They get a second star because they cleaned the carpet in my apartment. Everything else about the experience was awful. The cleaner said he would call "15-30 minutes" before his arrival. He did not. My girlfriend was on a conference call, and it took her a minute to gracefully step out. The cleaner berated her (while she was on the phone with me) for taking too long. Then, he made *her* move much of the furniture in the room herself. Once she completed the manual labor, he took approximately 30 minutes to clean my 12x12 living room, and my 4x4 hallway carpet. And then presented her with a bill for $225.00. We had a sick cat, and the carpet needed to be cleaned before we had company come over. But I will never, ever use this company again. For the exorbitant price we paid, we deserved far more than rudeness, condescension, and laziness. Stay away from this company. read more

I had three rugs and a carpeted area cleaned. One rug was high end and David picked it up and then brought it back cleaned. Perfect! The rest of the job was done on site. Once David showed me the dirty water coming from the rugs, I decided I will have him come back on a regular basis for health purposes. In essence all the dirt that we pick up from the street and the subway comes back home and stays in the your rugs/carpets FOREVER until you clean it out. It took two minutes to book an appointment I could get before going in to work, and I got texts the night before to confirm. When he got here, he was super courteous, friendly, and very knowledgable on mattress care. He even gave me advice on how to maintain my mattress's cleanliness in the future. The job was done in 30 minutes. He even got out a stain that was over a year old from coffee. Also accepted square payments which is awesome! I was impressed by the technician who gave me my quote and decided to get two of my couches cleaned. They looked great when he was done but when they dried, a lot of strange stains and discoloration appeared. I called the company immediately and to their credit they sent him back and he re-worked both the couches so they looked much better. The reason for my review being only 3 stars is that a month later I was getting some other furniture cleaned and the price quotes I got from two different companies for the exact same services I received from NYCleaners were less than a third the price. Had a fantastic experience with them cleaning my 6x9 White Rug. It had 2 years of deep traffic marks from my dog tracking in new york city little by little. It slowly blended from white to medium-grey in heavy traffic areas, and I thought it was probably going to have to get thrown out soon. They came, rolled it up, took it away and worked on it for 2 weeks and when they brought it back it looked silky and brand new. They did a really professional job folding it back out, positioning it just right etc. I suspect my dog will track in another few years worth of dirt and will immediately call them back if I need anything again! read more

They showed up on time. Turned out they couldn't steam clean my couch because of the material but I had already purchased the $35 Yelp coupon so he offered to use a commercial vacuum on it. He was friendly, patient and did a fine job but If you're going to buy the coupon, do it after they've come and inspected the item you want cleaned. You may not be able to use it for what you want...That's why my rating is a 4 instead of a 5, I didn't get to evaluate the service I purchased. Sadly, we've had to use their furniture cleaning service more than once because our dog is a bad dog--very, very bad dog! David has always come on time and done a great job removing the stains and we can't find where they were. They furniture looks like new when he's done and smells great, too. I had them clean 12 DR chairs and a rug, which were all light originally though hadn't been cleaned in several years. Suffice it to say they were disgusting, and now more or less look new. We had two rugs cleaned by NYCleaners, are we're very happy with the service, the professionalism, and the results. David came to give an estimate last week, was very thorough in explaining our options (and giving a lot of tips on how to keep rugs clean!), and laid everything out for us to make a decision, including of course price, turnaround, etc. Because of the make of our rugs, we had to have them taken out and cleaned in the factory. David just brought them back, several days earlier than the estimate he gave us, and laid them back down, good as new. The traffic stains, not to mention the pet stains and a stain or two that I might have caused by eating Chinese food where I shouldn't have, are all gone. Per David's response - a rep from NYCleaners did email and call me several times to find out what happened. I was offered a 20% refund which put the final price around $200. Other companies I spoke with quoted $100 for the same service. David, you are right, I should not have moved forward with the service at that price but as was my entire point with my first review (which it seems like you still don't understand) I felt pushed into the service by your technician who I was frankly afraid of refusing. David - you're also putting words into my mouth and misunderstanding the situation - "Mr Jon M. decide to clean his mattress in the given price and was happy from the cleaning itself, he never complained about the service.. " - I AM COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SERVICE! That's the entire point! I was not happy with the cleaning because I think you charged me 2-3 times market rate (even with a small reimbursement) and your technician was pushy, unprofessional, and actually lied to me!! I appreciate your attempts to resolve the situation, but I think you would have more success (and happier customers) if you just apologize, as opposed to trying to defend what was overpriced, poor service and a bad experience all around. read more

I called the company looking to steam clean my sectional couch. When David arrived, he was very friendly and honest.
