SCAMMED A PREGNANT YOUNG LADY! Daughter went in to the Baron Cameron Reston location alone because of a flat. Ended up getting a set of 4 new tires due to being pregnant and the danger of driving around on a spare. We trusted NTB to take care of her and we were wrong. She ended up with a set of four old, very poor quality tires that were filthy, old, and damaged. They charged $84.99 each even though their website says $69.99. They knew she didn't know any better and they took advantage. Her husband had to take off from work to take the car back and they ended up replacing the tires with better quality ones but they still charged an additional $106. I needed a new battery to replace my 13 year old battery that was dying. I called a week ahead to make an appointment for installation and pre order as it is a special size for my Audi. I showed up for the work and they told me that they do not pre order batteries and that he would need to look at the battery to verify size. He opened the hood. Dude .. the battery is in the trunk. He opened the trunk and then closed it again and told me he could not find the battery. Dude .. it is under the liner, under the spare tire. NTB stands for National Tire and BATTERY. He could not locate my battery. Once he found the battery, he told me that they do not have it in stock. I was aware of that which is why I asked for it to be ordered last week. This shop used to be good but they now have new owners. Never again. read more

I've had to visit twice in the past week for both of our cars and they are always accommodating and honest. Came in here with an issue that was clear, when I slow my car down it jugs along like it's about to turn off and it has turned off the in the past. So I basically come with a diagnosis for him, better I tell it's probably the ignition coil because I had one replaced a few months and the guy told me the other ones might go soon. Makes sense right? Not apparently here. They tell me I need to pay $150 for a diagnostic. Ok whatever I'm exhausted and I don't want to shop around. They get done with diagnostic and tell me I need new brake pads and a bunch of other crap that has nothing to do with ignition. They tell me an oil change might fix the problem. I go get an oil because this place charges $150. The car is smooth after the oil change everything is great. Next day the car doesn't start. It's the IGNITION. Waste of $150 and they should give me my money back because they're incompetent. read more

These guys are life savers! I've been to this NTB a few times and each time, from the service desk manager to the automotive techs, I've had an awesome experience. My most recent trip to them was yesterday Apr. 17. 2025. I had just bought a new (used) GTI and was testing it out near my house the night before. Somehow I got a nail in my tire. I didn't notice how low the pressure was until I got to work the next day. It was completely flat. I put enough air into the tire to allow me to drive to the Reston NTB. I wanted a patch since the tire was almost brand new. The service desk manager was able to fit me in within about an hour, for only a $40.00 repair he moved things around and got me in in about 45 minutes. They ended up having to plug the tire because of supply issues, so the manager plugged the tire for free. The automotive tech. who actually did the work said the plug would last for the life of the tire. Some places you go, everyone is so apathetic about your emergency; not the gents at NTB Reston. The service desk manager really projected understanding and a willingness to accommodate me and get the tire fixed in a reasonable amount of time. Anyhow, thanks for the help yesterday. read more

I was in the shopping center and I notice a nail in my tire. I walked over to the store to see if they could plug the tire for me since the nail wasn't on the sidewall. I was told $40 to plug 1 nail, this is extremely expensive compared to other tires I've had plugged at other tire establishments. I didn't want to drive with it so I said ok, he told me to bring the car over. When I came back (probably 2-3 min later) I was told it's going to take 45-60 min to fix. Not sure why he didn't tell me this when I went to get my car. They had 2 cars in the garage and the workers were literally sitting around. Now I remember why I stay away from NTB. I left and went to a shop a few min away, paid $25 and was on my way in 10 min later. read more

The air on my tire was depleting fast and I was driving a long distance. I needed reassurance to make sure the tire was okay or if I needed a repair. We needed to have our second car serviced with new brakes and a front end alignment. We had put off doing the work since the winter because we recently purchased a new vehicle, and this week we were finally in a position to fix my wife's car. It's a late model Subaru, and this is the first time that the car has had the brakes replaced. The tires are still in good shape, but I did notice some vibrations while driving it on the highway. This repair shop is not that far away, and they had the availability to get the work done over the holiday weekend. They also offered us a discount since we were having multiple services done at the same time. We dropped off the car late Wednesday afternoon, and we just picked-up the car today. Wow Siya who I assume is the service manager provides outstanding customer service. I plan on pulling my long and heavy duty trailer to Florida. To avoid possible issues, I replaced the old tires with new. Unfortunately, the shop that did the installation told me they would balance. They didn't balance however, didn't charge me for balancing. Called several places for the needed service. Upon speaking with Siya who was very courteous and professional, I decided to go to their shop. Beforehand he advised me what waiting time might be. Upon my arrival, he immediately had his crew work on my tires. They were sorta busy but since the service I need doesn't usually take much time...In less than 10 minutes they completed the job as I watched. The shop was very clean and organized. Got there, they couldn't find the tire for 30 minutes finally found it took another 45 minutes to do. I would never go to this place again read more

Over the last week or so, I've had more and more difficulty get my Nissan Rouge started. I decided to take the car in to have the battery checked plus an oil change, and $405 later my keys were returned. It was a fair price for parts although i can't remember paying labor for an oil change. Two reasons for concern: 1. Tried to up sell several services with parts and labor well over $1000. They mentioned brake worked was needed, but I had my brakes done professional 6 weeks earlier. 2. I also overheard a mechanic tell the boss "I've got your back" more than once when discussing estimates for other customers.. This is likely an overacting imagination on my part but still worth mentioning. Nowadays, it can sometimes be tough finding good service. I hope this helps your decision making process. read more

I brought my jeep In to get the old side of my suspension worked on and I even supplied all the parts. after 4 hours I was told everything was done with it they charged me $300 to do it. After driving home I noticed a burning rubber sound. I found my tire was being cut by one of the leaf spring brackets due to being installed Incorrectly. Took it back the next day asked if they can fix it. They said they will need to buy a new tire. So I ordered new tires 3 days later had my new tires come in just to find out they could not install my new tires because they stripped my lug nuts. I said when are you guys going to do about it. They told me to just pay for the tires and get a tow because they did not have the resources to fix what they broke. At this point I'm not happy with them. They damaged my vehicle and could not repair it. No compensation nothing they was like it not out problem any more. It took it to another shop who said they really messed up my jeep. Apparently they don't take responsibility for there damages. I will never take any of my vehicles here again. Update I Finally got my jeep back from another shop. They had to melt the lug nut and pry it off. As you see in my photo. The total damage was around $600.00 due to the negligence of NTB. All I wanted was a simple suspension job done. My other shop took 1 day to correct everything and another day to finish what NTB could not do. It would of been simpler if NTB turn down the jeep. I would not be posting this. read more

In addition, they'll try to "upsell" you on service you don't need. NTB was sold to Mavis Tire (ever heard of them? My son had his first flat tire and after we battled a lug nut and replaced it with the donut, I called NTB and spoke to Siya. I called NTB and spoke with Ziya on Wednesday morning and asked to bring my car in due to my wiper blades hitting one another in the opposite direction. He told me to bring it in that day when I had availability although the shop may be busy later in the day. I left my job early and was seen by Ziya personally upon arrival. He and Edgar took care of fixing my wipers within 45 mins. It was feasible and I had been worked in so I'm very appreciative of this service. I still have not heard from anyone from customer service contact me from MTB regarding their correcting the problem they caused at their site in Reston, Va. Not even Oliver their representative who originally contacted me once and is very cavalier in not getting a mutually convenient date to get their work corrected. I have now filed a complaint with the Dept. of Consumer Affairs for Fairfax County. I can still file a complaint with Dept of Corporations in Richmond. Va., and take legal action. I, like any trusting consumer, pay handsomely for work on our cars and deserve respect and safe work to be done so that we can drive carefully with our cars. God Bless America! read more

Usually I love this place, but they recently disappointed me, big time. Went to get my Jeep inspected and the dude doing the inspection decided that he didn't want to do it because I had my doors off (but side mirrors mounted). Not only did the pompous ass argue with me, they never called me and told me! After waiting two hours I went to check on it, and THAT'S when they told me. AGAIN, this is not a rule or a law. I went two other reputable shops and they all said the same thing...that this guy was wrong. And then to be an unprofessional asshole about it? This is a man who is not only a knowledgeable service professional, but also a man who possesses the highest qualities -- honesty and trustworthiness. Yesterday which was a Sunday; I had a tire with a screw in the tread that was causing air to escape almost as fast as the battery power air pump could put into the tire. I have never dealt with NTB but I thought that they were close and open so I'd give them a try. When I arrived a nice lady named Nancy said that she would have my tire ready by 4 P.M. as it only needed a plug. This morning when I arrived; I was told that the tire also had a leak in the sidewall which meant that I had to buy a new tire. I find it strange that I did not find this "second leak source" when I was looking at the tire in the first place. Last week, 5/30/2023, I brought my car to NTB, Baron Cameron in Reston, VA to have the tires checked as one seemed to be leaking [it wasn't]. While it was there, they balanced the tires - great! and did an oil change, typical but it cost about $20.00 more than the other local service businesses. I needed to have registration check and emissions but their person was not there so just had the tires done and the oil. I'm annoyed that they charged $20 more for an oil change but the big thing is they came out with an estimate of work that had to be done before the car would pass inspection. The total estimate was for the unneeded Radiator Coolant Drain and Fill AND Suspension Shock Absorber / Suspension Strut / 2 Shock & Strut Assembly and an additonal $99.99 for a wheel alignment. Total Bill Estimate? $1705.60 with replacement parts, not originals. Today, I had my car inspected and emisisons tested - PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS. Hmmmmm, I wonder what NTB owner will say about that. The person helping me at NTB said the car wouldn't pass without these services. The station that inspected my car today assured me that none of these services are needed. I can't wait to get in touch with the owner. read more

Parts on Amazon/EBay would have been around $50 for just 4 ignition coils plus a pack of spark plugs. No way this job could be $508. Later brought my car for a leaking tire. Went to NTB Baron Cameron Avenue in Reston. It was very busy at the store on a Saturday afternoon and many customers were clamoring for their cars to be done. The manager, Kevin was unfailingly polite to all in person and telephone customers, some of whom were less so. My particular problem was due to rusted bolts on the license plate bracket. Kevin himself spent considerable time trying to get all the bolts off. It was not easy and thanks to his expertise and patience, he was eventually successful. Got new tires installed here back in 2021 -- the person who helped me (Ziya Hakimi? He is the one listed as the opening and closing sales associate on the final bill) was careless and negligent during the process, got my name wrong, got my address wrong which resulted in me never getting the rebate offer from Michelin that I qualified for. Partially my fault also I suppose, I should have double checked everything -- but I think I had been asked for my license so such a mistake should not have occurred regardless. Also, did not give me the full details about some additional items that I purchased -- Road Hazard Warranty is not for the full life of the tires, but only for the first three years. I should have confirmed also, but still. Luckily, I was able to get my flat repaired at the Chantilly location where I plan to return to for any related work that I need to get done. read more
