I have bought your cakes and they are delicious !! The absolute BEST ever ! However, you have a girl working at your store, I don't know her name but she is tall with brown hair and I hate to give a negative comment about her, but each time I have been there she has been very cold and shows no customer service. She doesn't smile or involve herself with making a sale. Any question I ask is received with a blank face and a short answer with no extra help. Because of her I have walked out of your store twice. I came in to buy a couple of large cakes each time but with her attitude on both occasions I decided I didn't want to give her my business no matter how good your cakes were. The Emeryville store is always HAPPY, UPBEAT and go out of there way to help the customer. Meh- not bad, but certainly not great, bundt cakes. Here's why... The day had already been going poorly: it was hot, and I was waiting at the DMV for 2 hours. I thought my day would be better when I saw the sign for Nothing Bundt Cakes in the shopping center adjacent to the DMV. I was warmly greeted by the beautiful cakes as an employee offered me a sample of their rasberry-white chocolate cake. It was absolutely delicious, but being in the mood for red velvet, I purchased a personal sized cake. However, once I tried this cake, while it tasted good, the flavors of vegetable oil and lard soon took over. The cake was moist and the frosting was the perfect combination of sweet and sour, but there are certainly better bakeries in the area that don't use hydrogenated oils. I know that Nothing Bundt Cakes has many locations across the country, so I can forgive them as to why they use oils to ship and perserve their treats, but I will definitely try other bakeries in the area, such as Victoria's in Larkspur, instead. read more

These bundlette cakes are so yummy and moist. They make a perfect little birthday surprise. The staff is always friendly and the store is bright and clean. I love splitting a bundlette at the San Rafael Pacifics baseball games. Every month there is a flavor of the month, and they give you a free bundlette for your birthday. I think $4.50 is a tiny bit much, should be more like $3.50, but I get NBC needs to make a profit. read more

In love! We tried this place for our 1st time yesterday and got the 12 bundt-tini sampler. Tried the white chocolate raspberry, lemon, chocolate chocolate chip, and the red velvet. Let me start off with this caveat: I dont eat dessert often. I'm not on a diet or anything, I just prefer my salty snacks. However, this place is so amazing. My top 3 cakes are pecan praline, lemon, and carrot in no particular order. There are no cakes that I actively dislike. The cake is soft and spongy, and the icing is sweet and delicious. First time here, daughter had chocolate chocolate chip, she loved hers. Wanted to review the gluten free version (why tried this place). As a long time GF due to food allergy, there was a time this would have been great, however with so many options available now, I was very disappointed. I have made GF mixes at home that were much better. The cake was dry and not flavorful. I've ordered from Nothing Bundt Cakes (NBC) a couple of times and all have been positive experiences. My first order was for my dad's birthday and everything from the decorations, presentation and customer service was great. One time I ordered a bundt cake for a co-workers birthday and misplaced the receipt and the manager was nice enough to email me the receipt within an hour without any hassle or fuss. My kids liked it a lot. They had free samples. My kids ordered the cinnamon one and devoured it in the car. It would have been nice had there been seats to eat the cakes. The guy behind the counter was nice and friendly. I would definitely go here if I had to fake a home baked cake. I wouldn't have even gone in have I not heard so many great things about this place from friends (people have thought that my homemade bundt cakes came from here). So I am a fan because it will give the locals another option to Safeway and Susiecakes. I also love to bake bundt cakes myself. It is the most forgiving of the cake pans, if you are willing to prep the pan correctly and wait until the cake cools down before you try to release the cake from the pan. There are probably more detailed pointers but I should confess that in high school, the coffee shop I worked for had me bake tons of these cakes whenever it was slow. And since my boss was a perfectionist, I learned a lot of tricks. But it isn't rocket science. The biggest trick is just to follow the directions carefully when you bake. I am not giving 5 stars because mostly of my own self righteous bias that these cakes really aren't that hard to make. But I get it, if you wont, don't or can't bake and you want something comfy and not fancy for yourself or for your friends and family this place will fulfill that need. read more

From beginning to end the process of ordering the cake was easy and the customer service was superb!! Now to the good part..........This was the best cake EVER!!! How lucky we are to have Nothing Bundt Cake in Corte Madera! I bought an 8" pecan cake for Christmas dessert and it was my family's all time favorite dessert. The pumpkin and mince meat pies were totally ignored while the bundt cake was polished off. We love these cakes (the icing is amazing) and they come highly recommended by a sweet loving, local family who knows a good thing when they find it.
