Ok tried out this new buffet. We only went there because Peter piper was packed due to a huge bday party. This place is in the old claim jumper restaurant which is pretty huge. Got there and the hostess had trouble finding us a seat. It was PACKED!! There is ALOT of different foods here!! I think there were like 6 buffet tables, two salad/fruit tables, plus a sushi table, plus a Mongolian bbq area. The food was decent too. Got to sample plenty of things. Service was fast. They were always there to take away plates or refill drinks. I'm recommending this place. Nicer than Lin's with more options. Lunch prices weren't bad. I think it was like 12-13. I not a fan of buffets but my parents wanted to meet here for dinner with their friends. So here we go! It was a little crazy, you need to get your # at the front desk for your ppl and table. We had 6 adults and it was only a 15 minutes. When they call your #, you go pay and they already have a service charge of 12%. They can charge you for anything else besides water. Our table was just wiped off, still wet. They put down all the napkins and all your utensils on the table. Then you are off on your mission to find food you like. They are a sushi station, cold food station, soups, appetizers, dim sum, seafood, fish, noodles, rice, pizza, roast beef, etc. Their desserts were not as desirable on the selection. The food selection is plenty, but the taste was just ok. You can get full on ok food. The service was fast and friendly. I enjoyed my visit to the number one buffet. There was a large variety of food and it was all very tasty.

So this is my families second time coming here.. and even with a huge crowd congregating at the front and inside waiting to get seated.. the wait is worth it, knowing that we will have regular rotations of food coming never ending. With 3 growing boys and my spouse who can eat, it's worth the value. We come here particularly for the seafood! The crawfish is in season and cooked to perfection and the crab legs are mandatory. This building used to be the old Claim Jumpers and still has the deer antler chandeliers and inside is clean and classy. A small minor issue happened where I almost slipped on the buffet line. Thank God I didn't but aside from the floors at that time. I walked back and it no longer was slippery. The service is great here and they manage to host huge groups here with no problem. Came to celebrate for my mothers birthday and as she was walking to grab a plate she was cut by this sharp edge when she told staff about it she was laughed at and they proceeded to speak in a different language , I asked to speak to a manger and was told they weren't available I tried to voice my concerns , what would've happened if it were a child who got hurt would they still make a laughing stock out the situation ?! This place is packed, when we came. Long line outside. But since we have a small party we were called in after 15 mins of waiting. The place looked new and clean. They have a big selection of food and I really think they have a really decent price for the variety of food they have. This is the biggest lay out of food I have seen here in Arizona. It had been quite some time since I had been to a buffet, heard this opened up and decided to try. This is an Asian food buffet. They have a fresh sushi station, a habachi station, salads, fruits, desserts, soups, they got it all. The food was okay, it wasn't like delicious but it was decent. If you've ever been to Lynn's this comparable to them except this is a bigger location and newer. Staff was friendly, they sit you down and you pay at the end. This is definitely a huge Asian buffet at a very reasonable price. We came on a Sunday around 12 and it was about 25-30 min and they have a speaker which they announce your number over a PA system. Decently clean, and a very large array of food. All the cooked food was great with plenty of the classics. Sashimi tasted fresh and a large array of sushi choices too. Our 40-minute drive here was definitely worth it. Great selection of Japanese, Chinese, and American Chinese dishes. There were western options like pizza and chicken nuggets ad well. Although I'm not a big seafood person, the selection and availability of crab and shrimp were impressive. The quality of nigiri and sashimi was much better than expected. I'd say the food here is good. Better than other buffets in town. BUT the service is absolutely horrible and their pricing is pretty scammy. They charge an extra 15% "service charge" that the ladies at the counter said was for tip. But it doesn't say tip, so you still tip unless you ask what the fee was for. read more

They now have you pay as you enter, and they add a 12 % surcharge. When I asked at the table what the surcharge was for, she stated "Tip". Why are we being forced to tip. She then stated there is a sign up front stating they have a surcharge. As I was leaving I glanced around the register area and didn't see any signs anywhere stating they are charging a 12% surcharge. I think that's pretty shady of them. So far this is one of our favorite buffets in the valley! I'm a huge fan of the location, and food set up. I get something a little different every time, and there's been something for everyone every time I go here. My mom's vegetarian and she did not have an issue finding foods she enjoyed, and my carnivore dad loved all the options for both meats and seafoods. At first I was disappointed to find out CJ closed because I also like them, but wow was this place impressive. There was a huge selection of food and everything was fresh. If you have read any of my other reviews, you know that is one of my gauges to rate service because I naturally drink a lot. I had two full plates of food and one dessert plate. Lunch pricing was fair for what was offered. Seating is not too cramped. Restaurant itself was clean. You can tell it is brand new. I would eat here again if I am ever this far from home. I do have friends in Goodyear, so maybe this'll be our new meet-up spot. I won't name the other place we normally meet up (since I'm not a big fan of it. Now I see that the owner keeps the credit card tips as the waitresses don't get the "service fee"? Pardon my language but what the funk? So excited for a new Chinese food buffet. The only problem is there is toooo much and that makes it more of a quality vs quantity situation. My son loved being able to try out so many options but I felt like I was wasting a lot too and we just don't work that way. Out of everything I tried I loved the wontons and the noodles the most.
