I changed oil on my 2014 Hyundai Equus on 6/15/2017. It was my 2nd visit to this place after 3 years of complimentary service by Hyundai. My family get oil change service here on 3 other cars for several years. Owner recommended synthetic oil. After service I was presented with $91.12 invoice. After paying the bill, I called local Hyundai dealership. Oil change for my Equus was $45 with synthetic oil. I understand convenience of getting in and out quick. You pay for convenience but not 2 times cost of dealership service, and this was not an emergency situation. I went back to the place and talked to the owner. His response was real short and simple: Go to the dealer. I am not saying anything about work quality. Oil change is pretty standard. Service makes the difference. My point is that gouging a customer is not a good business practice. I definitely will not be coming back here and so will 3 other cars in my family. read more

Been coming here for a few years for Oil Changes and a few minor repairs. Always had a good experience with no pressure for additional repairs if I couldn't afford them. I read about Norwalk Lube on Yelp and it seemed like everyone only had good things to say. I decided to give them a try, especially since they are located only 4 minutes away from my friends house. I have to agree with the other reviewers. The two men who work there were polite and respectful. And even though there were at least 3-4 vehicles in front of me, I only had to wait around 25 minutes. I usually have to wait at least a few hours. They let me know that in addition to an oil change I needed to have my transmission fluid replaced, and my air and cabin filters replaced. When I declined the air and cabin filters I was not pressured to do anything more than what I wanted to do. I appreciate that. I will definitely come back in the future. read more

After reading the reviews on yelp, I decided to take my car in for an oil change. I was very impressed. Fast service, the technician pointed out some things that needed attention but did not try to pressure me into doing the work. He was friendly and did the work fast. the price for the oil change was reasonable. I will definitely come back to service my other vehicles. They were able to give my car an oil change without an appointment and I only waited about 20 minutes and they were done! They didn't try to up sell, but let me know that the transmission fluid needs changing. The total was around $26. Small waiting room with chairs and magazines. Friendly but kept the chat minimum. This shop really stood out yesterday I have been coming here for years. One of the employees who drove my car pocketed my GReat Grandmothers ring 24 k cluster diamonds a value of 8000 it was on my side panel ready to be sent to my mother. When I got in the car on my way to FedEx to send it off it wasn't there I then called numously times with no avail this morning I left a voice message. Hoping to resolve this by viewing the cameras. Found my new oil-change guy! Moved to Norwalk in January and been looking ever since. Thanks to other yelpers for posting their reviews, they were very helpful. Walked in without an appointment and only had to wait 5-7 minutes before they got to my car. The whole process only took about 20 minutes, and they even drove my car out to the front from the work bay. They advised me I needed to change my air filter too. Costs less than $30 for my Toyota Camry and they were very nice and courteous. read more

The owner is a scam artist! He filled my oil over the limit by almost 2 qts?!?!? The second I picked up my car the check engine light was on after an oil change. My check engine light has never been visible on my dash but after a simple oil change it was on. I explained this to the mechanic and he went under the hood to reset the computer in my car. This turned the check engine light off but it also erased any evidence that he had overfilled my oil. After driving my car for about a week the entire vehicle stopped running. When I towed it to the dealership the mechanic there told me that the oil had been overfilled and spilled all over the place. $800 later for replacement parts this scum bag at Norwalk Lube will not even give me my money back for the terrible oil change that ruined my car. DO NOT DO any auto work here unless you want you car to break down a week later. Thanks Norwalk Lube I will never take my car anywhere but the dealership ever again. read more

Quick cheap and honest 10/10 would recommend. They know what they're doing and I'm never worried that they'll use old oil on my car.

They have awesome service and their workers are very nice. Got myself an oil change and they did it quick with a reasonable price. Like most concerns about mechanics, we don't want to hear that something else has to be fix when it doesn't, but rest assured they're honest folks. Greatest oil change experience hands down. Was first in line on a Saturday morning, greeted with a smile, and they got to work right away. I took my car to get the oil change done. The first thing he did wrong was put the wrong type of oil, then he tried charging me for a replacement even though it was his mistake. Then he refused to give me a receipt for the service that I paid for. Then he wanted a reason why I needed a receipt and STILL hesitated to give me one. Finally at the end I drove off and heard a clunking noise. I pulled over and noticed that my oil cap was not on properly. They gave the best prices in town and if you get there early enough the wait is never long! Most oil changes 20-30 on an off day maybe 45-1hr. This has been my oil change place since 2000, I come here off and on when I am to lazy to change my own oil. Never any issues and they are pretty quick. Prices are comparable to others and they are next to a liquor store, you can knock out two things in 1 trip. read more

Came in for an oil change and they told me i was completely out of power steering fluid because of a leak and my transmission fluid was super dirty. They highly recommended i get those things fixed asap because they said my car (2004 optima) might break down at any moment. I was skeptical they were just trying to make money off of me but decided to get it fixed because I knew my power steering was off and am currently in a position where i really can't afford to not have a car. They told me they would be able to fix everything for around $400 which was a bit much but i decided to just play it safe and told them ill get it fixed in the morning. I came back the next morning and they told me it'll be ready by 3. I come back at 3 and not only did they completely clean my engine but they also installed additional new parts to further repair my car for free, they gave me free transmission fluid, and fixed my AC! A previous mechanic i went to told me it would cost me $550 to fix the AC but the guys at Norwalk Lube fixed it for completely free and didn't even mention it AND they fixed my power steering for $316. They gave me a discount because they saw how i was a college student from Biola University (my keychain). They are fantastic guys that really seemed to work as a team and all seemed to have extensive knowledge of cars. I never received such amazing service from any body shop before and will be coming back here for all my car needs. I highly, highly recommend these guys! Trustworthy, reliable, and effective.
