Debbie was a treasure to work with! Her cakes and desserts far exceeded our expectations. We got married on May 6th 2023, and one of the most important things for us was to have a cake and dessert table that tasted as good as it looked. We're not big on traditional cakes, but we love pies and cheesecakes. So we knew we had to hunt down a baker that could make this happen. Our tasting was a blast! We got to sample homemade fillings, custards, 2 different variations of tres leches, chocolate decadance... you name it and she'll make it! Debbie was open to trying new things and attempted to bake even some of the non-traditional requests that she typically gets. She's funny, kind and very talented. When you walk into her kitchen she makes you feel at home. She gives off loving mom vibes with her apron covered in flour and her cute jokes. We ultimately fell in love with her strawberry filling cheesecake. We had a rough idea of what it was going to look like; a modern design with specks of gold, florals and our doggie cake topper- hand drawn on paper. We recommend emailing her inspo pics so she knows exactly what the vision is. The finished cake was gorgeous and delicious, and the price cannot be beat. Our dessert table looked phenomenal! We had requested to have to-go boxes for our guests but everything was eaten by the end of the night. HIGHLY recommend you reach out to Debbie for your upcoming wedding.

Birthday cake flavor: New York cheesecake mixed with apricot buttercream cake - sooo good!

My husband and I used Debbie for our wedding cake a while ago and she did an incredible job! I used her again recently (2025) for my birthday cake and she did an amazing job! Not only are her cakes beautifully designed but they're also delicious. Literally some of the best tasting cakes Ive had. Awesome customer service as well. Debbie is super friendly and so fun to chat with!

My husband and I love love love Debbie and her cakes! She is very responsive and prioritizes your vision, and will go over any alternatives or options with you. She avoids using too much artificial ingredients/food colorings, so you can trust her with the quality of the cakes. We tried tasting various flavors for the wedding cake, and chose to go with the three flavors: Toasted Almond, Half-original half-chocolate cheesecake, and Tiramisu. The 160+ wedding guests were all raving over the cakes, especially the Toasted Almond! The other flavors we loved during the tasting were carrot cake and lemon poppy. They delivered the cakes to our wedding venue and made sure everything was perfect. Because we just loved her cakes, we had asked her to bake our gender reveal cupcakes on a short notice. She was super flexible and went above and beyond to meet our requests. They were delicious and the inside pink filling was strawberry-flavored and especially yummy! Debbie is super sweet and we would highly recommend if anyone is looking for a cake vendor!! She never fails to impress.

Debbie has done my son's birthday cakes for the past four years, Spiderman this year. She does such a fabulous job, is very accommodating, and the cakes taste amazing! These are the cakes over the years - we will continue to use Debbie for our kids birthdays!

If you are looking for a cake and dessert vendor for your wedding, don't look further than Debbie from Not Just Cheesecakes! Debbie is a passionate baker and artist and can create literally anything your heart desires. She created a masterpiece for the dessert tablescape and made the cake of our dreams for our July 2024 wedding . Everyone was impressed by our dessert bar and the variety! And not to mention how absolutely delicious everything was. Debbie was just a pleasure to work with, such a kind, accommodating person. She was very flexible and generous with tastings. She has a little bit of something for everyone! You can tell how much she enjoys her work and how much effort and love she pours into it. Thank you, Debbie, for your work in putting together part of our vision for our fairytale wedding!!

Debbie is an ANGEL!! I am sooo glad I found her and could support her one woman show she has created! She took every single detail I wanted and absolutely blew me away. Every single person at our wedding was in AWE of this cake masterpiece and I can't recommend her enough! Thank you for making our special day so amazing!

Not Just Cheesecakes was suggested to us by an acquaintance and after trying 3-4 other bakeries, we realized the perfect baker we wanted was right in front of us all along! Not only Debbie is local to us (something that was important to us), she is a phenomenal baker. Our consultation with her and tastings were great. One thing that played a key role in our decision is her pricing policy. It's not by number of tiers but by number of guests. We found it very fair way to determine pricing! She patiently answered all our questions and made us a perfect nature themed cake as per the design we requested. We opted for Traditional White with Orange filling and Toasted Almond flavors. Both were a big hit at our wedding! We have preserved the top now for our first anniversary and already cannot wait to eat it!!

Bravo! I used Debbie at Not Just Cheesecakes for my daughters wedding. She is so easy to work with...really puts your mind at ease. Her desserts are to die for! Perfect --sweet but not to sweet....super creative and willing to try anything combination to make the Client happy. She was detailed in her communication's really made you feel like your order is just as special as anyone else's. She came to the venue set up the Dessert table, added the flowers that the florist left...it was just beautiful I highly recommend Debbie for her cakes, mini pies and Cookies!

Debbie made this amazing huge Rubrik cube cake for my son's birthday that was even off set to show off the unsolved layers. Love the bright colors and the WOW effect that everyone got when they saw the cake! It's definitely a piece of art to look at! We ordered the apricot chocolate orange ganache, a fancy flavor that Debbie offers on her menu! The fondant tasted delicious too! Debbie is such a pleasure to work with. she was super friendly and just so so super talented at her craft! Thank you Debbie!

DEBBIE IS A GENIUS ...in the kitchen and on design! she baked, designed, and decorated without a shadow of a doubt THE BEST FRIGGIN WEDDING CAKE we could ever hoped to have for our wedding! THREE flavors!!! personal custom design! she was even so awesome to let us taste her creations by well, YOU have to just schedule with her and find out for yourself ....if you're planning a SPECIAL occassion and are looking for THE BEST, Debbie is just that and her artwork in baking IMO absolutely is unmatched, extraordinary and down right BEAUTIFUL!!! ..believe me, im not your typical cat who wants to just say some ish on a review platform. we booked some tastings, sat down and ran some numbers with a few establishments ...Debbie provides a service that is way above and beyond...and she is just a very cool person with a great personality to work with.

I have nothing but good things to say about Debbie and not just cheesecakes. The only problem I had was when I went to do my tastings for my wedding I liked all of the cake options way too much so it was hard to choose! I ended up choosing three different flavors one for each layer of the cake and my guests loved it! The cake that she made was beautiful and she even decorated it with flowers provided by my florist and lent me a gold cake stand to use for the wedding. Debbie is one of the most kind sincere people I have ever met, and I would not hesitate to choose her for any other event requiring a cake that I may have.

    My Daughter's 1st Birthday Cake!

Debbie is Such a Warm Soul. It was wonderful meeting her in person. My family and friends were totally Astonished when we saw the Cakes. The Cakes looked Fantastic. Debbie is such an artist with great knowledge and Experience. The cakes speak for itself. The Enhancements she added to the cakes shows her Passion & Dedication for the work she do. Can't thank her enough for how special She made our Joint Birthday celebration with her creations. Dhrish loved his Car Cake and couldn't wait to play with his car. Both Cakes were equally beautiful and Delicious. We'd love to be connected to Debbie and will continue to use her work of art in our future events. Thank you again, Namu & Suresh

This bakery was recommended to us by relatives and Debbie was amazing! We were looking for a 3 tiered wedding cake. We went to her shop for a taste testing and due to covid, we had to take the samples home and taste it ourselves. But for the samples, she made mini cakes customized to exactly what I wanted - the type of cake, type of frosting and type of filling. She even gave me a sample of other frostings/fondant to try on the side. Her cakes are customized down to the inch and it tasted AMAZING! She is really sweet and will listen to all of your requests including the decorations on the cake. Her prices are very reasonable and she even gives you a one-year anniversary cake! We can't wait for that!

We came to the shop around 11:30 a.m. on August 23rd…read more When we arrived there were two patrons outside enjoying their coffee and pastry and another set of patrons inside a little girl with their dad having a little tea party. I will say that walking in the space is elegant is the word I would like to use but also inviting with the little extras that they do at the table with the fresh flowers the soft chairs the colorful decor that surrounds it. Also the two individuals behind the counter that were taking orders and packaging things were just a delight. Both of them greeted us with a smile and they asked us if it was our first time to the shop and we told them yes and so they walked us through some of the more popular items and how are things were broken down and that was very much appreciated cuz there are many many options in front of you in unless you know exactly what you want you can be looking at everything for a couple of minutes before you decide on even one thing. We ended up getting a regular latte and a rose latte for our drinks. And then as a little delicious taste of something we got the chocolate croissant and the almond croissant. I am going to comment on my rose latte first that thing was beautifully made because though it was sweet but in a way that wasn't overpowering because you could still taste a little bit of the caffeine the creaminess of the milk that was used and the espresso it was like a hint in the background so a little call out there if you're someone that really wants to taste their coffee this wasn't the jam for you and that's okay my husband got the regular latte with steamed milk and I tasted his and that was like coffee in your face so you can always go for a solid twist like that. And to clarify his latte was also very good because it just tasted so fresh and of high quality. Now for the pastries. They were stupendous because they had the right amount of flakiness but softness. They also were buttery but not overly so were like major hands feel greasy it was so savory both of them which is interesting because the fillings one was chocolate one was almond I would have thought that both of them would have had an overpowering sweetness to them. We will say that we both liked the almond croissant more not that the chocolate one wasn't just as good. The almond had a little bit of a 1up because I don't know how to explain it it's almost like it had a almond crumble at the top so you bit into the pastry which was fluffy but you had the crunch on the top then you had a little bit of the almond filling and then you had the butter and like the soft but almost chewiness of the inside of the layers just stupendous all of that together was great. If we end up ever being in that area again will definitely want to go back to try the rest of the stuff they had because I want to know how everything else takes especially those beautiful cakes that were just art themselves

The space has a modern yet warm feel with beautiful natural wood finishes, fresh loaves of sourdough lining the shelves, pastries displayed in the case, and a mix of large communal wood tables, regular seating, and high-top tables. It's the kind of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. The staff was friendly and helped us choose both a pastry and our toast. They were also happy to customize our order--we asked for the levain sourdough toast with butter instead of the usual olive oil. That toast was absolutely divine. The sourdough had the perfect balance: chewy without being too sour, with a crust that was crisp but not so hard that it fought back. Easily the best sourdough toast I've had in the Bay Area. If you come here, this is the one thing you have to order. The only disappointment was the butter. They serve French butter, but for an extra $2, the portion was tiny and honestly nothing special. I've had better butter from Whole Foods. It didn't take away from how incredible the bread was, but it wasn't worth the upcharge. Their Kouign-amann is also one of the best I've ever had. Instead of the typical flat, flaky style, theirs is taller with countless buttery layers that create an amazing texture. The cappuccino was another highlight. It had subtle notes of orange peel, whiskey, and cardamom, making it unique. The latte art was beautiful too. Overall, Manresa Bread is one of those cafés that makes you want to sit down with a laptop or a book and spend a few hours there. The only downside is there are no power outlets, so come with a full battery if you're planning to work. Must orders: Levain sourdough toast with butter and the Kouign-amann. Both are worth the trip.

After checking out their yelp page I saw they had food as well so the plan was set to go for lunch. There's a small but empty enough parking lot along with street parking. I walked over around lunch time and there was one person ahead of me. I ordered a steak torta which seemed promising. The lady who took my order twisted my arm into getting a licuado (milkshake). While waiting for my food, I went next door for a drink and chips. My food was ready in less than 10 minutes and the line had grew by that time. The torta was really tasty and fresh, all the ingredients hit the notes needed. The bread stood out in good and bad ways. The flavor was above average but it crumbled quite a bit. There was enough inside to hold up to the thick bread so I cant complain. My biggest gripe is there wasn't any salsa on the side and I didnt see any in the store. Maybe I just didnt ask? But if there is some available, this place could be a hit out the park. There was also a slight taste of tuna in my sandwich. They may have used the same spatula for the mayo as the tuna perhaps, im not sure. I didn't get sick or anything so I won't complain too much, just mentioning it. Salsa woulda covered it and elevated it but this is just my take. The licuado was standard mexican childhood approved. 7 bones for the drink and my total was like 19 bucks. We ended up with some french style baked items and a croissant tray. Of course also coffee. Everything was particularly made and delicious. We then went back to buy two big bags more to go home.

They still had the croissant cube i like and tried the matcha croissant to try something new. Also ordered off their hot brunch menu, the smoked salmon avocado toast w side salad and the burrata avocado toast but partner doesnt like cheese so ordered without it, comes with side salad. Also ordered an Americano and a Banana cream latte with almond milk. Thankfully there were plenty of seating as the first half morning rush already left, but by 12pm seating became sparse. The matcha croissant outside is white chocolate with matcha powder i believe, very sweet, not a huge fan of white chocolate. Inside there is chocolate which is nice, it's a nice crossiant tho and the signs say they use french butter and chocolate. The crossiant cube was delicious as always. The coffee was okay,,, the banana cream latte is better after all the cream as mixed into the espresso. I enjoyed my smoked salmon avocado toast, they give u plenty of smoked salmon and salad, the huge tomatoes on the burrato avocado toast is very tasty, they sprinkles olive oil and pepper on top i believe. Overall pretty nice brunch everything was just under $80 which is a bit steep for brunch but this place really has the most variety pastries in one place and tho coffee isn't the best but at least they have the option as well.
