My wife ordered a cake online from the West Lafayette Nothing Bundt Cakes as a surprise for my first day at a new job. She scheduled the delivery for a specific time and included a lovely personal note. Unfortunately, the cake was never delivered and was returned to the store. When my wife went to ask what happened, she was told that delivery was not their responsibility because they use a third-party service. However, we ordered and paid Nothing Bundt Cakes directly, including the delivery fee. From a customer's perspective, the delivery service they choose is still part of the service they sell. My wife asked to speak with a manager but was told no manager was available. We returned again to resolve the issue, and once again there was no manager. When I said I wanted to wait and speak with one, the employee repeatedly insisted that we leave instead of helping us find a solution. I cannot comment on the quality of their cakes because, despite paying for one, we never got to try it. What I can say is that if you are planning a surprise or special occasion using scheduled delivery from this location, be cautious. A failed delivery can mean more than just missing a cake--the special moment itself may be lost. In our case, what should have been a happy surprise became a frustrating and unpleasant experience. All the employees were masked and you have to have some kind of face covering to enter. Much appreciated! They have large/regular sized cakes and smaller (cupcake) sized ones. I tried the (mini) chocolate chip cake with cream cheese frosting (all their cakes have cream cheese frosting). It was moist and the right amount of chocolatey goodness. Of all the wide variety of cakes and pies, one wouldn't necessarily rate Bundt Cakes up with Bananas Foster and Raspberry Napoleon (I'm not either) BUT, what Nothing Bundt Cakes has done is definitely taken Bundt Cakes to the next level. I've tried about four or five of the flavor varieties they have in the small and large full-size Bundt Cakes, but their "Bundtlets", tiny Bundt Cakes are absolutely a stroke of genius. They are about 1-2 servings in size and a great way to sample their variety. We will never be back and will make sure to tell our friends to steer clear and find the next nearest location with understanding, tolerant and kind owners. So Delicious! The decor inside was adorable, they have unique gifts, cake toppers, and a HUGE special occasion cakes catalog to look over. It isn't cheap, but the individually packaged cakes are high quality and a decent size. I spent $45/dozen. They had 12 delicious choices to pick from and even had their lemon bundt cake as a sample-so moist and yummy! We got the lemon, white chocolate raspberry, chocolate chocolate chip, red velvet, and lemon raspberry. They all come with a cream cheese icing on top-my favorite was the white chocolate raspberry! They have an online mailing group, which I signed up for, and I had a survey on my receipt for BOGO free! The place was packed, which is a great sign, and everyone was ordering a ton! We used Nothing Bundt Cakes for our wedding cake. We love their cake so much that we HAD to incorporate it into our big day! We were NOT disappointed! As always, the cakes were super moist! We ended up selecting a tier cake (so that we could still have a cake cutting ceremony) and then had multiple flavors of bundtinis. It worked out PERFECTLY. I've been through this location many times with my girlfriend for random cravings of their mini selections which vary in many flavors and so far I think Lemon Raspberry takes the "cake" with a close second being their confetti cake. This is a national chain that opened in West Lafayette within the last year or so. Back when I lived on the west coast, I tried their bundt cakes a couple of times when people brought them into the office and didn't think much of them. I'm not sure if the cakes at this location are better or if my standards for good food have gone down since moving here (probably the latter, sadly) but I really like them now. It also probably doesn't hurt that they keep mailing us coupons for a free bundlet (mini bundt cake). They will also give you a free bundlet on your birthday if you sign up for their e-club, so although the cakes are fairly pricey there are lots of opportunities for freebies. The chocolate chocolate chip is my favorite cake flavor (all the cakes have the same frosting, a vanilla cream cheese frosting). The cake is nice and moist with a very strong chocolate flavor. I'm not normally a big fan of cream cheese frosting but I like theirs a lot. The frosting is definitely very sweet but the cake (at least the chocolate cake) is not too sweet so it balances out. read more

This place has some extraordinary bundt cakes!! We (my family) had an excellent experience as they were kind and subtle mannered in the store. With beautiful displays in a very cute, little artsy store front, I can already imagine this place taking off! Some may argue they need more diversity in their product line, however, I'd argue that with the top both quality products they deliver, they may not need to! I highly recommend stopping in and trying one, even if it's just one of their small ones!
