It was a very basic cleaning. We paid extra for a deep cleaning service. Laundry area wasn't cleaned properly. So much dust and dirt was still there. Inside the cupboards weren't wiped properly, full of stains still remaining. It was a very sloppy job and half way done. I had to clean it all again after wasting $500. A lot of time was spent in the kitchen and the rest of the house was cleaned hastily. And kitchen wasn't even done properly either. It wasn't a professional cleaning service and having one person to do it all also was not practical. All they can offer to s $50 credit for my next booking. Charged me for cleaning the day before they cleaned. On cleaning day they vacuumed and mopped the entry hall. On the entry hall hardwood floors they left puddles of water. When I cleaned up the puddles I found the floor was still dirty. They did not dust, clean the bathrooms or perform the rest of the work they advertised doing. They did offer to come back and clean again. But given how poorly they performed on my first cleaning with this company I will not have them back. I sent the photos of all the things wrong and they refused to refund my money. I filed a complaint with the Washington State Office of Attorney General. This review is for Natasha at NW Maids. She is fantastic! We've had really hit or miss experiences with cleaning services, mostly miss. I don't feel like I ask for the moon, but I do expect for things to be clean if I'm paying for the service. We have a small place, but Natasha is the first person who really gets everything done. My husband and I happened to be home early one evening and were able to meet her. It was obvious that she takes pride in her work and I appreciate that she pays attention to what's important to each client. Not only does she make our daughter's bed, she takes a few extra minutes to set up her stuffed animals to welcome her home rather than treating them like an afterthought (see pics). Our daughter has enough (medical) challenges in her life and we appreciate these sweet touches. Unfortunately I have to give them a terrible rating because although their cleaning service was fine, the cleaners caused $1500 in accidental damage to a sliding glass door in our rental house and management was unable and unwilling to compensate us for the damage after months of telling us they would. They continually tried to pass the buck onto the cleaning team's personal insurance, then claiming "there's nothing we can do". Of course there is. I booked NW Maids for a move-out clean of my apartment. Getting a quote and booking was super easy, so I decided to book a move-in cleaning for our new place as well. The move-in cleaning had to be rescheduled but that was straightforward. The cleaner was running about 45 minutes late due to some unforeseen circumstances, but she requested that NW Maids inform me, which they did via text. I paid a premium for a "deep cleaning" as well as for the interior of my windows to be cleaned the week that my house was going on the market. I left town the day my home was supposed to be cleaned and received a text from my real estate agent the next day during staging asking if the cleaners had not come by yet. She sent a picture of the bathroom which had seemingly been completely untouched, and it was the same case with the windows I had paid extra for. She sent me a couple pictures of some of the worst areas, which included a very dirty paper towel in front of one of the windows she had just wiped. When I contacted NW Maids about a refund, they refused because I had only sent a picture of a "paper towel." They made me send a picture of every single window and space in the bathroom left uncleaned before they would issue even a partial refund. A ridiculous policy, and they were condescending throughout the process. Thank goodness for my agent who then cleaned the place herself since we were out of time at that point for them to come back and fix their numerous mistakes. I just used them for a move out deep clean and it was horrible! Do not use them. They sent ONE lady to do a deep clean on a two story 3 bedroom house. She came almost an hour late and took 6 hours and didn't even do half the job. She left dust all over. Smeared windows , the ones she did clean anyway. Also, didn't even sweep just smeared wax on floors. They were still dirty. After she left I had to sweep and mop to get up the actual dirt. Didn't clean refrigerator or vacuuming. Everything I asked to be done was NOT!! The bathroom was still scummy. I had pictures taken the next day to put my house on the market and thought this would save me a lot of time and have the house be picture perfect and it was worse than before. I have open house Sunday and I still have to clean refrigerator etc. Dont know what I paid for!! Was not worth my time and money and I suggest you go elsewhere because these guys are a ripoff!! So, I sent them pictures, timeline and everything about the bad service and said they would credit my account. I did not expect much but still thought that they would reimburse something for the fact that I'm cleaning EVERYTHING myself that I paid them for!! NW Maids have done two basic cleaning services at my place. I am very satisfied with my first experience with three Mexican cleaners, so after two months, I asked NW Maids for another basic cleaning. This time, NW Maids sent me one female Mexican cleaner. (Hope this information will let NW Maids recall who they sent to.) She didn't work hard, obviously. I asked her multiple times to mop two separate tables and she even forgot to mop one table when she's ready to take off. Look at the kitchen with such a big stink. Am I supposed to clean this with the flat rate I paid? Don't tell me I need to pay for "deep cleaning" for such a easily wipeable mark. Besides lazy work she has done, she also asked me many personal details like "are you moving out", "do you live alone?" I'm personally not offended by that. However, I'm asking for a cleaning service not a journalist to interview my personal life. Definitely a one star review for the 2nd service. BEWARE! The company is a FRAUD. They will lure you with their "easy to use app" to agree to one price and then they will change it. They took my credit card number, email and phone number and made me sign the $219 agreement for cleaning about 1000 square feet area that includes 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the part of the house we are actually using, and I asked them to clean. Their price went up to $289 next day because they checked the property records (!) for the house that shows we have 2 more bedrooms. read more

I hired NW Maids for a move-out cleaning at basically the last second when the first service I hired (Angi/Home Advisor) was a no-show despite having been booked two weeks ahead of time. I was just short of hysterical when i called, but the phone rep calmly walked me through everything and I received email confirmation of the booking with the exact price. NW Maids was more expensive than the no-show, but they earned every single penny! The cleaner arrived right on time, and seemingly had no problems with all the dust and grime left after the move of a disabled family member who had been able to do only basic maintenance cleaning while living there. We recently used NW Maids for a cleaning of our house. We chose them over the competition for a couple of reasons - one, they offered the lowest quote, and two, they had a very convenient online booking system that made it super easy for us to find an open slot that met our needs. Based on other reviews, your team and mileage may vary, but we had a great team of two cleaners who came and really paid attention to detail in keeping our house clean, and weren't deterred by our old family dog roaming around quietly during the cleaning. A couple of slight drawbacks and/or things to consider: First, the service may try to reach out to you and upsell more additions to your reservation. Be firm in what you think is the right option for your cleaning, and they won't push further. Only half of our house gets used, so I made sure to communicate that deep cleaning was probably not necessary, as we do our own cleaning much of the time, and were just looking to take the load off of ourselves leading in to the holiday period. Secondly, the time for the service really does vary depending on your team. My team ended up staying far longer than I expected, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, as I felt they were paying good attention to detail, but it can throw a damper into plans if your preference is to be present for the whole cleaning. read more

Do yourself a favor and run far far away from these people! I chose them because of all the positive reviews, but I had a terrible experience. I scheduled my move out cleaning for a 1 bedroom apartment in advance, and was promised that they would arrive on 12/31 within a specific time frame. Well, that didn't happen and they never showed. I gave the benefit of the doubt and allowed them to reschedule for the following weekend after the NY holiday. This time, they arrived late outside the time window. The cleaner said she got a flat tire and had to stop for air. I did not freak out, life happens, so my husband left work early to stick around a little longer. Here is the shocker- when the cleaner arrived, she refused to clean the entire apartment! She said cleaning the walls and balcony was too much for one person. I called in the office and spoke with a woman named Albert- and she confirmed that "thats just not something that we do." I respectfully let her know that this would not work out, and called on Molly Maids (they knocked it out cheaper, to entirety btw). Fast forward to the following week, I called every single day and asked to speak with the manager Sam, but kept getting the run around. She is busy now, she will call back later, she had to leave for a family emergency, etc etc. Finally got a call after 3 days, and I told her all of the above. According to Sam, they DO clean walls for an additional $50 fee (which I would have been happy to pay if Albert mentioned it). She said she would look into it and call back. What do you know? They charged my card not once, not twice, but 4x at varying amounts over the weekend (according to my bank). Sam reversed $184, but that still left me with a $70 charge for a cancellation fee. Mind you - they arrived OUTSIDE of the window TWICE, and hadn't touched a single thing in the apartment. When I called back, they did not answer and Emily sent a text asking what I needed. Complete joke of a business! If you think I am overexaggerating, feel free to message me. I am happy to send screen shots! Moral of the story - call Molly Maids in Kent.
