We had the hitch, but not the necessary lighting required for a trailer rental. Although we had an appointment to install the lighting at a Richmond location of the trailer rental company--at considerable cost-- while stopping to visit friends, we were told the kit was not available and could not be located at any other store along the 95 corridor at this venue, but we would most likely get lucky if we made various stops at their locations along the way. We called Southside Hitch the next morning, hoping that they would be able to help, but figured we would pay for our lack of planning. We were told to come on out, they were sure they could accommodate us! And they did! So, I scheduled the work and planned to take lunch while waiting on the truck. I confirmed with the gentleman that checked me in at just before 11AM that it would be about an hour and his exact reply was "Yes, about that". I gave him my cell phone and told him I was going to walk up the road. I walked a few blocks to a spot to eat and returned at noon to find that the truck had not moved since I parked it. The young lady said she would check on it and confirmed that I had an 11AM appointment and said they would get to it ASAP. I waited a couple of minutes and noticed that the truck still had not moved. I then asked for my key and left. I never received and apology or any other response, other than my truck was up front with the key in it. I called around to a few places to find a place that worked on diesel cars and they said they did. When I showed up there was lots of confusion about my car. Wrong parts were used and eventually they determined they didn't have the part my car needed. I was advised to come back the next day, still no part. Day 3 at first they told me they didn't have the part then a second person came to correct the first so I was finally able to get my oil change. I thought everything was good until I went to get my car inspected...something was wrong with my car. Wrong filter and I had an oil leak (I'm not a car person but I'm pretty sure that was it). So I had to take my car to VW to get the work done correctly. This place was a waste if my time and money. I would never return.
