I found Nucell Skin MedSpa actually on Groupon and Groupon deals sometimes feels like you're not getting the most out of it since it's a good deal but this wasn't the case at all! I called in last minute for a touch up of my Masseters for my TMJ and Fiona was able to squeeze me in that afternoon. She was so friendly and listened to all my concerns. I had a very bizarre experience at Nucell. (Ive done masseter botox elsewhere for context) First off, there are no pre or post care instruction and no medical questions. Nothing except a liability waiver. I was taken to the back near a dirty sink where bloody alcohol wipes were still sitting from the previous client. The nurse tells me 50 units is not enough immediately as i sit. I tell her ive done it before 15 on one side and 20 on the other (my previous nurse took her time and understood my needs and noticed one side being stronger than the other). She said ok , disappeared for a while and comes back full syringe in hand. Its very important to see your nurse unseal sterile equipment and draw from the vile in front of you. I was very weary and uncomfortable at this point but i decided to trust the establishment. She had me clench once and went straight in, 25 on the right and 25 on the left. When doing masseter botox nurses poke you at least 3 times on each side. This was an extremely uncomfortable experience and i feel its important the owner improves their practice. I love the way registered nurse Fiona Was very careful in explaining the procedure of the lip plumping injections I was really scared and nervous but Fiona argued me that she would do 2 types of knumbing in order for me to feel nothing first applied white knumbing cream and left this on for 30 minutes cover with a small piece of suran wrap light strip moving forward she gave me 4 knumbing. Injections those were light stings Then shortly after she began her lip injections. I saw results just after the one appt but i will finish the series i bought. You claim you explained the process and that I signed a consent form, but nowhere did I consent to you working on areas that were never agreed to, including between and around my eyebrows where there was nothing to treat. I had a very disappointing experience with your staff. I originally scheduled an appointment for laser services and was told it would be complimentary because I referred my girlfriend as a new customer. Later, I was informed it would no longer be free since she didn't end up receiving the planned service--which I completely understood. Despite that, I still decided to proceed and booked an appointment at a mutually agreed-upon time. I got a Groupon for a half syringe of lip filler at NuCell Skin MedSpa because I knew I didn't want a full syringe and most places won't charge you just for half. I had filler in my lips years ago but was wanting to do it again, due to thinning from age, and some asymmetry of my top lip. I was SO so nervous, though; I almost didn't go through with it. I was afraid it would be too noticeable, afraid of lots of bruising and swelling, afraid it just wouldn't look good. And honestly, I was thinking with such a great price maybe this med spa or injector is not very good and that's why the low price...But happy to say that Fiona was great. She used numbing cream beforehand, which helped. It still is not the most pleasant experience, but not horrible, and very quick. She listened to what I wanted in terms of shape, etc. I had brought a small ice pack with me, and held that to my lips all the way home, and after I arrived home. Probably at least an hour. I think that really helped. I had a small amount of swelling and a few small spots of bruising, but not bad, and not super noticeable with lipstick/gloss on. And I am VERY happy with the results! Plumped up JUST enough, and the asymmetry is evened out. I would definitely return to NuCell and Fiona to get my lips done again! read more
