Got a huge meat lovers pizza and a meatball sub. Both were very good. The meatball sub was excellent!! So much cheese pull and the bread was chewy and crusty and the meatballs were tender. Everything you could want in a great sub. Meat lovers was very flavorful and the sauce was very fresh as well as all the ingredients. So this has been our go to local pizza place in Penasquitos for a decade. New York style, I prefer the Italian woodfire style, but for New York style it has been solid over the years. Especially delivery, local, and a million times better than dominos, papa johns, etc we probably get 10 of these pizzas delivered in a year. But last order about a month ago or so we were so disappointed we may never order from there again. I'm convinced there is a recent change in ownership? Usually when I call from my number, they know exactly who I am and my address for delivery... this last time I had to give them all the details again. No worries, but then when I asked to tell me the sizes again (which I've done many times) it was the first time they explained exactly how many pieces of Canadian bacon were on a large Hawaian. Thought that was a little odd, but no worries. We always get half Hawaiian and half something else, and must say it was very disappointing, almost half the toppings as usual. Neither husband or I really enjoyed the mostly only cheese pizza with scant toppings. No one wants raised prices, but we just won't buy at all with the last experience. This is not low cost pizza, it is a lot more $ than dominos etc, so the cutting back on toppings to save a few bucks doesn't sit well. I placed the order online for pick up 30 minutes before they were closing and my partner was able to pick up the pizza earlier than the expected pick up time. I was super hungry so the fast service made me happy & it was only about 15 minutes from ordering to pick up. I haven't tried this location in years and am glad I remembered it! I ordered the 16in supreme pizza and thank goodness I didn't order a larger size. This was for 2 people and we still had 2 slices left over. The pizza crust is soft and fluffy and the overall flavor is not too salty. I wish the toppings were baked longer for more crisp but everything was well-spread out and there was a good cheese-sauce-crust ratio. If you're looking for an intense flavor, I don't recommend this but if you love fresh ingredients on your pizza this is amazing. I can't wait to try their white pizza next time. read more

Their prices are pretty cheap as well! For 50$ we got a big pizza, cheesy garlic bread, and mozzarella sticks! They have a 28" pizza which is HUGE! And it's only 40$! The only thing is I wish they had more seating because this would be an amazing place to relax at, but it's a small area so that is not their fault, they do have 2 tables if your a couple going out for some pizza! I highly recommend and think this will be our new go to on our way home from San Diego from now on! Any bigger, I'm sure it's still feasible to fold it. Best eaten same day. Makes a great leftover lunch for the next day. The crust/dough is my favorite part. It has enough flavor that imparts it from the rest of the ingredients. The pizza sauce slathered on top is like an entire separate entity, and the cheese shimmers with glory. Decided to try out a pizza place close to my house and this place popped up. Friday night we ordered and it was ready in a hour since they said they were slammed. You can't dine in, maybe outside seating. When I got there the wings were ready. The supreme pizza seemed like it was soggy in some spots. I was quite disappointed. The white pizza was ok. Found this gem of a place when I moved into the area. I actually have a friend who lives by this place and I happened to pass by and got curious to try it out. The first order I did was a mixture of a White Pizza and Margherita Pizza. Let me tell you... that was so BOMB! I think their white pizzas are the best flavor I've ever had from a pizza joint. Perfect melt of ricotta cheese, fresh basil, and garlic. I think I found my pizza place to go to whenever I'm craving NY pizza. After going there a few times, we got a Hawaiian Pizza with fresh basil on top just to try their other flavors. I don't think anything compares to the white pizza. Supreme Pizza: 1.5/5 I ordered this pizza without olives and they were sure not to add any. The pizza photographs very well and looks fresh and delicious. While I will affirm that it was fresh, the pizza itself was a disaster. The amount of vegetables they put on it made the center extremely soggy and watery. The sauce itself did not taste like much and the dough was the same, very bland and uninspired. The toppings were definitely more on the raw side and retained a lot of moisture, so it was a very unpleasant experience eating hot damp pizza dough with warm but still raw-ish veggies. Perhaps their pizzas without vegetables are cooked better, but with supreme pizza being a standard, I am not too hopeful.
