This is where I go here for my fried chicken. I travel 30 minutes from Bowie. It is worth the ride. The chicken is always crisp and fresh. Today, the chef made me a kebob chicken and beef. Chef D did a wonderful job. It was tasteful. The beef was tender and it was delicious. I had it with basmati rice and vegetables. Please go and try this meal. It was awesome. The style of bowl is similar to chipotle or qdoba or cava but blows chipotle out of the water. Better quality and bigger portion, the fried chicken was also amazing and the biscuits top it off. I have been to this establishment in the past and had the fried shrimp and the spicy chicken wings, which were both delicious. Today I came in and I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with Chicken Shawarma. I had a couple of questions about some of the toppings and Naseer was able to answer my questions about them. He also mentioned some new items that were coming to the menu and he was friendly. The bowl was flavorful, plentiful and the garlic topping was so good it with everything in the bowl. They should remove southern bites from their name. Southern bites to me means that the Mac and cheese isn't boxed Mac and cheese and the fried chicken would have some flavor. The fried shrimp is the same frozen battered shrimp you can get at Costco. The fries were also soggy with grease. I came upon this eatery on the humble. It was a Monday night and unbeknownst to myself, the restaurant I decided upon was shuttered. The staff was really knowledgeable about the cuisine and could answer all the questions that came to mind. Upon opening our order, 3/4 of it was missing! ( I can understand messing up an adults order, but forgetting half of my child's order is very disappointing ) The food that we received was not our correct order, and are VERY dissatisfied. I've been here twice already, the first time was within a week of them opening. I think it was just okay then probably because they had just opened and were still getting the hang of things (or more likely because I came within an hour to closing.) The chicken was flavorful but not spicy. The coleslaw was so tasty and the chicken sandwiches were good too The second time, I loved them!!! I got the build your own shawarma bowl and tbh I was not sure how the beef steak would be because just based off looks, it looked really dry. When I ate it though, it was so good! Tender and flavorful and all the veggies/toppings tasted so fresh. I was so full afterwards so I would not suggest getting any sides if you're going to be getting a bowl. The rest of my family ordered the 4 piece spicy chicken, spicy chicken sandwiches, and more bowls. Everyone was so satisfied and happy with what they got. The prices are great too so I would definitely recommend trying them if you get a chance. Great service and they're open until 11 every night so that's a plus too. I was surprised to see that it is actually 2 menus: one southern, one Mediterranean. Both are simple and reasonably priced. I went Southern for today. The chicken was tasty, juicy, and the crust was light and really crispy, which I love. I tried the trout, as well, which was seasoned nicely. Also, the biscuits were fluffy and buttery. Delicious! I visited Notos a few days after it opened to see what they offered, and everything looked very good. I decided to go back and try one of their family meals, so I bought a 12-piece chicken meal. The chicken was delicious, fresh, and crispy. The family meal comes with biscuits and three sides. I will say that the sides are small and seem more like an individual serving, not a family size serving for the meals. So this is my favorite lunch spot. Most of my staff eat here and always get food to take home. It is very clean, calm, friendly and inviting place to eat. The food is amazing. Notos is my top pick and that says a lot being in a area where there is over 12 different place to eat within walking distance of my job.
