AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I got to come here for my birthday and it was amazing. Everything here is definitely on the pricier side but the quality you get won't leave you disappointed! (Plus you will be filled). We also got the beef tartare and it was great quality and the snow pear was super fresh and sweet, making the dish refreshing. All the meats were cooked perfectly and the seatings are surrounded by the grill so you could watch them cook in front of you. We also mentioned it was my birthday and they offered us free wine!
Had such a great experience at Nubiani! The quality of the meat was amazing--you can really taste how fresh and clean everything was. Every cut was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It didn't feel heavy or greasy at all, which made the whole meal even more enjoyable. The service was also fantastic. The staff was friendly, attentive, and kept an eye on the grill so everything was cooked perfectly. The banchan was fresh and paired really well with the meat. And don't skip dessert! The ice cream at the end was SO good and was the perfect way to finish the meal. It was such a refreshing treat after all the BBQ. Definitely on the pricier side, but the quality of the food, service, and overall experience made it worth it. Great ambiance!
Came here for an early Saturday dinner and had such an incredible time. The service is amazing, quick, and the inside is beautifully decorated with plenty of space between each table. For a group of 5, we got the beef large package and short ribs and it was more than enough meat. I really appreciate that they cook the meat for you and everything was cooked to perfection. Every cut was delicious and had the perfect amount of variety. We also got the shrimp chive pancake which was one of my favorite dishes of the day, kimchi stew which was so comforting and spicy cold buckwheat noodles which were so refreshing on a hot day. Really appreciate the free ice cream at the end of the meal and would absolutely come back!
We loved our experience at Nubiani. This is classic KBBQ. The accoutrement and the mains were all amazing. Our favorite was the marinated short rib, but everything was phenomenal. The service was noticeably great, too. Everything had just the right spice level, and it was a really outstanding meal. Would absolutely recommend and return!
This was a nice splurge lunch. Nubiani is inside a business building and oversees the corner of 32nd street... through its high windows. What a view. The decor is modern and clean. Like feels more upscale than your regular KBBQ spots. Made a reservation bc someone told me it can get quite pack. However, we went on a Thursday and notice it wasn't pack. Service was great, just like a good KBBQ spot, they will cook for you table-side, bring you all the yummy ban chan! We opted for the lunch BBQ with spicy pork. It was delicious and we left super full! The sides were also very good - the kimchi was delicious! It's the aged version and comes with a tofu stew. We got greedy and ordered a pancake... ugh, it was not needed! But it was so so good tho. It was definitely more food than we could eat for lunch... but we managed to eat 80% of our food. A splurge lunch, bc the price tag is a little higher than your average KBBQ. Enjoy!
I wish I came with more people, I think that would have changed my experience. We ordered the beef small set, and it was way too much food for the two of us. You could definitely taste the meat quality. However, I didn't really enjoy the ribeye, so next time I would maybe try the short ribs. I also really didn't like that they would take away our banchan before we were done with them. We left with quite a bit of leftovers, which was nice, but overall a pretty mid experience.
What a nice kbbq experience!! I rlly liked the shrimp & chive pancake bc it wasn't super heavy and not full of batter like other places. Pretty light and crispy with a lot of shrimp and chives. Skirt steak was my fav, very tender and so much authentic flavor. Boneless short rib tasted like wagyu, very marbled and fatty and almost melts in your mouth. Honorable mention to the steamed egg that the meal comes with. Super fluffy and sweet!! They cook the meat for you and service is rlly good, they're super attentive when side dishes run low. Definitely will need a reservation! They offer 10% discount if you bring cash. Will be coming back again :)
Came here again yesterday. This time for lunch. Party of 4 and we ordered the large beef package, japchae and black cod. We were stuffed. Take the tiny elevator up in the old office building and you're immediately transported to a much classier restaurant than you'd expect. Service was great. This is one of the spots that cooks and serves you and our server was pleasant/ professional. Refills for banchan etc. came without asking. They let us know that their fluffy eggs etc were bottomless with our meal. Roughly $100/PP. Bring cash! They have a nice 10% cash discount.
Quality of the meats is great, though not the best I've had. We did the small beef combo and the wagyu add-on, and it was A LOT of food between the two of us. Wouldn't do the wagyu add-on next time. Was fatty and nicely marbled, but the ny strip had some tendon in it, which is disappointing for A5. Also, thought it was odd that they started with the wagyu rather than leaving it for the end so that it doesn't cast a shadow on the rest of the meat. The skirt steak in the beef combo was tough, but the rest were tender and nicely marinated. The banchan and the kimchi jjigae that came with the combo were spectacular. Service was solid, gave us space to talk and checked in on us, but nothing too special. In all, the food was great and ambiance was perfect, but knocking down a star considering it was $170 per person after tip and tax. Coming from LA, I am a pretty tough critic since I'm comparing this to LA ktown where you can get even better for $50-70. However, this still counts as a standout in NYC.
My new favorite galbi house in ktown! It's on the pricier side, but the meat is high quality and everything is so clean/fresh! Atmosphere is super chic (funny it used to be the old "third floor") and the servers were very attentive. Portions were just the right size- we ordered the large beef for four adults/one child with side of cold noodles. Loved the wasabi and salt combination as sides. The only thing was that the noodle broth was a bit in the vinegary side, but the yogurt at the end balanced it out nicely. What a treat!
A high end Korean bbq in the city that does the job of a) quality ingredients and high end service with traditional feel and taste, and b) elevated dining without the smokiness you can get at k bbq. Felt there was enough food and good variety. Was there for my daughter's birthday. I would recommend highly.
The food was pretty good. The meat was good quality and they gave good side dishes including ice cream in the end, which was a surprise. Service was solid. However, I felt pretty uncomfortable that the staff wanted to kick us out at exactly 90-minute mark. I know many restaurants do this now and this was on the reservation page too, but it's just absurd to limit how long guests can have a meal after 20% minimum tipping. The restaurant was nicely decorated but they mostly just had high tops if you just have two people. I wouldn't come back to a restaurant that kicks out guests at 90 minutes.
Nubiani was my most luxurious BBQ dinner experience I've ever had by far! The entrance is through a stairway or elevator, but once you enter, the setting changes into an intimate area and glass walls of the building reveal the city buildings, which is so pretty at night! You experience the full-service cooking from the staff so you can enjoy your meal without worrying about burning your kbbq. The meat quality of our Large Beef Package was standard but since it was cooked and served to us, we enjoyed everything they way it's supposed to be served. Ordering a Beef Package or one meat item per person is quite a lot per person, though. We were extremely full by the end of our meal, and could've opted for less portions. The beef package comes with different types of short ribs and skirt steak. I believe we added brisket as we had a party of six. We had a kimchi stew and fluffy steamed egg for the sides. Green onion salad, bean sprout kimchi, and other pickled vegetables are served to enjoy with the meats. I also liked that they had fresh wasabi, which went really well with all the beef cuts. Attentiveness and attention to detail were the standouts for Nubiani. It is ideal for big parties, and the ambience is by far one of the nicest I've come across in terms of location. It was a great experience, and I'd recommend this if you're looking for more than your casual kbbq experience.

Nubiani is a contemporary and luxurious KBBQ restaurant! The inside is very sleek and there is a classy ambiance. My friends and I got the Large Beef Package and I was super impressed with the quality of the beef! I usually prefer pork at KBBQ so I was a bit hesitant to get beef, but the beef cuts were very good. I only added salt to my cuts of beef and that was enough to satisfy me, which is also saying something as I usually like dipping meat into difference sauces. The Steamed Egg was also very fluffy, which was enjoyable to eat! Our server was really helpful and took time to tell us about each of the cuts, which made this dining experience even better. read more

Beautiful interior and well designed. Nubiani's Midtown East location is much sleeker than their KTown location although prices are thankfully the same with hearty portions and quick, efficient service. We opted for the small beef package ($145) which was more than enough for two people and selected the boneless short ribs which were delicious and well-cooked. You're presented with a beautifully laid tray of meat before it's whisked away to be prepared and I appreciate that they observe your eating pace to determine when to cook the next set of dishes. One minor note which I thought odd was that none of the waiters will pour you drinks - which I have to assume is an intentional choice. Presumably due to Korean culture (diners will serve the eldest themselves perhaps?) but was a minor inconvenience. The buckwheat noodles are a great way to cut through the heaviness of the meat, and the ice cream at the end was cool and refreshing! read more
Nubiani is truly the epitome of luxury, with its contemporary, moody atmosphere and high-quality meats. You'll experience the holy trinity of a great dining experience: arriving hungry, indulging sumptuously, and leaving uncomfortably full. Split between us three, we ordered a small beef package and added marinated short rib, which turned out to be plenty for us to feel stuffed. The meats are incredible and simply mouthwatering, but what truly elevates the experience is Nubiani's attention to detail. Every banchan isn't your typical cheap fish cake but rather sides like mashed sweet potato and grilled mushrooms which require more care in the kitchen. The steamed egg is also a hidden gem and one of the best I've had. It's custard-like but still manages to retain a fluffy texture with the quintessential impressive inflated top. The soybean paste stew is also earthy and packed with vegetables and rich soybean chunks. The cherry on top is the comp yuzu soft serve dished out at the end. I'm a die-hard soft serve (no, not ice cream) fan, and theirs is among the best I've had. It's mind-boggling that it's free 99 as I'd actively charge patrons for something as crazy good as this. The servers are also very kind, warming up hot tea to help soothe our stomachs and refilling our banchan without our request even. I can see why people rank this bbq spot (even above the Michelin-awarded Cote) as #1 in the city. read more

RIP the posh side of Soju Haus. Sigh. So many drunken memories were made here. Enter Nubiani, a decent upscale KBBQ spot in a neighborhood....saturated by upscale KBBQ spots. What makes Nubiani stand out from the rest? I'm not sure. Did I love my meal? Eh...."love" is such a strong word. The Squid and Beef Pancake was probably the most unique dish, as it was actually a plate of half squid, half beef omelettes. For the actual 'cue, we got the Beef Package and tacked on extra pork belly. The meats were all done pretty well, with the rib eye being the driest/worst and the seasoned short ribs being the juiciest/best. The extra pork belly was a bit too overcooked--I could've done without it. The accompanying Soybean Paste Stew that came with our package was wayyyyy too salty. Like someone accidentally dropped a shaker in it or something. I had to eat it with white rice, and even then, I stopped after a few bites in consideration of my precious kidneys. On the other hand, the Perilla Oil Buckwheat Noodles were strands of cold, greasy, flavorless nothing. Blech! I will give them points for complimentary vanilla soft serve accompanied by a lovely, zesty orange syrup/marmalade. That hit the spot more than any other part of our meal. read more
They have a lunch combo special but the waiter recommended for 4 of us to order a beef package which included different cuts of beef, banchan, egg soufflé, rice and a soup and an awesome soft ice cream! They grilled the meats for us. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going again. read more
One of the best kbbqs I've had in a while! We ordered the small beef set and the beef tartare for the two of us-- the portion sizes were super big and we barely finished! The short ribs and marinated short ribs were fantastic-- super juicy and not too chewy. The beef tartare was also fantastic-- it wasn't too heavily seasoned, so you could enjoy the taste of the meat. The side dishes were also really yummy. Service was exemplary and the ambiance was very classy and modern. This is definitely the kbbq spot to come when you're bringing your parents or want to have good Korean food for date night! read more

We ordered the small beef package and the meats were delicious but they overcooked them a little more than we prefer. The last meat was the star of the show though since it was so soft and buttery. You eat it with the egg and it really enhances the flavor. They had two side dishes which were really unique, the sweet potato and tofu which I've never had at other kbbq places before. The egg soufflé was so beautiful and delicious and lived up to the hype I saw in photos. Service was great but I also sat at the counter so there were waiters there all the time. And one thing I noticed was that the vents are built into the grill, so there are no vents hanging down from the ceiling which I think really escalated the elegant ambiance here. read more
TLDR: Average Korean bbq. Not to die for, definitely overhyped. Plenty of other spots in the surrounding area to pick from. Prob not the best first date spot since there will always be someone cooking at your table so convos may not be as fluid. ***FOOD*** Large beef platter: great for a large group (we had 5 people). Everything was cooked perfectly. Recommend Grilled cod: nothing special about it, can avoid. Shrimp chive pancake: a great crisp and generous with the shrimp. MUST ORDER. Mushroom Kettle hot pot rice: there is a VERY pungent mushroom flavor so be wary if you cannot handle. Rice was very mushy (I read hot pot rice and expect some crisp) can avoid. *** THE EXPERIENCE*** Came here for my parents' anniversary dinner after reading a lot of reviews and had high expectations. Located in the heart of NYC Ktown, it definitely had a very high standard to meet already. Upon entering, we were told that we did not have a reservation and had to wait. Shortly after being told to wait on the side, another large group of 6 came in and was immeditat seated at a large table. After we went up to inquire, they found our reservation but since another large group was seated, we had to wait another 25 minutes. Okay, not off to the best start.... Upon being seated, the banchan was brought out and it was great. Servers took our order without a notepad (impressive right?). We order 2 appetizers, large meat package, pork belly and one rice dish along with drinks. Everything was brought out in quick succession. The server was extremely attentive to the beef and everything was cooked to a nice medium rare. Despite confirming our order twice, our order of pork belly was never put into their system. read more

Food: my mother from Korea once said this place is better than some of the BBQ place in Korea, and I agree. Top quality meat, i grew up in LA with FULL OF KOREAN BBQ places but easily this place is my number one. Service: very good- the waiter grills the meat for you and plays a decent job of distributing and making sure the meat is in prime state for consumption. Always refill side dishes even without asking for more Ambiance: fancy type of KBBQ, good for business dinner and good for just a good time with friends and family. The interior is more elegant than some of other BBQ places in Koreatown. I took my non-Korean friends here and they have been obsessing over this place for a while so its a must-go for the best KBBQ experience in NYC read more
Food was very yummy. I came with a party of 4 and ordered small beef combo, mushroom rice, kimchi stew, and cod. Highlight of the food was the cod, it was cooked perfectly and marinated well. The meat was also great and cooked for us with great sides. I recommend getting the cod for sure and short rib! read more
Nubiani is more of an upscale KBBQ spot, and perhaps best for special occasion celebrations. I came for a catch up dinner with my bestie, since we've had Nubiani bookmarked for the longest time. We came for more of a casual dinner, and we were seated at the bar with other pairs. Between the 2 of us, we decided on the small beef package ($145), which comes with boneless short ribs, skirt steak, rib finger, and seasoned short ribs. The combo also came with a steamed egg and kimchi stew. We also added on a spicy buckwheat noodle ($18). All of the food was REALLY tasty, and the small combo can easily feed 3. I loved the spicy buckwheat noodle, which is elevated with the addition of vinegar and mustard. Kimchi stew here had the perfect sourness to help cut through some of the meats. Meat quality and flavors were superb. I also really loved the oyster kimchi that came with the banchan; we refilled this twice! Service is really attentive, and they paced the meats well. We were slowing down and struggling a bit towards the end, but we never felt rushed. Towards the end of our meal, one of the staff members let us know that they provide complimentary dessert! This was a vanilla soft serve with a yuzu/citron topping, but it was SO delicious. It tasted almost like an orange creamsicle but with a yuzu twist. What I did find to be a bit shocking (and almost a little ridiculous to be quite honest) was that the corkage fee here is $100. The bottle of wine I wanted to bring was only $30 itself! But overall, great KBBQ spot that's a bit on the pricier/fancier end. read more
Fun KBBQ spot it skews a little more upscale. Nubiani is fairly "clubby" with a large dining room and loud music. The sets of banchan we received were good and the quality of meat was great. Is this place as good as Cote or some of the other higher-end KBBQ spots? I'm not sure. I think the experience is authentically more Korean here than say, Cote, but I thought the service was a touch below. Food is probably a toss-up. With that being said, I still wouldn't hesitate to come back. read more

The beef tartare was really tender, creamy from the egg yolk, and was not too heavy. The beef set did not look like too much food, but it was perfect for 3 people. The service here is top-notch. Everyone paid attention and the meat was cooked perfectly. I also really enjoyed the Korean steamed egg as it was savory, light, and not overcooked. The price is fair for the service and food quality. There was also surprise ice cream at the end, which was creamy and perfect for topping off the meal. Came here on a Friday night with reservation and it was quite busy. There was table service for the bbq but it felt extremely rushed, so I was not able to carefully savor the food. At some point, I had 3 different cuts of cooked meat in my plate and there continued to be more cooking on the grill. I would appreciate it if the cooking speed can be similar to the people's eating speed so that everyone can enjoy the meat freshly grilled and warm. Due to that, I felt like the meats were just okay. I wasn't particularly impressed by any of them, perhaps because they were no longer freshly cooked by the time I ate them. The banchan were okay. Egg was pretty good. The one redeeming factor of this place is that they were very diligently replacing the banchans. I really hope that this place can feel less rushed, because it greatly affected my experience. read more

Nubiani is one of the classiest KBBQ restaurants that I've visited, from the interior design to the impeccable service. Everyone on staff was so friendly and attentive, taking care of the little details such as shielding the drinks while pouring (to prevent splashes). We ordered from their beef options, and the quality of the meat was great. The staff grills it for you, which makes it an easy and comfortable dining experience. The meal also came with beautifully presented sides such as steamed eggs, lettuce for wraps, and spicy green onion salad. At first I was iffy about having KBBQ for lunch, but was surprised to see how busy the restaurant was. Be sure to make reservations before you go! read more
Made reservations on resy for dinner for 2 a week prior and was able to get a 5pm spot sunday. (530-8pm was no longer available) We were seated at the bar area and service was 5 stars. The waiters were incredibly attentive and cooked everything for you. Instead of opting for one of the bbq packages, we decided to order the meats individually since my husband wanted to try the marinated short ribs and it wasn't on the small beef package. We initially wanted to order 2 different beef and 2 pork meats, but the waitress kindly reminded us it was probably too much food for 2 people, and after thinking for a couple seconds, I completely agree with her. I've been too used to going to AYCE spots and forget that these plates can be quite a lot of food if not at an AYCE. So we dropped the pork belly and opted for an order of marinated short ribs, rib eye, and a pork jowl. Banchan comes free and came with several different things. They were all decent. They have the scallion salad so complement the meats with as well as lettuce for your wraps. Free egg souffle as well, and it was huge and overflowing. Rib eye- nice and thick piece of steak. Cooked perfectly at medium rare for my husband, and couple pieces were more cooked for me since I was pregnant. It was good. Pork jowl- thick pieces as well which cooked nicely. They were nice and crunchy. I usually prefer pork over beef for K-Bbq so this was probably one of my favorite meats. Marinated beef short ribs- so tender and flavorful. Sadly I was already too full from the first 2 meats so couldn't eat too much of this. This was my husband's favorite. Kimchi soup- flavorful Cold Buckwheat noodles- good as well and it was a nice refreshing complement to all the meats. We ordered way too much food than we could handle so we had alot of leftover noodles and some meats which they packed for us in to go containers. They gave us complementary ice cream topped with a citrus sauce which was pretty good. Overall I had a good experience but looking back, we probably should've ordered a small meat package and then added an individual order of a different meat or something just to get a little more variety. read more

I came here with a party of 5 on a weekday for dinner. Great ambient lighting, definitely gives off a sophisticated vibe. Service here was good! We had someone cooking and serving us. They were also very attentive. We ordered the large beef package for the 5 of us. While it didn't look much at first, we were all pretty filled at the end of the meal! The quality of meat was on point. The drinks (soju) definitely was on the steeper cost side, but other than that, I had a decent experience! read more
This was our friend's favorite KBBQ place in the city! Naturally when friends were visiting from out of the area, we brought them here for lunch. Reading the reviews, it's a shame to hear of the bad service. Thankfully, we had incredible service - I will note that our reservation was at 1:45pm on a Saturday. I wonder if it is worth visiting here at an off peak time. We never felt rushed - in fact, we stayed until 3pm, having a good time, and we were the ones to ask for the check after finishing all our food. I am not a big meat eater (i know, you're probably thinking what the heck why did you come here???), but all my friends reported that the meat was delicious. I ordered the mushroom rice bowl and nommed away on all the side dishes, which were great. I did appreciate the service, as they keep a careful eye on your table if you need refills of anything. Rhe mushroom rice bowl was pretty good. Because of the hot bowl, the rice gets crunchy at the bottom which gives it great consistency. There are TONS of mushrooms. Given it is a mushroom bowl, I am not complaining but I'd say it was more mushroom than rice. It is probably more fit to be a dish that is shared amongst the group rather than one person to have as an entree. In case you are vegetarian/non-meat eater that comes here, there are a few options you can order from, so rest assured. The fluffy egg was really delish, and they do (complimentary) refills on that as well! We did enjoy our experience here, and it definitely is optimal to come here as a big group, to split meat platters amongst several people, which adds up quickly. read more

The food at Nubiani was great but I was blown away by their service! We had a reservation for a Monday night at 8:30pm and was seated promptly. The inside is modern, beautiful, and sleek, and I really liked the big windows that you can see the street from. We ordered the steak tartare, the perilla oil buckwheat noodles, and the small beef package. As a party of three, we were stuffed at the end. The beef tartare was fresh and paired nicely with the Korean pear that came with it. I liked that it wasn't doused with seasoning so that you can still taste the meat. The perilla oil noodles were really interesting and very taste-I loved how refreshing it tasted and I also enjoyed the sesame sauce it came with. I will say that the quality of the meat is great but not the absolute best. But it was definitely still tasty! I think I liked the marinated short ribs the best. The side dishes that came were also super tasty-I really liked the sweet potato dish, the egg souffle, and the bean sprouts. The kimchi stew that came was very flavorful and packed with a lot of meat and kimchi. Oh and there's also soft serve at the end as well. Now onto the service-our server Michelle was absolutely amazing. She basically anticipated all of our requests without us needing to ask her. She split the soup for us into three separate bowls when she saw that we were too busy eating the meats. I also finished the sweet potato side dish pretty early and asked her if I could get a refill and she told me that she had already put in an order for it before I had even asked! This happened with the egg souffle and some other side dishes too. She also automatically refilled my wasabi before I even noticed it was out. Finally, the moment that truly stunned me was when my friend dropped his chopsticks-she wasn't even at our table, but 10 seconds later she brought a pair of replacement chopsticks without us even asking. The attentiveness that she had was outstanding. All in all, Nubiani is a great place and I look forward to returning again when I'm in the mood for some elevated kbbq! This may be one of my favorite dining experiences in NYC! Love the tableside service. (I swear no matter how often I go to kbbq, I always think I'm doing something wrong, so I'm glad someone can walk me through each cut and make recommendations). Meat quality was fantasticcc and the banchan? *chefs kiss* some of my favs! LOVED the steamed egg, crab salad, and scallions. But the seafood pancake was suchhh a hit too. To end with a light citrus ice cream was perfection! Super sleek and cool interior. So happy we could make reservations pretty easily here. I really wanted to like this place but for the price and the service, this place did not meet expectations. I felt very rushed, even with reservations made at 8:30pm, and the service was just meh. Heads up to people that don't like spicy food, the side dishes can get spicy and the soy bean paste soup was also spicy, I wish I was notified but I was not. We were seated relatively quickly and I ordered the small beef package. The food came so quick, the same time as the side dishes, and the waiter started cooking right away. I honestly felt like I was rushed out of there, from the minute I ordered. There's a side dish with onions that I asked one of the waiters how to eat it, to which he responded, however I wanted. I used to live in the San Gabriel Valley (the food - iykyk) and have had amazing Korean food. I can say confidently - this is without a doubt the best Korean restaurant I have ever eaten at. One of the best KBBQ spots in ktown! It is def more upscale than an AYCE and the quality of meat is superior. The staff were very quick in bringing out the meats and cooked them to perfection. No need to cook on your own! We had a party of 5 and we were all pretty content with the amount of food we ordered. We didn't feel hungry afterwards but wasn't stuffed either. For dessert, we had ice cream and it was a perfect end to the dinner. Will definitely come back! It is very spacious and very modern looking. Everyone must go at least once. read more

great service! and the meat is good but some could be better we got the beef pack + marinated pork. i think the beef was pretty good quality & i really liked the short rib. the pork was not that great (i've had better) so i think getting the beef pack instead of the pork was a good idea. the sides were just okay i thought the egg soufflé was pretty impressive but i don't like eggs thattt much so i got tired of it after a while. the soybean paste stew was ok i think i would've preferred the kimchi stew but the ice cream at the end was rlly refreshing tho loved the yuzu read more
I think I like cote better but the meats were pretty good. The shrimp and chives pancake were to die for. The steamed egg was also super yummy. I wouldn't get the cold noodles again though. We got the Nubiani package, total came out to $360 for 3. I would go again and order a smaller portion. We ended up taking leftovers home. read more

Absolutely love this place! Is an elevated kbbq experience that I think is so worth. We were seated at a bar table and the service is amazing. The waiters cook everything for you and are very attentive to how fast or slow you eat too so the meat doesn't get cold before you're ready. The space is nice with dim lighting and dark walls which make for the perfect date night ambiance. I also did not feel like there were any strong bbq fumes that you sometimes get at other bbq spots. They provide so many delicious side dishes such as soufflé egg as well as lettuce to make wraps with. We ordered the small beef platter for two people and we were stuffed at the end. Ended the night off with a delicious soft serve as well. Highly recommend this place!! Note that there is a discount when you pay with cash. read more

Now that I don't have the superior digestive tract of a college student and I also gain weight way more easily, the typical all you can eat Korean BBQ restaurants just don't appeal to me at all anymore. I seek quality over quantity and it was only in the last few years that I realize how superior KBBQ can be if it's ala carte style. Nubiani is no exception as they provide some of the finest (and fattiest) cuts of mouthwatering meat in a set meal. Ideally, you'd come with at least a few friends as this style of eating is more on the sharing side. Even better is that the restaurant has people cook the meat for you perfectly right in front of you so that you don't have to. While the price is high, the set comes with everything typically associated with KBBQ - you get the unlimited sides, tofu soups, their famous souffle, rice, dipping sides, and finally soft serve ice cream. Everything was super delicious and honestly I would even venture to say this was a good deal as there was a lot of food. You have to make reservations in advance, but Nubiani is definitely worth a try. read more

Dined here with a party of 3 for an early dinner reservation. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful with a cold modern vibe. You also have a view of ktown if you sit by the windows. We ordered the small beef package, and at first glance it did not look like a lot of food but we were fooled. The meats are very rich and fatty and with all the banchan included you can get stuffed pretty easily. We also ordered the seafood pancake which was crispy and delicious. Our waiter cooked our food for us so we didn't have to do anything. The cons I have is that I found some of the beef to be very chewy which made it harder to eat and there was no flavor on the beef aside from the sauces they provided. The reservation time is very strict and you will be "politely" asked to leave so that they can make room for the next reservation, by handing you the check before you ask for it and informing you that you have 15 minutes left in your reservation, so that feeling was not pleasant especially when you are eating large quantities of food that require individual cooking times for all the meat you really are going to cut it close unless you can consume your food fast. Another con was the selection of alcoholic beverages. There is no cocktail list only sake and wine and beer so it is a limited menu. To end the meal we were given a soft serve with a yuzu marmalade and it was delicious (had to take it to go). Overall I enjoyed the banchan the seafood pancake the soft serve and some of the meat choices but I would refrain from ordering too much food that would cause you to feel rushed for your reserved dining time. read more

For a group of 4 people, does the restaurant require you to order a large meat package or a meat dish per person or can we order a small meat package and some non meat dishes? (Not everyone in our group are big meat eaters)
No, it's all a la carte so they don't track by person.
When you go make a reservation it says counter table. Does that mean you have to sit on a high chair not facing your partner?
So the term counter here is kinda deceptive, it's not like a bar counter, it's their table with the grill essentially. You will be sitting at a waist high table with seating on both sides so you can sit across from your partner if you prefer.
Good for kids.?
If your kids like to eat, yes. It's fancier and it takes time to enjoy. My kids are 10+ and they loved it
Is there music / are there speakers in the restaurant?
Yes to both! It can be pretty loud most nights like any other Korean bbq spot.
Do they have tables for four or are all tables communal?
They do! The communal type seating is only on the left side (from entrance) of the restaurant and back bar area. All other tables can accommodate 4 or more
