe you get when you walk in is warm and cozy. It's a place you want to be on a cold morning when the snow is falling or the leaves are just starting to change. Perfect family spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Right next to a gas station, this place serves breakfast, donuts, as well as lunch and dinner. It has an extensive wine list and I believe you can buy bottles of wine there too. The place had a Dennys feel to it but more upscale and with better food! it is located right next to a gas station right off of an I-70 exit in the Vail Valley. Portions are generous so be warned!! According to our waitress, who was very friendly and knowledgeable, the first plate they ever offered and one of their best sellers is the French toast. So I went ahead and ordered the s'mores French toast with a side of scrambled eggs and bacon. The bacon was super salty which was perfect because the scrambled eggs had no salt so when combined it was delicious! Eggs where fluffy and not running. The pancakes where delicious with chocolate syrup drizzled all over them and mini marshmallows too. I bought three donuts which were on the bigger size. Think double what a Dunkin' donut is. The three where delicious: glazed; walnuts and crunchy glazed (I don't remember the actual name). This place is a must. read more

This place never fails to impress. I'd honestly have never stopped in a couple years ago if it had not been for a nightmarish travel experience that got us to Beaver Creek six hours late. We take the interstate exit, I'm hungry, I'm tired, and I see the sign for Northside Kitchen. I think to myself, let's just stop and eat rather than deal with hotel, valet, unload car, get to room, get changed, go to dinner, and eat two hours from now. Well, what a surprise I had; the place is an actual high end restaurant with a wide variety of delicious food and well made cocktails. I've been returning once or twice per trip since then. Most recent experience our server was Christine and she is awesome. So, first step, book online. It requires a deposit that's charged if you no-show. That is a good thing even though some whine about it. It ensures people show up and most likely on time, so you aren't there waiting for a table that sits unused. When you get there, easy check in and seating every time in my experience. Service has been consistently great. The menu is not five of the same thing prepared in different ways, they offer a very wide variety of excellent choices and I've been pleased with all of them. I particularly like the Bison & Ox bolognese; it's hard to try new things with as good as that dish is. Side note; you can get a croissant crossed with a doughnut at their faster food business next door in the same building, it's called a cronut, they're delicious. If you're visiting with children, they may even take the kids behind the counter for a tour and freebie. read more

Our family had a gringo burrito, short rib skillet and a smothered burrito. This family friendly restaurant had great staff, food and a huge wine selection we will have to stop back to check out. The portions were large, filling, full of flavor and reasonably priced. In addition to the great sit down option, they had incredible donuts that you could take to go. What a great place! Limited menu but fantastic food. Stopped in towards the end of our travels in Colorado and on our way to Moab to get a nice, hot breakfast. I ordered the avocado toast with 2 over easy eggs. An entire avocado fanned out over sourdough toast and topped with pico de gallo and two perfectly cooked eggs made this a real winner for me. My husband had the eggs benedict and he said they were fantastic, especially the lemon-chive hollandaise sauce. He also ordered a side of bacon and I don't know what kind of bacon they use but it is really good and flavorful. We also ordered a loaf of sliced loaf of bread to go and we munched on that during our trip - so good! It happened to be my birthday when we stopped at Northside and I was surprised with a plate containing cocoa dusted whipped cream, a festive donut and a chocolate drizzled croissant - with a lit birthday candle in it! They have a huge wine selection as well - just wish I'd had time to peruse all the bottles in the room!!! read more

We came here in a group of 8 for a birthday celebration dinner and had a wonderful dining experience! Just as we came into the restaurant, we were given a box of donuts for the birthday treat before we were sat at our table, how sweet! The restaurant is spacious with good distance between tables, and our server was very attentive and friendly. I didn't note down all the food we ordered but I remembered what was delicious! This is a unique place to know about. In the morning they are busy serving up breakfast and local baked donuts. The crown jewel of the restaurant is the evening transformation into an upscale dining experience. The menu is a departure from the breakfast and lunch to finer dining on steaks, seafood and other well thought of dishes. My favorite dish is the 11oz Filet. They claim it is the best steak you will ever have. Not sure it filled that promise but it may have been the best Filet I have had at a restaurant. We will return next July on our summer vacation again read more

Not a bad place, but not what I expected given the praise and descriptions by a few locals. If I was to describe the experience to a friend, I would tell them to take the food and service of a not-great Denny's, the noise level of a Cracker Barrel on Sunday, then add a full bar and some donuts. Prices are, of course, on par with other places in the area, so nothing especially redeeming there. For a little more detail, we rode bikes over in the late morning and were seated quickly. The place wasn't very busy and our pleasant server brought a large cup of coffee quickly. All was looking up until I took a sip of the coffee -- it was unexpectedly not even as good as the drip coffee in my hotel room. From there, it was slightly scorched eggs, very dry "OG French Toast" (that required a separate request for the syrup), and a breakfast burrito that didn't include the hash browns that were supposed to be inside. Our last hope was a couple of donuts, and those were just about right for a "day-old" sale. read more

Loved, loved, loved this place. The choices for dinner are fantastic. The food is delicious. It is definitely on the pricey side, but I don't mind paying for very good food. Best of all, we decided to go back for happy hour. Glad we did. The short ribs taco's are out of this world, for $5 each. The mac and cheese with short rib (for an extra couple of bucks) was enough for an entire dinner portion. And the French Dip was out of this world delicious. Steve, the owner, is a character. Wow! We celebrated our anniversary here and boy did we have a great time. I am pregnant and the bar tender made me a yummy mocktail! Our waitress Shannon was extremely well versed in the menu and had plenty of suggestions. Her positivity made the experience even better! Both meals were perfectly cooked. Great customer service! As soon as you walk in, the employees were so friendly. First, we had the manhattan and a mule with filet mignon eggrolls. The drinks were okay, but the egg rolls were AMAZING. They were filled with filet mignon, corn, black beans, and cheese. It came with two sauces: a thai chili and a sriracha mayo sauce. Then we ordered the gnocchi with pesto and short ribs. The pesto, tomatoes, sauce with the gnocchi was a perfect combination. The only downside was that the plate came a little cold when served, but the taste was great. Lastly, we ordered the donut bread pudding and it was so different from any bread pudding I've ever had. It tastes a lot like the different donut crumbles. It was PERFECT for donut lovers. read more
