I replied saying yes.. Ignoring my frustration, then she walks off talks to a server and they go help the person who sat down after me. I quietly picked up my things and left. I'm not one to complain often, but the restaurant wasn't busy and their were several servers walking around. We were looking for something different, came across this Argentine restaurant, we walked in, the restaurant has a really weird strong smell that made me want to throw up. We decided to sit outside because we heard the empanadas here are good, but people in Miami smoke like crazy on premise, so the whole time, id smell cigarette smoke's blowing my way. We got the empanadas sampler, veggie which contained spinach and cheese (ehh, not impressed), beef which had cheese, beef and sauce (this was okay). Chicken had melted cheese, shredded chicken, cilantro sauce (best of four), ham and cheese, melted cheese and ham (okay, my second best). The food and drinks were good. The service was excellent. Probably the best we had on Key Biscayne. The food is good, the bread served is fresh and comes with a good dipping sauce, it was also good with butter. The lettuce and veggies were fresh and the grilled chicken breast was excellent, it actually tastes like pork shop, it is boneless but has skin, however the skin seems to add to the flavor and retention of marinades and juices. When ever I hear "Novecento" I think of super delicious empanadas. They are delicious. I especially like the beef, and the ham & cheese empanadas. We also like their ceviche. It's always very fresh and tasty. I've been to both of their locations on Brickell and now Key Biscayne and both locations are consistently good with their food quality and their service. Prices are reasonable and the wait staff is always pleasant. If you like empanadas, try Novecento. read more

Interesting restaurant. My cousin took me there while we were visitng her. The food was good and the service was good too.

I ordered off of their daily specials menu, muscles with a side of fries. It wasn't amazing but it wasn't horrible. I paired it with a glass of their Albariño (white wine) and that was pretty good. It was not very dry or overly sweet. I did find that the service was spotty. We were originally approached by a middle aged women, who was very nice and we placed our drink orders. But then, a man around our age approached the table very aggressively requesting for our IDs. I could not for the life of me understand why our first server couldn't have asked us and why he had to so aggressively imply that we were under age ( I'm 26) and trying to pull a fast one on him. I guess our group just looks very young (maybe I shouldn't complain ;) ). One of us is vegan and she did find something to eat but they aren't very vegan friendly but in their defense it is an Argentine steakhouse. My bf ordered the ravioli with oxtail and that was INCREDIBLE! his brother ordered the octopus, and it has a lot of flavor, very good. I'm giving it 3 stars because of service, that guy was just so rude about asking us for ID that we all felt so uncomfortable after. read more

Arrived here at novecento at 6:15pm and was greeted by a young lady who took our drink order. Then greeted by a second person asking for our drink order, and then again a third person Lorena, greeted and I asked her if she was our waiter as she was the third person to greet us. She said yes. Ordered the calamari and two burgers. Drinks came and later the burgers with no calamari. Called the waitress and informed the calamari was not brought to our table and we wanted to cancel it. She hesitated for a moment to register what I said. I assumed she wasn't paying attention while entering the order in the POS. I'm not surprised as the staff are lingering around chatting away and neglecting the tables. Service was seriously lacking as I had to continue to get the waitresses attention for drinks. Once we were Donne eating an amazing burger, once again, we were asked by 2 people if we wanted dessert or coffee... Just seems redundant as this isn't white table cloth fine dining establishment.... Unsure if I would come back here again to be neglected in service for a $16 burger...... Overall unimpressed with the establishment Staff being very pretentious and not service inclined. Went last night as my wife and I miss the quality of the old Novecento on Brickell and the SoHo location ever since the new owners and manager ruined the place. We were delighted to find that the Key Biscayne location still holds the real Novecento standard! Started with ceviche and then an Excellent entraña, perfect asparagus side. A fantastic Ribera complimented it nicely. Place has a great vibe and wasn't empty like the Brickell location. Hopefully this place survives the rebranding because Miami needs good Argentinian food in an upscale location with character. Looking forward to returning. read more

Absolutely over priced.... VERY POOR management... I have given this place so many chances for the past 6 years and it was decent once it started but now its absolutely ridiculous. I do not write negative reviews but I feel that many people should be aware about this current situation going on with the Novecento in Key Biscayne. My advice to UPPER management: 1. Every single one of your employees that deal with customer service MUST know how to speak and understand the english language. (Key Biscayne is a part of the United States of America) 2. Lower your prices and do not charge $7+ for simple side orders (The quality of your food is not up to par with your pricing, GFS and SYSCO are most likely your main food suppliers) 3.CUSTOMER SERVICE IS KEY- You lost a client which is me and many others who have agreed with me recently and as a local Key Biscayne resident for the past 24 years, I will continue to warn people not to waste their time or hard earned money on this establishment. read more
