    Buffalo Wings Dry Rub Wings

Today I stopped off here, got the brisket entree, buffalo wings and italian dry rub wings. Brisket: Overcooked, the put on alot of sauce to coverup the overcooked meat. Not tender, it was like sauce on shoe leather. Buffalo wings: sauce was fine, good heat at the xxheat option, but the meat itself was dried out. Nothing to write home about. Dry Rub Italian: This was super boring, it was literally just wings with italian breadcrumbs on dried out meat. Waste of money. Overall: Not coming back.

I can't believe it took me this look to Yelp this Peekskill Gem. Peekskill has become a mecca of fantastic eateries in Westchester ( in my opinion and as reflected in the number of reviews I have done in Peekskill ) but the Firehouse Grill MUST be in that conversation. The staff is awesome, their whole vibe and concept is showing love and respect to all Blue Collar workers and First Responders. ( LEOs, FD, Teachers, RNs,...) Great place to watch a game or a fight and of course the FOOD....is Fantastic! The menu is extensive and very creative..for example I had their famous Chicken Scarp sandwich...YUMMM ! Definitely come is for one of their signature burgers and a nice cold beer..you will not be disappointed..ENJOY!

I feel like this place is so under rated. It's one of those places we're the locals meet up but is also great for new comers. The staff is really friendly and attentive. What's really crazy is that you can pick what kind of dining experience you want. You can have wings and beer or something sophisticated like salmon. Either way, you're in a relaxed environment. The food is absolutely delicious. I've never had a bad meal. We drove almost an hour to have dinner here. The food is really worth it. If I lived closer than I'd probably be there more often!

This place stands up to it's name I mean the name match up with the the wings and the kicking chicken sandwich that is the best.

Sloooow service. Servings below average for price. Music questionable. Better choices in town.

The 8oz steak griller was oily, undercooked and had no flavor. The food was cold and my onion rings were mushy. Not impressed

I enjoyed my bourbon bacon jam burger (to go) even though the bun was much bigger than the patty (which is a pet peeve of mine). The fries were delicious! Sat at the bar and enjoyed a cocktail while waiting for my food. I think it was called the aurora borealis. The cocktail I had was light and refreshing (sometimes you need that).

There are signs outside by the parking "1 hour parking". What if it takes them 40 minutes before they realize you're NOT waiting for the Metro North train! Which has its own waiting area. Didn't know if I was supposed to order at the counter, where there were a few people floating around by the cash register, and they would bring it to me, or a waitperson would eventually show up. Part of the problem is they have two outdoor seat areas, a bar area, a bistro area, and a main dining room, that has to be covered. They also sell a lot of small items to people getting off at the Metro North train station. The portions are smaller than expected. The steak sandwich comes with fries, but some pickles and coleslaw would be a nice addition; because there's not much meat in it. Even trying to settle the bill as a major operation. I definitely would not return.

BeanRunner Café - A Peekskill Gem!…read more I've been to BeanRunner many times, and it continues to be one of those unique spots in Peekskill that has its own personality and vibe. This time I stepped away from my usual order and tried the Mediterranean Salad, and I'm glad I did! It comes topped with grilled chicken and is served with pita slices and hummus. Everything worked together perfectly--it was fresh, flavorful, filling, and just really good! My usual go-to, though, is The Hurdle--turkey, bacon, Gouda cheese, sesame ginger dressing, lettuce, and tomato on panini bread. I definitely customize mine : no tomato, extra bacon, no dressing, and I prefer it cold instead of hot. So good! I also had a mocha with an extra espresso shot and extra chocolate , while my daughter and my mom enjoyed breakfast. What really makes BeanRunner special is the atmosphere. You can sit inside or outside, and the whole place gives me a cool Brooklyn lounge/café feel. Inside, you have beautiful authentic brick walls, plants thoughtfully placed throughout the seating areas, and curated artwork displayed on the walls--some of which is even available for purchase. Smooth jazz and R&B playing in the background just adds to the vibe. They cater to and strongly support local artists and musicians which is very cool! There's also a back patio, a quieter separate seating room away from the main floor, and outdoor seating with umbrellas. The outdoor area gives me a little Fort Greene/Lafayette triangle vibe, which I really enjoy. And BeanRunner is more than just a café. They have live music on weekends, and from what I'm told, they have a GOOD time! They also host poetry slams and open mics, which adds even more character to the place. They serve desserts and smoothies too, so there's plenty beyond coffee and sandwiches. The location is tucked back on Esther Place in Peekskill, across from the large Assumption Church building, and that may honestly be BeanRunner's biggest disadvantage. I truly believe that if this place weren't so tucked away, they'd be packed every day. Great food, great coffee, beautiful atmosphere, music, art, plants, indoor and outdoor seating--BeanRunner has a little bit of everything. Definitely a Peekskill spot worth discovering! 5 stars from me!
