Incredibly disappointed in how this business operates. I was in a few weeks ago for an oil change. They told me I needed $1300 worth repairs for brake pads, rotors, and brake flush. Said my rotors were at 1%. Took my car to another shop yesterday for an estimate. I DID NOT need $1300 worth of repairs. In fact, my rotors were fine. My front break pads were at 20% and back at 50%. This shop tried to take advantage of a single mom and daughter when I came in for an oil change. Your staff should be ashamed of trying to deceive customers. read more

The customer service here was horrible. They were telling me that they prefer not to take cash because after 7 o'clock, they would have to go to the bank and then their Technician who was there to pick up another repair order was telling me how to use a credit card and tell me I need to use a credit card which is very unprofessional. There was no sign explaining that they did not take cash. If you didn't want to take cash have a sign that says don't take cash, but don't tell me that you don't want to go to the bank drop off money after a transaction. read more

I came here out of convenience. I needed at least two new tires-I ended up with four. They told me I needed all new brakes too or I wouldn't pass inspection-I'll find out next month and will follow up on a review accordingly. I declined the $1500+ brake installation and will see what happens. They finished my car within a couple hours and I was on my way. I think the value here is closely tied to the convenience of the location for me. If there had been more options I would have shopped around a bit. The customer service was pretty friendly and I'd be open to bringing my car here again . read more

NTB - National Tire & Battery The service representative here at the 9568 Burke Rd location is very shady. I needed to repair a flat tire and he told me that I had to buy a new tire. It would cost me $176.24 for ONE new tire, including installation and balancing. I said "no, thank you" and he looked at my tire, shaking his head. I went to the AutoZone at the same locale, bought an EZ tire patch kit for $12 and patched it myself in their parking lot in 5 minutes (no special tools needed). That was 10 months ago and the tire has not gone flat. Don't spend almost $200 to fix a flat at this place. The representative is a rip-off artist. read more

Scheduled online, dropped off, ran some errands, and returned a few hours later to a finished job. I'd give them a zero. Had four tires installed and service a tpms light. They did not fix the tpms light and demonstrated incompetence laziness and unprofessionalism. They told me I needed to take it to a dealer- basic diagnostic's. The sensor was defective on front left tire but they could not figure it out. I will not ever use them again. I took my car in NTB Burke, VA for a tire change, which I was supplying it myself, after I had a flat and was driving on a spare. The NTB MOD (Bilal) took my car to the shop to replace the tire when they realized the tire could not be changed because the spare had been put on incorrectly, damaging various parts of the wheel components (through no fault of NTB). However, in the course of the technician driving my car to/from the shop bay, the passenger side rear quarter panel was damaged. I saw the damage immediately when i got home and called the Burke, VA branch. At the time, the branch MOD (Bilal) apologized, said he would review the video, and asked me to get an estimate to repair the damage. The day after on my way to dealership I showed my car to NTB store manager/owner (did not get his name- I think it was an Arabic name)- he took pictures of the damage and said I look at the store camera and will let contact you. My car was at the dealership for about a week while the wheel components were repaired and during that time I attempted to reach out to the manager to discuss next steps. After finally reaching him, the he rudely informed me that he didn't see anything in the videos, that he wouldn't share any of the videos, and that I am free to file a lawsuit. Needless to say, this is outrageous. I intend to file suit and leverage any of our other available remedies. read more

I would like everyone to know about my experience at NTB. Less than two years ago I bought four brand new tires with a warrant. Today I needed to use that warranty to fix or replace one of my tires. The people here said they have been bought out by MAVIS and would no longer honor any warranty offered by NTB. They were happy to continue to try and sell me more new tires along with their new branding on a guarantee. My advice is to avoid this place at all costs when looking for tires wheels or tire service. i took my Prius in for an oil change and tire rotation. I was told that I badly needed spark plugs and cleaning of the fuel injection system. i declined and only accepted the oil change and tire rotation. When I picked up the car, the tires had not been rotated (my tires are marked). When I took the car to my mechanic to check spark plugs I was told that it is over an hour of labor to access the plugs, so you simply change them if you access them. And the hybrid doesn't tend to go through spark plugs and I was fine until about 120,000 miles. i won't be going back to this sore. read more

DO NOT USE THIS STORE! The service manager lost his temper and threatened my husband with physical violence. And the problem we brought the car in for was not fixed, even though we paid $480 for the repair. I have never experienced this anyplace in my life and we have complained to the parent company, Mavis as well as reported it to police. I took my car to my mechanic for an oil change and an issue with braking. Turns out the tires were bad. But I only drove my car for 18,000 miles only, since my then new tires (all 4 of them) were installed! Today I went to NTB to ask why my tires, guaranteed for 60,000 miles, were already worn out after less than a 1/3 of their life! They wouldn't hear anything unless I could prove 3 years of tire rotation performed by my mechanic!!! Who keeps 3 years of records? They refused to honor the guarantee or give me any credit of considerable value because I could only prove 1 rotation within the last year only. They gave me a new contract with a rebate of $70 for both tires which came down to exactly what I paid originally three years ago. They had no solution, they just seemed no to care and only wanted to sell new tires. Came here because I bought my tires from this location. I scheduled an appointment because I needed 1 Tire Pressure Sensor replaced. When I dropped off my car I told the manager the was indicating that 1 Tire Pressure Sensor was not reading. I had a missed call from the shop, I called back and was told they had replaced 2 Tire Pressure Sensors. I asked why and was told both were bad. I explained to manager that I only needed 1 sensor was bad when I dropped it off. I asked why I wasn't informed before changing both sensors and he said, I called you and you didn't answer. After a couple of minutes of back and forth he says, the other tire pressure sensor battery was low but not dead! So I am still confused as to why he changed it without confirming with me first, especially if the sensor was not bad. read more

Terrible Customer Service--I made an appointment to get a tire checked and they said it needed replacement. Made another appointment 3 days later as it had to be ordered. Checked that they would honor my tire warranty from the dealer. When I got there, another technician took 20 minutes to tell me he didn't have the tire and he did not understand how to use the tire warranty. VERY unhelpful bordering on rude. A complete rip off. I went to get 4 tires and they called me and to tell me that my rear brakes were worn down to 2 mm snd won't pass inspection next month and also needs brake fluid changed. I told them I can do that. i used to me a mechanic. So I got new rear brake pads. When I removed my old ones they were not even worn down 30%. Put the new ones in and took the old ones and showed the manager. He denied ever telling me it needed brakes or a brake fluid change and that I am a liar. He said if i had turned down a service it would show on the ticket. Corporate was not happy to hear this and informed me all phone calls are recorded and will prove he lied and TRIED TO STEAL $800 from me for work that wasn't needed. While my daughter was home for a visit, I saw that the tires on her boyfriend's car were badly dry rotted. They didn't have much time here for the visit, so I called around and the manager Ivy was able to get the car in on a rush. When I got there, we found that the tool/key to remove the security lug nuts was missing. Ivy and his team went out of their way to help us. I was truly impressed with how they all were working as a team. Not just on our problem but other people's as well. With a lot of effort, the team managed to get the locks off and quickly set in on the new tires and alignment. I have a blended family of 5 kids. I will assuredly be going back. Thank you Ivy ! I've been using NTB for years at the Port Royal Road location in Springfield. They closed down that location so I went to the location in Burke now owned by Mavis. I called Tuesday and asked for an appointment on Wednesday for a simple tire rotation. They could not do fit me in so i booked for 11 AM on Thursday. I got there at 10:55 and they tech behind the desk looked at me and said they do not have me listed for an appointment, but he said they could take care of me quickly. No mention of "I'm sorry". After an hour and twenty minutes my car was still sitting in the parking lot. I asked for my keys because I had to leave for an appointment. Again....no "I'm sorry". If they learned to use those magic words it would mean a lot to customers. I will not coming back to that location again. read more

I am disappointed at the customer experience I received when I found out the 3 year wheel alignment pkge is no longer offered after Mavis acquired NTB. In addition, I wasn't offer the $10 off for the alignment until I mentioned it. I feel I no longer have the excellent customer experience/appreciation I received before NTB Burke was acquired by this new company. I'm sure there are other shops that would offer me a better customer service/experience. read more

I will open my review by stating that I have been using various NTB stores since they were still called Merchant's, and I've always been taken care of. The store in Burke is no exception. It was time to get new tires after nearly 3 years of extensive use, and I stepped into this store one afternoon at work just to talk about getting an appointment. The Gentleman who greeted me, Zach, took all of my details and set up an appointment for a couple days later. He was able to contact the manufacturer of my tires to get a pro-rated discount for the mileage I did not get out of them - a time consuming process to say the least, for which I was grateful. I dropped my truck off and came back after getting a call from Bee that it was ready. Everything was done correctly and with care, and the truck drives like a brand new vehicle now. But, I need to mention the young man, Bee, who I left my truck with. He has an absolutely wonderful attitude with customers, and listens to every concern with the utmost attention. He went above and beyond to handle a line of customers on a busy Saturday morning, and did so gracefully. I cannot recommend this young man enough for his stellar attitude - a lost art these days. Fortunately, the new representative, Mir was very kind and went online and searched extensively to locate our records. He was very diligent and I could not be happier with his service. Please do not go to NTB Burke I used to go to NTB Burke since I moved in. last time, when I received an oil change, the tech asked me for an oil filter housing replacement. that is the first time hear the part name. I am sure that the oil filter housing only touched by NTB techs in 2020. I am sure that some of the NTB tech's mistake caused by the issue. Today, the customer service can't help the reason why my car's part product quality isn't good( It's a genuine Toyota part), and It's not NTB's issue. I am utterly disappointed to say the least, i'd be in better shape if I never took my car there in the first place. Took the car in and they said it needed everything from a spark plug replacement to every fluid change possible. Agreed and when I went to pick up my car, the brakes no longer worked at all. Had to slam it in park while in the parking lot because the brakes weren't working at all. They broke the brake line and just gave it back to me while charging me all that money. This company charged me over 1200 dollars for the "repairs" and broke the brake line. They then said they would fix it by the next day and give me a call for no extra cost. Lo and behold they don't call so I have to and they let me know that they cant fix it and I need to get it towed and fixed somewhere else. Nor did they fix the problem or give any sort of available options for money back. Thanks for wasting my time and money. Save yourself and don't bother going to this shitshow they call a shop. read more
