Takeout only (there is not indoor seating here to eat). We placed our order and then went shopping at Aldi. We got the calzones because we were in the mood for calzones. We were excited about the calzones because they were so big that we ate half for lunch and half for dinner. And then within 24 hours we developed severe gastrointestinal symptoms. I actually had to go to urgent care for IV fluids, and the doctors said it was likely food poisoning. We checked Yelp & the news but there were no other postings about people getting food poisoning recently. We are too scared to go back to eat anything else. Fantastic neighborhood pizza spot! NY is my personal favorite style of pizza and I feel like they do such a great job here. To me, most pizza places these days get too fancy and charge way too much. These guys make a great, fresh and tasty NY style pie and keep the prices quite reasonable so it's easy to get a huge, delicious pizza for a party or even just a family fun night. I like that you can create you own Calzone. $21 with 4 toppings. I had Canadian Bacon, Pineapple, Pepperoni and Meatballs. It's 5 star delicious. Wasn't really expecting much but man this pizza was good! We ordered the supreme pizza and mozzarella sticks. The toppings were pepperoni, ham, olives, green peppers, olives, red onions and mushrooms. As the name of the restaurant states it was New York style so thin throughout with a nice crispy crust. The mozzarella sticks on the other had that freezer taste to it but still not bad. The total price of these two items was $36.61 which is a kinda pricey in my opinion. They have been really good with their customers and their service is great. I ordered pizza online, the phone, and any directions you give on the notes or verbally, they will make it happen for your custom pizza orders. Usually look for local ads to get coupons, but overall the prices are reasonable. Delicious pizza at a fair price. If you check-in with Yelp you get a free topping. Their crust is very light so you don't feel stuffed after a couple of slices. I typically get their 20" pizza with half "Supreme" (no pepperoni and add pineapple as my free topping) and the other half I get their "Veggie" (and add Canadian Becon as my other free topping)...I request light sauce on the entire pizza and "extra chrispy". They have been pretty quick with completing my order usually 15 to 20 minutes. Nothing closes out a work week like eating a hot slice of pizza on your living room floor. I didn't want to get an entire pizza for myself but I thought about it! I found this spot close to my house that sells by the slice. Plus I couldn't believe the prices! Walked in around 730pm, I thought they were closed since the floors were freshly mopped and all the chairs were on the tables. It's a small little shop better to order to go. They don't have the slices on display but the toppings are on the menu. I got a 2 slice deal with a drink for $6.49! The slices are huge too! It's thin but that's the way I prefer my pizza and I don't eat eat the crust anyways. There were 3 guys working, the one that took my order wasn't the friendliest. But I think the owner brought out my order he was very nice. What I also liked was the drink wasn't from a soda fountain, I could grab any can from the fridge. I didn't plan on drinking the brisk ice tea that night so it was nice that I could save it. They also carry liter sodas if you are planning a larger party. Overall the pizza was great! Nice thin slices and great size. It wasn't overly greasy and they didn't skimp on toppings. Definitely keeping this spot in mind next time I need a pizza fix. read more

Luckily I found this place after googling where to get a huge 28" pizza. It was on the way to their hotel and affordable for that size pizza! We ended up getting two and it was actually very good! My bf has been raving about NY Giant Pizza for quite some time so I decided to drive to Mira Mesa to check this place out myself. They have their $3.50 special consisting of one 1-topping slice and a drink. But when I saw their White Pizza on the menu, I stopped and immediately wanted to try that instead. David and I got the 14'' White Pizza for $12.99 which came with fresh (and I mean really fresh) garlic, ricotta, basil, and mozzarella. Check-in for a free topping! We got black olives for our free topping, but thinking of trying the green olives next time per the owner's recommendations. He's fine with doing half green half black too. 20 minutes later our pizza came out, garlicky and all... just the way we like it! It was worth every minute of waiting because it was probably the best slice of pizza I've had in a really long time. Ever since my trip to NYC a year ago, I've been on the quest for a pizza place that can come close to the pizza I had there... this is THE place for NY style pizza in SD. Move over Luigi, I'm coming here from now on. The crust was thin and chewy, the mozzarella was stringy and flavorful, and the best part... the ricotta. They were very VERY generous with the ricotta and it melted in my mouth with every bite. They also have a TV so we requested the owner to turn to the Celtics-Knicks playoffs game.
