Do not go there for service! I repeat DO NOT! I was lied to. I went in for a seperate issue. The service guy asked me if I wanted a tire rotation. Not needing one. I rotate them every oil change religiously. So, I asked if it was free. I was told yes. I said sure go ahead. When I went to pick it up. I was charged $138.00 for a tire rotation. When I argued about it they denied telling me it was free. Why would I pay for something I was getting done in a another month anyway? There was a customer next to me when I dropped my truck off that morning. He was saying the same thing. they gave him a price. When he picked it up. He was upcharged big . I will no longer be using Northtown Toyota for service, nor will I recommend them to anyone. My family has been a loyal service customer for years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. We brought our RAV4 Prime in for its 70,000-mile service, including inspection of the hybrid motor cable corrosion service campaign. We were told the cable showed corrosion but hadn't yet triggered the required fault code. Since the parts were backordered for weeks or months, we chose to leave the vehicle because we were told a failure could leave us stranded. About a week later, we considered trading the vehicle for a new RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid due to the indefinite wait. During the appraisal, the salesperson told us the open campaign reduced our trade-in value. That made no sense since it was a manufacturer issue, not owner damage. Their offer was roughly $5,000 lower than every other dealership we later visited, so we took the vehicle back. Interestingly, about a week after mentioning we were shopping elsewhere, Northtown suddenly had the previously unavailable parts. Coincidence or not, I'll let others decide. I happened to be getting another appraisal when Northtown called saying the parts had arrived. I drove directly there and was told the repair would likely be completed that evening. Around 8 PM I was told it would instead be finished the next day. The next day I heard nothing until I called. Then it became Friday because a "master technician" had to perform the repair. Friday became Saturday. Saturday came with no communication. Monday I was again told it would be done that afternoon, then later that evening I was informed it still wasn't finished but was "next on the lift." What should have been a one-day repair turned into more than a week with almost no proactive communication. Every update required me to call, my text messages requesting updates went unanswered, and every delay came with the same explanation instead of an honest timeline. Throughout all of this, Northtown claimed they had no rental vehicles available, leaving us to arrange transportation at our own expense. When I finally picked up the vehicle on Tuesday, the experience somehow became even worse. There was a large chunk missing from the steering wheel. Before leaving the dealership parking lot, I photographed the damage and texted the service advisor, who acknowledged it and said management would be notified. After weeks of following up, the service manager finally called only to argue that I had no "before" photo of my steering wheel. Customers should not have to photograph every inch of their vehicle before dropping it off for service. The expectation is that it will be returned in the same condition. The manager also claimed no one had entered the vehicle because the repair was underneath the car. That was simply untrue. The rear seat had clearly been disturbed, the child seat had been moved, and items inside the vehicle had been shifted. This repair requires access under the rear seat. Northtown also failed to complete its own vehicle inspection video, eliminating documentation that could have resolved the dispute. Eventually, the manager said he would speak with his vinyl repair specialist. Despite several follow-up attempts and repeated assurances that they would "take care of it," I have been completely ghosted. The steering wheel remains damaged. Over the course of a month, I had my own vehicle for only a few days. Northtown had it the rest of the time. I dealt with poor communication, constantly changing timelines, no rental assistance, ignored update requests, and ultimately received my vehicle back damaged with no meaningful resolution. After years of being a loyal customer, this experience has completely destroyed my confidence in Northtown Toyota. I cannot recommend them, and I strongly encourage you to select another dealership. read more

I was repeatedly given incorrect information, which made an already stressful situation even more complicated. I paid for shipping 10 days before ever receiving the car, yet throughout that time I was constantly given different pickup and delivery dates that never actually happened. Because of the misinformation, I ended up taking time off work multiple times for no reason, expecting the car to arrive when I was told it would. There was little to no communication, no tracking updates, and no sense of urgency from the dealership regarding the situation. What made the experience even more frustrating was that I eventually had to contact the shipping company myself and speak directly with a manager just to get a carrier assigned and have the car shipped within the timeframe I needed. That should have been handled by the dealership, especially after already paying for shipping well in advance. On top of that, the customer service was extremely disappointing. I remained patient and cooperative throughout the process because I genuinely wanted the car, but I never felt like I was being taken seriously as a customer. There was constant pressure to sign paperwork before the end of the month, which clearly felt more beneficial to the dealership than to me. I was also told the car would not be held for more than a week unless I signed immediately, creating unnecessary pressure to rush into a major purchase. I finally had an appointment for ToyotaCare which includes many free maintenance services. I rescheduled the appointment no less than three times including five minutes after I was supposed to show. Its super easy to schedule and adjust your appointment. Dropped my car off. The free Uber from and back to the dealership is an amazing touch. I hate waiting for the shuttle or having to bum a ride back to the southtowns. I was a little disappointed I had to call to see if my van was ready at 4:15 when I dropped her off at 9. The service department is a joke. I took my brand new $60k SUV there for repair because it broke down 4 days after the purchase. I was told that apparently my brakes had a factory defect and they probably forgot to tighten the bolt at the factory. I was told it should be ready tonight or tomorrow so 3 days later when it was finally fixed I go to pick it up and I can't even drive it off the lot because brakes still aren't fixed and still making same metal grinding noice. We walked into Northtown having high hopes in partially buying a car for my sister. We sat down with Devin, he listened to my sister's needs at first but flipped a switch; tried to sell her a car she didn't want; kept pushing cars she wasn't interested in. She was looking for a certain Camry, and he stated unfortunately they aren't selling particular types of Camrys because of an airbag recall, so we said okay. What about test-driving a new Camry? He stated that was unorthodox and said most people come to the dealership to buy not browse around and test drive, WTF? I don't know what universe he was on, but you're supposed to test drive cars first before buying to get a feel of what you want. While other dealerships in the surrounding areas, a few months ago allowed my sister to test drive the newest and latest cars, they didn't have an issue; It honestly felt like he didn't even want to be there on a Saturday; he wasted our time. The funny thing is, he didn't know that my sister walked in with a check in her pocket ready to put a down payment on a car, but we all walked out because his attitude was very rude and unorthodox; We took our business elsewhere and had a better experience. If Devin wants to make a sale, drop the attitude and stop looking at stocks while sitting/talking with buyers. This is a review for the SERVICE department. I've been coming here for the Toyota care but after the past few visits I'm ready to go back to my mechanic. Last 2 visits haven't included a car wash or coupon for it at Delta Sonic when I've always gotten one in the past at other dealerships. They have forgotten to reset the "call dealership" setting on the car both times and put the new sticker up so I've had to clear that warning every time I've started the car for several months, while wondering what other steps were skipped. The waiting area is noisy with both a blasting TV and radio. There is a coffee/cocoa/tea station but it's been unusable the past 2 times - last time was out of cocoa and cups and today the hot water was broken and only cold was available from the machine. It's not well kept. Plus side - it's really easy to schedule an appointment and they're up front on costs but their lack of attention to detail in completing tasks and making the area customer friendly is enough to make me want to go elsewhere. read more

We went in for a test drive of a Venza after speaking with Matt. He made us feel comfortable to go back in. When we got there we spoke with Matt who again was apologetic and extremely professional. He also was genuine and personable. We got a new sales person, Adam. Adam was amazing. He was knowledgeable and a lot of fun to work with. The experience was night and day from the first experience. Adam knew about the car, was completely honest and most importantly was engaged with us. I would completely recommend people go and see Adam. I still say be wary if you end up with Mark. This is an updated rating. I went today for an oil change and my 25,000 mile service. My appointment was at 11am, and I arrived at approximately 10:55am. The service advisor asked if I had an appointment, and I said yes. I waited a few moments and another individual came to ask a few questions about my appointment. This person told me it would take until about 4pm for my car to be ready. This was insane for an oil change and the 25,000 mile service. After waiting forever, the car was ready around 2:50pm. The final bill came to over $600, and they hassled me when I asked to use a $5 coupon that I received in the mail. Very rude and unprofessional. I will never bring my car here again. Maybe it is just this specific Northtown dealership, but it always seems like I'm being overcharged. The service aspect is never there. It's always about money to them. HELP! HELP!! HELP!!! We are going on 8 months. We only have one key to operate the brand new car we paid over $40,000.00 for, and over MSRP. We were told at time of purchase that Northtown thinks our vehicle has the second FOB. We sign the paperwork, 'Ooops sorry, only one FOB. The GM told me it should be here in a month or two.' When we give our key to any parking attendant, we can only pray they don't lose it. I asked for a solution, the first response was to call Toyota myself. Now I am told not to call Toyota myself, Northtown will handle it, but 'I can tell you Toyota is aware but having a fix is way off. Bottom line.... Don't lose your key.' Was told it would be delivered next day and was given quotes of 640 dollars 2nd quote was 1148 dollars. Part did not arrive next day. When it finally arrived made appointment for September 2nd. When we arrived she was told the cost would be $1548.34 plus tax for a total of $1683.82. When questioned their response was " yes we have employees by those names but the quotes were incorrect. I recently leased my fourth Toyota 4Runner from Northtown Toyota. When I took it home and washed the vehicle I noticed on the bottom of the rear quarter panel (underneath) some paint was missing. When I took it back to Northtown Toyota they looked at it and said it wasn't noticeable because it was underneath the vehicle. They said to do nothing and ignore it. I asked if they could repair where the paint was missing. They said they didn't have that color. Then they said I would have to purchase the touch up paint for $12.00. I said I want to speak with the General Manager and they said they would order the paint but I would have to touch it up myself. At no time did they offer to repair the missing paint from there collision shop. I am in disbelief what there solution to my problem was. They want to sell you the vehicle. After that they don't want to take care of any issues you have. At this point I would not recommend nor will I in the future purchase a vehicle from Northtown Toyota. read more

It was a very pleasant experience buying from Northtown Toyota. I don't like to haggle, so I brought them a competitive quote, and they matched no problem. Service has also been great. They have a great waiting area with delicious coffee, and always have Bagel Jay's available! The complimentary shuttle service runs very regularly, dropping me off, and picking me up form work without hassle. I would have given 5 stars, but I had one small miscommunicaiton with them. I scheduled service to have a taillight replaced, but the part was not ordered. Apparently tehre are some real communicaiton issues between the people setting up your appaintment, and the people ordering parts to put onto your vehicle. I'm about to move out of the city and need a car ASAP and am now having to resort to taking the train to move with all my luggage. I called several times and have been told to just keep waiting. I understand there are issues with car shipments with Covid, but if the car wasn't gonna be available for months I would've preferred they tell me so I could've gotten a different car. When I tried to take it back for service they wouldn't even look at it unless I paid $200 for a diagnostic fee and that I did not have a warranty which I thought I did but when I came home to find it in my paperwork realized I had signed for a warranty on the date I purchased the car from them for the car I traded in to them. I also urgently need my car as I am a new law student and have to get to school. I've always worked in the customer service industry so I know how it is, things happen. Although, even outside of my experience in that industry I'm aware that you encounter rude customer service employees, so it doesn't bother me. But never in my life have I ever been treated so unprofessionally and been so disrespected to the amount I have by the Northtown Toyota Service Department. One day I was told someone named Jason would call me back in 5 min, the lady, whose name Is hopefully actually Tina, hung up on me mid sentence. To my surprise I did get a call back in the time frame of about 15 min, but missed the call by about 30 seconds. So I called back immediately and talked to a girl who told me she would get Jason, about 5 min later on hold, the phone hung up. So I called back and learned I was number 7 in the queue. I didn't even know they had such a thing so I hung up and called back and was immediately spot 2. (5 spots in the queue in 30 seconds?) 10 min later the same girl answered and says that she would get Jason. Now I was put on hold for almost 20 min. A man finally answered and said how can I help you even though he knew exactly who I was, because I asked if it was Jason, in which he proceeded to laugh and say there isn't a Jason, "I'm David, this is Zach right?" And then began to laugh. Mind you, no so sorry for the wait, just that. I was so upset for being treated the way I was I had to Uber there for $25 so I could take my car to Northtown Hyundai which, after a quick phone call, said they would have my tire fixed by the end of the day, even though they were booked for a week, hence I was at Toyota. Northtown Hyundai worked it out because they heard about my experience at Toyota. Ive wasted 4 hours of my day as a new law student, where I should have been doing work, for nothin. I am now very much behind.
