This is a small intimate shop. The food is great. Lots of choices and they can help if you want some religious advice or instruction. I was so surprised during the holidays when they taught and dovened with one of the patrons. Cool place even if you don't have a Jewish or religious background. Kosher means that it meets and beats normal USDA standards, so you know that the kitchen is clean, the food is safe and the staff is devoted to their craft. read more

It was a let down. I was transiting through Orange County and I decided to give this place a try. I had previously been to their market years before. All reviews on Yelp so far pointed to expect a good experience. But it was the opposite. My pita sandwich was missing the Hummus and Tahini. Later They brought me a side of tahini when I was almost done eating it (little too late) and I was told that they were in the process of making hummus. Really? You bring me a sandwich that is missing toppings as part of it and tell me they don't have it ready yet? No wonder it tasted weird. They gave my spouse an incorrect order. The order for a takeout. We had to ask 3 or 4 times for our cups of water. And unfortunately the few tables available were dirty. 5 people working there no one table clean. BUT WE WERE THE ONLY CUSTOMERS INSIDE THE STORE. How hard is it to mess up your order for your single customer inside and also give excuses that they are still the process of making things and bring you your order incomplete and incorrect? And there's a reason people don't like to tip anymore: the service is not good. I was upset that I had given a generous tip to get poor service. I know kosher places in Southern California are difficult to find. GOOD kosher places even harder. I don't think I will stop by this restaurant again. We came in as our first time trying a Kosher Restaurant. If you're expecting authentic Israeli food, you're not going to get that. However it is very tasty. The restaurant's aesthetic is modern and felt very airy as there is plenty of seatings. The restaurant was very clean. A little unorganized with the condiment table but clean overall. We loved how Spanish music was being played in the over head as we love Spanish music. We love the convenience of a market next door!! Parking is not a struggle at all here as there is a large parking area. We came all the way from San Diego to take my mother in law to buy her kosher meat at the market. I recommend if you're in the area and looking for. Kosher restaurant to definitely give it a try. There is a huge menu selection. We were in OC, needed kosher food and found this place. We ordered this rib eye steak (that came out smelling and very chewy) and 2 other meals. The person there, seeing we are 4 people, still decided to only give us one set of disposable utensils! And when we asked for more, he gave us a bad look! Then when I asked him for my money back because the meat was very bad and I didn't want to wait there for too long again, he rudely replied "half a plate is gone"! we had only tried 2 small pieces and spitted those out (obv not in the picture) I decided to get the food to go so at least I could put this post! The food is very expensive for what you get and it is not good at all. The beef kabobs were too tough to even chew and clearly the meet had been frozen for way too long. It had a a strange smell. Hope I don't get sick. My whole meal went into the trash even the meat prices that could not be chewed. Bathroom did not have any soap to wash my hands after going to the bathroom and there was no sanitizer in the dispenser. $32 for crap. This place give kosher a bad name. read more

I went searching for kosher food in OC and stumbled upon this place. I ordered the shawarma pita and a can of coke, even though it was quite pricey, but I didn't mind because I love shawarma. However, when I received my order, I was disappointed to find that it only included the shawarma pita without any sides like fries, tahini sauce, or pickles. Even worse, the shawarma itself was of poor quality, with a gross taste and poorly made with vegetables. I don't think I'll ever return to that place again. The corned beef was not very tender, and seemed reheated in microwave. It could have had more meat for $15. My wife and I had a lunch here and ordered the beef pastrami sandwich and the morocco cigars. The morocco cigars which had a vegetarian filling were crispy and excellent. The sweet chili dipping sauce was also excellent. The beef pastrami sandwich was served on toasted bread (not rye on the day we were there) with sliced pickles in the sandwich and packets of mustard on the side. It was a great sandwich and very tasty. The reason for the 4 star rating (vs. 5 star rating) is that the morocco cigars appetizers' were 4 pretty small pieces for $9.95. It was expensive for what is was. Small packets of mustard served with the pastrami wasn't the same as a bottle of mustard, which is what good delis provide. Take my review with a grain of salt because I came in right before closing time on a National holiday. I'd been craving a turkey sandwich all day and finally decided to do something about at about 5:00pm. I did not think this place would be open, but wanted to drop by and see if I could check it out through the windows since it recently opened. It's owned by the same people who run the OC Kosher Market and this is more of a sit down cafe. I was pleasantly surprised to see people sitting on the patio with what looked like really good food. I saw the sign on the door and noticed that they would be open until 6:30 so I headed inside. There was another couple waiting to order and when someone popped out to take their order, he informed us they would actually be closing earlier today around 5:30. I get it, they were probably slow all day or ran out of items and decided to close early and now people are rushing in last minute. The people in front were pissed because they called ahead and were told they would close at 6:30. Despite that little hiccup, the service was pretty good. The gentleman who took my order answered all my questions about the menu and was very patient with everyone. I ended up getting a turkey sandwich on rye which was a very decent size and it came with pickle spears (more than one -thank you from a pickle lover) and a side of Israeli Salad. I had to ask what this was because you get a choice of cole slaw, potato salad or Israeli Salad. Israeli Salad, as it turns out, is a tomato and cucumber salad with white onion and bell pepper. It's all diced very small and looks almost like pico de gallo. I was worried it would be swimming in the oil based dressing but it was perfect. I would order it again. One thing I want to note is that it's very cute inside but the place wasn't super clean. The bathroom had no toilet paper and their mirrors were full of finger and hand prints. Does that mean the kitchen is dirty? Probably not, but I feel like they probably had time to clean this well before they announced an early closing time. read more

Because there isn't a lot of kosher delis in the bay I always search out the kosher spots when I come to so cal. This place made me a fat pastrami sandwich and it was good. The worst experience!! We and 2 other families placed an order for dinner at 4pm and wanted it delivered to Our hotel. The restaurant said to send the Uber at 5:15, which we did. The Uber driver waited for 1.5 hours!!! The food was not ready, they took other orders and we Didn't get the food until after 7pm!! When I called the next day they refused to take responsibility for any of it and just said "sorry". The Uber driver charged us extra fees for waiting and we had hungry kids for 2 hours waiting for their food. They didn't compensate anything. The food was ok but the absolute worse service ever! will never go there again! read more
