This place, what a find by a buddy that lives in the area. The food tasted fresh and tasty. Quick service, in and out like a flash! What's wild is we went during non-rush hour and there was still quite a few folks getting food! That white sauce on the rice and chicken? I would compare it to a NY chicken and rice halal cart. They've nailed it. Plenty of platter choices to choose from too. And the price? A steal for what you get. I would say it's the cheapest chicken and rice spots for the amount of food you get in Jersey Thank the food gods they're back open on Sundays!

Been wanting to try Gyro King since a while and finally drove down. The Chicken was delicious and succulent, the rice was well seasoned. The Sauces were amazing and definitely takes the platter to next level.

Omgggg stopped by Gyro king the other day with my god father, looking for something Similar to halal guys in the Bloomfield area . It had great reviews on Yelp so I thought I would give it a try . It's located near a parking an convenient parking area just a few meters away. It was only one customer in there at the time ,so this gave me time to glance around and take some clips of the brightly colored restaurant . Once it was my turn I knew I wanted a rice chicken platter with the white and red sauce . My godfather tried the same thing only because at the time it was a 10 min wait for beef . I was happy to see that they sold smoothies so I decided that would by my dessert part of my lunch lol . The staff was super friendly . And the orders were prepared promptly. When I got home I COULD NOT believe how delicious this platter was . The chicken was PACKED with so much flavor! Cumin , turmeric , I'm not exactly sure but this chicken knocked my socks off ! It's absolutely delicious and I've been talking about it for almost a week now . Please stop by here for lunch and dinner and lunch again ! Halal guys who ??

I love this place... i think in my opinion, it's better than the Halal Guy in the city... you see how they cook their meat, how they patiently chop up their gyro meat, and if you order their chicken/beef tikka, the staff will slowly and perfectly grill your meat on this cute little stove... it's like make to order (for that particular one)... portion is pretty big, you can add whatever topping you want: salad, onion, peppers... even sauce, they have regular hot sauce, white sauce (my favorite), bbq sauce... and this super hot sauce which you order by how many lines you want... one is just enough for me, but if you can take some heat... go for 2-3 lines... you will not regrets coming here... and i will come back again!!! :)

Oooof best halal food in the area. I've been to plenty of halal spots in my day but I always find myself back at Gyro King in Bloomfield. I always get the mix platter and smother it in white and green sauce (don't worry they're very generous with portions of sauce AND food). They allow you to choose what you want in your salad, the cucumbers, olives and lettuce combo always does it for me. The food is always fresh and ready to order so ordering to go is simple and fast. Definitely would recommend this place for take out for lunch or dinner, and if you're like me you'll have leftovers for dayssss.

Chicken/lamb rice platter for $8. Delicious!!!!!

This place is SO. GOOD. It might've been because I was starving so anything would've tasted good, but the food here is great. If you like the Halal Guys in midtown Manhattan, you'll like this. The white sauce here is a bit sweeter (it's noticeable, but not at all bad) and the standard red sauce is less spicy, but it's definitely comparable. Prices are $1 or so higher at $8 but still a great deal if you compare dinner or lunch at other restaurants! I got the rice platter with chicken and lamb. Not much else to say. People are friendly, portions are filled to the brim (how it should be!), and prices are fair. Didn't notice anything gross inside. Will definitely be back.

The Bosphorus, the 32-kilometer (20-mile)-long north-south strait, has been a waterway of the…read morehighest importance since ancient times in Turkey. Its English name comes from a Greek legend: Zeus had an affair with a beautiful woman named Io. When Hera, his wife, discovered his infidelity, she turned Io into a cow and created a horsefly to sting her on the rump. Io jumped clear across the strait. Thus, "bous" = "cow" and "poros" = "crossing place": Bosphorus = "crossing place of the cow." Located off of busy Franklin Avenue in Nutley, my partner, our friends, and I have decided on our dinner at this family-owned-and-run BYOB establishment, which has been open since 1995. A reservation was made for a party of 4 by calling their restaurant. Upon arrival after three years, we were welcomed by Nora, the owner, and made our way to a table by the piano inside, evoking a cozy, thoughtfully designed, upscale vibe with music playing softly. Their menu features Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. For starters, we decided on the Puffed Rill Pastry and Grape Leaves. Our main meal consisted of all lamb dishes (Lamb Shish Kebab, Beyti Kebab, Lamb Chops, and Lamb Sauté). Our food was fresh, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection, accompanied by a beautifully presented dish. Everything was authentically made with love here. Wish we could have stayed for dessert, as they looked amazing, but some of us were in a rush. It's definitely on the higher end cost but worth the taste. Our visit ended with a hug and a piece of candy.
