For years, we knew we needed a water filtration system. The hard water in our area destroyed our appliances and even our faucet heads regularly, far earlier than they should have been failing on us. Plumbers warned us that this was not just shoddy quality stuff - the water was overwhelmingly bad. That made us buy a lot of bottled water over the years as well, making us concerned about how we were affecting the environment. Having spoken to a number of water filter companies over the years, we were finally impressed with Amanda from Nuvia, who came to our house and effectively showed us the specifics of how our water could be improved with the system. The scientific explanation was helpful, as was the option to get a potassium-based system instead of a saline one since we worried about salt exposure. The installation was quick and the payment process was fast. All of the promises made were pleasantly kept throughout the process and we are loving the fresh water without going to the store and wasting more plastic bottles. The spout built right into our sink is such a welcome addition to our home. Best of all, it's economical. In addition to the reduced cost of water bottles, the improved feeling of showers and finally putting an end to abusing our appliances, Nuvia provides a supply of cleaning materials for years of coverage. These have proven to be of high quality and when I figured out savings from not buying detergent, soap and shampoo, I saw we'd quickly make our investment back. Hector the salesman for Nuvia was great. He was patient with everything because, in the beginning, I was pretty pissed off at the whole setup. He tested my water and showed me how bad the quality of it was. After I received all the information and knowledge about water and filtration, I upgraded my system to the Nuvia Pro model. It's great because it doesn't make the water slimy, there's no limescale or water spots on my shower glass door or panels, and feels really clean and soft on my skin after showering. My hands would dry up and my knuckles would crack and bleed before I had the system. Now my house is the only place I feel safe washing and cleaning. My clothes from the washer are brighter and feel so fresh compared to it before. I also love the cleaning products that they gave me. Everything is natural and there's so much I have in stock to store. I also purchased the Nuvia Clarity water filtration system for drinking and to that, I honestly had some issues in the beginning. The pressure wasn't coming out the way I would like it to. So they installed a water pump (Thanks Phil) and so far it's been great. The only issue is that my $5,000 refrigerator is supposed to pump out round craft ice balls but it's not quite round. I'm having a LG-certified technician come and check everything out. There was a lot of installation and figuring out when it came to this complicated refrigerator but hopefully, the technician can fix it. Wow, what can I say! So happy and impressed with my new Nuvia water system. We Live in Whittier California and have some of the hardest water ever. Clothes faded from the hard water all of our appliances are falling apart slowly from a hard water eating through hoses. Dry skin, dry hair. Well no more, my hair and skin are so soft. What an awful company. Experienced the same thing as many others have stated - received a "final notice of parcel on hold" that in every way looked like it was from the post office. My husband called and at no point did the person who answered state who they were or who they were working for. My husband mentioned the post card and they immediately went into scheduling an appointment and insisted they could only come when we were both home. Very sketchy, super unprofessional, and just a malicious way of advertising. Like many, I received a notice in the mail for a gift card and called the number. Found that it was not just a gift card but rather I would receive a gift card after they came out and tried to sell me something, this was not a huge surprise and I agreed. Being as I had previously had another water company out that also gave me a gift card for running the water tests I knew some of what to expect. The other company was over-promising and that really turned me off to them but not to the whole house filtration. The Nuvia rep whom came out, Joe, was very efficient and had accurate answers to my questions and did not over-commit, other than one item that I will get to shortly, and I agreed to do the purchase through him. I provided my email address to him in writing and had already provided it verbally over the phone, however I did not receive the promised gift card (and still have not as of this writing). The sub-contracted installers that were sent out initially went to the wrong location, across the street, which was a bit confusing as the sales person had no problem going to the correct address and had provided the correct numbered address to the installers; which was a red flag as far as the attention to detail the installers would have. Once we got them to the correct location I found out the first day was not going to actually be the day they installed the system but rather that they were just installing the RO system under the sink and would be back the following business day to do the system install. Not what was implied during the initial conversation but not wholly unreasonable. After the system was installed I was told that the refrigerator "ice line" could not be connected because the installers don't do that anymore. This was something that had explicitly been mentioned during the sales process and something I do value. I was left a 2.5 Gallon Jug to place in the refrigerator after filling with RO water and told to use that instead of the built in refrigerator water. It turns out that this change in process had not been communicated to the sales person which points to a failure on Nuvia's part to keep their team up to date. I made my complaint known that placing a jug of water in the refrigerator and then ice trays in the freezer uses up an unacceptable amount of space considering the refrigerator has an ice and water dispenser that were used previously and I intend to continue to use. I was then told after several back and forth conversations that the ice line would be connected. Unfortunately several days later I was then told the installers would not do it as they were uncomfortable with how the line would have to be run. As my latest attempt and meeting in the middle I have requested a written exemption so that I can have the line run by another plumber or run it myself without voiding the warranty of the existing labor and equipment. I would be responsible for my addition but everything else would remain in tact. I have yet to receive a response to this nor the gift card that was promised at the beginning of this process. [EDIT: I did eventually receive the gift card and confirmation to run the ice line myself which I did and they connected without issue. This ultimately was completed satisfactorily but took way longer than it should have.] I will update this as details change and with feedback after we have used the system for a bit longer. It has been several weeks and there are still tiny bubbles in the RO water but this is cosmetic and I am told will clear up eventually. [EDIT: After 6 months There are still microbubbles coming out of the RO system which is a nuisance but does not actually harm anything. I'm not sure if this falls on Nuvia or the partner they use for the "5 year supply of natural soaps" that they send out 1 year at a time, but someone is sorely mistaken about how much of each kind of soap a family of 4 uses. 12 Bars of oatmeal soap that last about 7 - 10 showers each does not equate to 12 months of use for 4 people. 12 (20oz?) bottles of hand soap will also not last a family of 4 12 months. 4 bars of glycerin soap, 3 months per bar with 4 people sharing 1 bar ... or is that supposed to be 1 bar per person and lasting 12 months; either way is impractical. With all of that said, I do feel that the cost is still reasonable for the end result; I just would have liked to know specifically what constituted a 1 year supply of soaps.] read more

We recently got a whole home water softener and purification system installed from Nuvia and we can't be happier. The water tastes so much better and we can already feel an improvement after showering! I never knew how big of a difference soft clean water could make. At first, when we received the postal notice in the mail I was a little sketched out. I called the number and spoke with someone over the phone. They told me they are welcoming me to the neighborhood with a complimentary water test and a $25 gift card. As soon as we met Josh, all worries went out the door. Josh did an amazing job and quite honestly he made the decision easy for us. He educated us on our water, showed us recommendations to improve the quality of it, didn't pressure us or corner us. Since we've had the system installed he has came back out to check and make sure it was working correctly. 10/10 recommend and appreciate Josh so much for all the help. read more

Got a fake attempted package delivery notice which used all of the features of USPS delivery attempt notices right down to the thick borders and fonts, called them thinking they were the local post office. Hung up when I got someone obviously at home, they called back.. offered a "$50 restaurant gift card" in exchange for letting them come over and test my water, try and sell their filtration system. Problem for them is, I'm not stupid. I read about San Diego County water quality before moving here. It's far from the best, but it isn't dangerous, and we got ourselves a Brita filter for drinking/cooking water. There is no problem with pH. It's not seawater. Then I read on Yelp (thanks guys) and saw how 99% of ads mentioning a gift card were 1 star reviews, describing the whole thing as a scam. Only those who'd bought a 'system' said they "eventually" were given some sort of discount card, not a gift card. This is a barely legal deceptive scam. Don't be gullible, don't trust the 'analysis' of someone who's only job is to sell you something. New homes should always have an inspection, water quality can be included. You can also buy your own test online, or at the hardware store, for cheap. read more

After receiving the shady package notice like everyone else, we called in and were told we would receive a $50 gift card if a salesman came out to test our water (and try to sell us the filtration unit). Joseph came out to our house and did his demo, but there was a lot of issues. He was practically reading from the binder he had, and was making false claims about chemical facts. I know chemistry very well, and questioned his claims when he tried to argue that the pH of the water was acidic (I asked him specifics, like what the specific # was), and he responded aggressively to my innocent questioning of his facts. Bottom line is, if you will be presenting people with facts, you must be prepared for people to challenge them (so you must KNOW what you are talking about, and he infact, did not). I've read the reviews people left here saying that the reps were at their home for 3+ hours, and fortunately he was only here for about 1 hour. We decided not to go through with any purchases, and this was when he became extra aggressive, and started to continue to try to pitch his product to us at different prices (to be fair, this is what a salesman is supposed to do -- but still, if we weren't buying, we weren't buying. Take a hint). What I'm most annoyed with was how he tested different waters with what appeared to be a thymol blue indicator (it was bright pink but it could've been any indicator, he was not explicit about the chemicals he was using like he should've been). He used the indicators and other chemicals, like chlorine, to demonstrate; and, upon completion of his demo proceeded to pour those things down our kitchen sink. It may be true that these things are harmless (which I doubt, because our kitchen is not equipped with the plumbing that a laboratory has), but he should have asked us or poured it outside. Bottom line is, don't pitch to us that we have chemicals, and proceed to pour chemicals down our drain! and LASTLY, we never got a gift card as promised! The guy left and didn't give us what was promised. So it was an hour -- wasted. If you will be having Nuvia visit you, ensure that you ask about what they're pouring down your sink first, and make sure you do get that gift card they promise you. read more

Kaitlin was quite impressive in her presentation. She was very thourough, coverying all the major points about our water quality and why we needed a water treatment system. She also did an excellent job at explaining out options without any high pressure tactics to get us to buy anything. We let her continue through her entire presentation, even though we were sold after the first 10 minutes, because she was so interesting. Most importantly, she worked hard to get us the system and products that met our needs and worked within our budget without trying to upsell us on things we didn't need. As far as the installatiion was concerned, it took two visits because a wrong part was given to the first instakker, but both reps were efficient, knowledgeable, and pleaseant. I would not even consider doing business with a company that employs lies and deception for their first contact. I, too, received one of their "Parcel Hold" notices in the mail after I got a loan refinanced. During the lockdown, I have received many parcels, some of which require a signature. If you are not home to accept delivery, the shipper will send a notice that they have a parcel waiting for you that was undeliverable. The card that Nuvia sends is intended to look just like such a legitimate notice. What scum bags! read more

I found out about this company and product through a letter I received in the mail after moving out to Tustin. Initially I had thought it was just for a "free water test" that the city offered to new residents, but it is actually for a water filtration system. Initially I was surprised when they came and did a demo on the tap water quality in my home, but I kept an open mind and listened through the demo. I'm glad I did. Steven (the technician who came out) did 3 tests that showed how poor the quality of the tap water quality is in the area, which is consistent with the national water quality database kept by EWG. For instance, I did not know that there was Arsenic in the water and that it's significantly higher than national averages. He was very knowledgeable and explained how this could impact my health, hair, skin, and everything in the home that uses water (e.g., appliances, clothing during wash). There was no pressure to buy the system and so I did independent research on the company to see what others had said. What I noticed is that buyers were extremely satisfied with the system. You'll notice though that others who gave the company low marks were put off by their marketing strategy. I ended up going with Nuvia and after a few days of using their system, I am so glad that I did. The water tastes just amazing and you can feel the difference. For comparison, the system produces Alkaline water (they provide the whole home water filtration system, a reverse osmosis under-sink filtration system, and a Alkaline filter), which is the type of water you can buy at Whole Foods for $4 a gallon. The installation process was very quick and professionally done. I was able to schedule an installation just 2 days after signing up. Hector came out and installed the water filtration system. He did an amazing job with the installation (see photos). He was conscientious of the placement of the home filtration system (my garage is narrow and so he did customized piping so that it went in the back of the garage) and the setup under the sink looks great! There was even extra space to keep the other home supplies. Overall, I'm super happy with Nuvia Water Technologies. The system is fairly pricey, but they offer great financing options. It's well worth it in the long run especially since water is something we all use, but don't think too much about what is really in it. This offers a peace of mind. read more

They came by and installed 2 days later and the installation tech/plumber was also great. He showed up at a good time and got right to work. The installation looks clean and extremely well done.
