I moved to SoCal 5 years ago from DC and have heard a lot of chatter about it this place, but hadn't tried it until today when my boss brought the office a red velvet one. Seriously, it was one of the most amazing cakes I've ever eaten (probably a close second to the cakes at my fav spot in Los Feliz). It was soooo moist and fresh. It was the perfect level of sweet. The red velvet has chocolate chips baked inside - a very pleasant surprise! Cream cheese frosting is very hit and miss as it can often taste too heavy on the cream cheese flavor - not this stuff! Not only was that flavor much fainter than most frostings like this that I've tried, but the consistency was lightly and fluffy! Seriously amazing. The cake was moist and filled with chocolate chips. The cream cheese frosting was pretty sweet, but was easy to take off if its too much for you. The workers working were friendly, attentive and had greeted me upon entering. The storefront was clean and open. I'd recommend this place to others. Needing something for a birthday and decided to try them out. Never had anything here before. Love the look and decorations. Everything is super cute. Customer service is great, ordering was a breeze. I got an 8" snickerdoodle. Presentation was very nice and the bundt posed wonderfully for pictures. So why 3 stars you ask? TOO SWEET. The cake was wayyy too sweet. I could still feel some of the sugar granules when I ate it. Both in the cake and the frosting. Wayyyy too SWEET. All of their cakes are absolutely delicious - they offer 10 different flavors to choose from and all cakes are topped with their delicious, thick, RICH icing. My go to order is 12 Bundtinis (mini Bundt cakes). They have a preset menu OR you can build your own box for only $20 bucks! A box of these are great for any occasion - I've brought them to birthdays, graduations and even Father's Day, and they've always been a hit. My personal favs are the Lemon, Confetti and Blueberry (this last one was a featured flavor). We came in one morning because my friend is ordering their cakes for her wedding and wanted me to taste a few of the flavors. They had two samples out that were both very tasty, and we ordered two small Bundt a, the confetti and the red velvet. I should preface this by saying I don't like cake. Unfortunately, this offer is not available at this Pasadena location. My favorite cake at Nothing Bundt Cakes remains the Lemon Cake. It's a delicious combination of sour and sweet. Pretty close to favorite bundt cake status are the Red Velvet Cake and the Pecan Praline. Whichever cake you choose, however, all cakes at Nothing Bundt Cakes are always perfectly moist, and they are sure to satisfy anyone's sweet tooth. The bundtlets are also pretty good-sized portions, and they are perfect for sharing. They keep well stored in the refrigerator over a few days, and one bundtlet was actually our mini-dessert for two following 3 meals at home! Besides getting the occasional bundlet from time to time, we have ordered both the 8-inch bundt cake as well as the 10-inch bundt cake for friends and family. When we first ordered the 8-inch cake months ago, we found that the plastic cover did not completely make a perfect seal. The store staff actually sets up the plastic cover open on two of four sides. When we pre-ordered two 10-inch bundt cakes this past Christmas, we requested that the plastic cover be completely sealed since the cakes will be stored for at least a day before serving. I am a big fan of Nothing Bundt Cakes ever since it first opened up in Irvine. Since then, I've had multiple opportunities to try and sample the cakes, especially since they're a popular dessert item that people enjoy bringing to group dinners as well. I haven't had the opportunity to make it out to Pasadena's new location until recently. This location is right on Lake Avenue - close to T Pumps - with a few parking spots right in front of the store. There are more free 90 minute lots further down the street. Location is pretty busy, but I was able to find parking quickly and drop by to pick up a bundlet in less than 10 minutes. Love that they have several samples (cut up pretty regularly I would say) in their sample display that you can try before making your purchases. They have their bundlets in the refrigerated section on display as well as samples of their cakes. If you want bundtinis or whole cakes, I believe you have to place an order. I ended up getting the confetti bundlet (a new flavor!). I've always been a fan of confetti cake, so I wasn't surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I was surprised when I saw my parents taking bite after bite and almost finishing the whole thing! Super moist and not overly sweet. The cream cheese was able to add to the flavor of the cake, satisfying the sweet tooth craving while subtly making you want to take another bite. So far I've tried the lemon, white chocolate raspberry, chocolate chocolate chip, marble, and carrot. I haven't had a bundlet that I didn't like although there are definitely flavors I enjoy more. All of the bundlets have been very moist and tasty - but I'm definitely more partial to the confetti and marble. I would say that every location of Nothing Bundt Cakes are pretty similar - so you can expect top notch bundlets at every location. This location also has a variety of items for sale, but I went straight for the bundlet before exiting the store. Workers were friendly and helpful. I came here for the first time with a friend and thought the shop was darling. Staff is always friendly and their are always samples which is a great way to try different flavors. If you sign up for their birthday club you get one free bundt on your birthday! The bundts are a little pricey but I still find myself returning. I don't know how my friend got me to come here on a Saturday morning early to line up for the grand opening to be one of the first fifty in line to get a bundt cake each month for a year. I've had the Bundtlets from here before and thought they were just okay. The last time I had one, I thought there was too much frosting (since they had it on top and in the middle). I (along with a few others), threw a surprise baby shower luncheon for one of our co-workers last week. Unfortunately most of us came down with the flu and were recovering. Our coworker who likes to bake was not able to make a cake so she opted to purchase a 10" cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. It serves 18-20 people and costs $39.95. She chose the Cute as a 'Bundt'on (028) design with yellow/Maize bow and photo with Baby Shoes. I think these semi-custom bundt cakes are a great idea, especially since we were in a crunch for a cake (This was our Plan B.). I actually think the larger bundt cakes are more moist compared to the smaller "Bundlets". I thoroughly enjoyed my slice more than I thought I would. I ordered about 16 dozen boxes of the buntinis (mini muffin like) and all my tenants enjoyed them! They were the perfect size, not too sweet, and the perfect amount of frosting.
