I'd been here before, under the previous ownership. I remembered the food to be quite good, if not excellent. Well, not this time. The Asian Lettuce Wraps looked promising on the menu, but appeared at the table as slightly wilted Bibb lettuce leaves accompanied by a bowl of chicken bits and walnuts SWIMMING in soy sauce. There was no balance to this dish - no sweetness, no heat, nothing to take the edge away from the overwhelming saltiness. Additionally, the sauce was so thin as to be difficult to contain in a lettuce leaf - it should have been reduced to a thicker consistency. We'd had the Pig Skins before and remembered them as hearty potato shells filled with generous portions of pulled pork and topped with melted cheese. While I appreciated the switch to a smaller red potato, the amount of pork in the potatoes was paltry. Additionally, the cheese wasn't fully melted on top. My husband ordered the chili, as that is THE food that comes to mind when thinking of a firehouse (hubby is a former fireman, and has fond memories of hearty bowls of the stuff prepared at his firehouse). I'm not sure what firehouse would serve this chili to its men, though. It's sweet - not like "Dude, sweet!", but like "Holy cow, did they dump a cup of sugar in this stuff?". Definitely the un-chili. We took it home with the hope of doctoring it up - sadly, there was no saving this stuff, though. Hubby'd had the meatloaf here before, and although he loved it he wanted to try something new. Enter the Pulled Pork Sandwich. Rule number one: NEVER order pulled pork north of Virginia unless you know for sure there's a smoker on premises. In addition to dry, flavorless pork the sauce was again WAY too sweet. This, too, went home in the hope of salvaging it later. The fries were nothing spectacular, but not overly greasy or mealy. Since hubby remembered the meatloaf fondly, I ordered it so he could pick at mine. It was definitely not as remembered. "Server on toast points" translated to "plopped down on a slice of white bread". The texture was OK, not the worst I've had, but the flavor was lacking. The potatoes that came with it were, frankly, horrible. Big cuts of potato that were overdone at one end and mealy mush at the other - and completely dried out all over. Service was OK, if slightly sluggish when drinks were involved. The way the tables were set up was odd, and although it was a busy night there were a few free. However, we were parked at a cramped table even though the adjacent one could have been pulled over for more room (it was never used for the rest of dinner service). We may go back for the bar, but there are FAR better eats to be had in the area (Peekskill Brewery, The Quiet Man, The Birdsall House). read more

The place is cool, dedicated to fireman. I had the wings they were just OK. The flavor combos seem cool but just wasn't that flavorful. If I go back I will not have the wings again. The combos I had were French Toast, Buffalo Ranch couldn't taste the ranch or buffalo at all. I think they put the wings in a combination of ranch and buffalo dressing but it seem to just cancel both flavors out. I had a few more but as I said none of them had a lot of flavor. read more

We ordered delivery from Firehouse last night and loved it! The food was delicious and the service top notch! I have not been to the restaurant so this review is regarding their catering business. Alex, his staff and food were fabulous! They absolutely made our daughter's outdoor graduation party a big success. Everything was taken care of so I was free to enjoy the party. They set up before our party began and when they left there was no evidence that they had ever been there. The food was so good that many of our guests wanted to know who they were and how we found them. I would definitely recommend Alex for a nonstressfull catered event! read more

Awesome wings! They have a crazy variety of flavors and the new cannoush (siracha) are to die for. We used to love ninja warrior but they haven't been great the last few times we ordered them. The bbq, hbt, and Parmesan dry rub are all great. They also have some crazy unique flavors like maple bacon and pbj. Trivia night is a blast and the staff is super friendly. Takeout and dinein are easy and good comes quick when it's takeout (10 minutes, tops). I don't recommend, however, the French dip. But seriously, the wings are the best! read more

Very rare for me to write a review wanted so much to like this place but did not. The waiter was great no problems there. Nice bar good drinks just really mediocre food. The fries were soft and soggy, had a fajita and all the sides were from A jar. Salsa, guacamole , no taste in The fajita mix . Family had tacos, and ribs both a bit dry. The firehouse grill is a really good place to go locally with friends. I've gone a few times and have to say that I only go there for two things. THE WINGS AND THE CAJUN FRIES. I haven't really tried anything else (with the exception of the pie and nachos) and quite frankly I don't want to. On Sunday's they have price wings and I don't know what beats that. So 9/10x I'll go on a Sunday and get the wings. They have various selection of sauces. My personal favorite is just asking for honey mustard & honey BBQ. They have a few other flavor combos I really like but usually I opt for that. The service here is also pretty good and It's more of a sports bar. read more

Food is amazing 10/10 but lately the service has been really bad. Me and my friends went around thanksgiving time and spent around 120$ and would've spent more but the waitress was on the other end of the dining room either on her phone or walking around drinking in the bar area. We had tried to call her over to order more food and drinks and when she finally made eye contact with us she ran inside the kitchen and pushed a young guy out who also made eye contact with us and ran back in the kitchen like seriously?! Every time she actually came to our table we tried to give her multiple requests at once as to not have her go back and forth but she would constantly try to walk away after hearing the first request. Her 30$+ tip turned into a 2$ tip with comments on how bad her service was. First time I ever came to this restaurant I got bad service in the bar area so I figured I had to sit in the dining room to get food service. Now I have to request Krystal to get good service because her and the food is the only thing keeping me coming back to this place. read more

I have been to both locations, but have eaten only at the Peekskill location. I will start off by saying that the staff is really great. They are very nice and attentive, and great to kids if you bring any. The beer on tap is good, with a rotating seasonal selection available. Looking at the menu you would think this place was off the charts! They claim to specialize in BBQ (and I understand that opinions differ on latitude), but the brisket I got was terrible. It tasted like pot roast basked in a thin barbecue liquid. I could not have possibly been more disappointed. I also tried the grilled cheese appetizer w/ the french onion Au jus, which was pretty tasty, and the Irish Nachos which weren't bad. read more

My husband and I recently moved near the area and we didn't know where to go for dinner. We tried the firehouse grill one night and have been going there quite often ever since!! We love the wings and love that there are so many different unique flavors to choose from. We are looking forward to trying alot more things on the menu! Had a wonderful time tonight at the Firehouse Grill. Started with Sarachi Honey wings, which were wonderful. For dinner had brisket tacos which were a great mix of sweet and hot. One of my favorite places to go to for great comfort food. They have an extensive collection of artisan beers along with a nice comfortable bar area. I don't usually frequent the bar room but love the main dining area which is warm and friendly with the staff extremely attentive if your beverage goes low. The food is wonderful renditions of classics. Their wings, varying from the non-spicy False Alarm, through the 3, 4 and 5 Alarm on up to almost unmanageable Haz-Mat are delicious and fried to perfection. There are great appetizers, salads, huge juicy burgers and a wonderful rack of St. Louis Style ribs, slathered with bbq sauce and surved with curly fries and cornbread. Lunch today was nice. Pulled pork nicely spiced and tender. My companion had brisket and enjoyed it. They obliged us and let us mix the sweet and white potato fries that were good. I have had much better BBQ down south and in Manhattan and Queens but for the area was pretty good. That said, please, please, please turn the heat up, it's freezing, and turn the damn TV off. I've television at home. I eat out to socialize with friends. TV's in restaurants are a major pain. And I kinda like to eat without wearing my coat. read more

I love everything about this place! They have great bacon & blue cheese burgers, french onion soup and Irish nachos. My husband loves their wings. Honestly, everything we've had was really good. My only complaint about NY Firehouse Grill is how far it is from my house in Yonkers. We make the trip up as often as we can because the food is really that good. read more
