Food was really fresh we ordered via grubhub, only issue was falafel and hummus were both without any salt , thus the flavors Didn't come across well and we couldn't taste much. Also everything in grilled chicken platter was packed in one box which made fries really soggy due to heat from chicken and juice from grilled tomato.. will try this place in person once. read more

I love Greek food so I had to give this place a try. I called in my order of the Mykenos shrimp and the man ghat answered was helpful. I paid over the phone $17. When I arrived I parked in their parking lot. I didn't have much interaction with the staff. I was just told where my food was and I took it and left. When I go home I sat and ate. If you live in the North Arlington area and like gyros, this place needs to be boosted to the top of your list ASAP. I have yet to have anything I didn't like from here. Hands down, the best gyros this side of the Mason Dixon line. Everything is fresh and the tzaziki sauce is PHENOMENAL. Appetizers, can't go wrong with the dolmades, zucchini balls or a nice order of Greek fries. My wife and I usually share either a Chicken and spinach pie, moussaka or pastachio along with our gyro. Service is beyond excellent. It's small location that packs a tremendous punch of flavor. Gyro heaven :) Haven't left a review on yelp in a long time, but I had to for this place! I ate here last night, just fries & a chicken gyro. The gyro was like the best I've ever had. The meat was amazingly flavored, juicy and plentiful. It was loaded with veg and tzatziki, which was such a good compliment to the meat. In general, it was a pretty big gyro - well worth the price to me! The fries were pretty good too, again well worth the price for only 3.50! My food was packed neatly, and my order was ready a little before predicted (I did a pick up). I plan on going back tomorrow already, because I cannot stop thinking about the gyro! The many positive Yelp! reviews made this innocuous strip mall restaurant stand out to me, so I decided to check it out on a Monday at 7:30-8 PM. The small, modest looking restaurant was completely devoid of diners. The owner, who I assumed took my order was attentive, but not particularly friendly. I ordered a (large) horiatiki salad w/grilled chicken; & a grilled seafood entree that was plated on a very small "bed" of plain rice with a few sautéed spinach leaves. It featured 3 small shrimp, a single octopus limb (cold w/negligible char) & 2 small calamari pouches (but no calamari rings.) There was hardly any feta cheese, or olives. Also, hardly any dressing on our (little) $19 salad, none included in the 2 paper bags. Although the small bites of seafood tasted fresh, they desperately needed some kind of sauce; or even a lemon wedge. They included 2 warmed, foil wrapped pitas - un-grilled, no olive oil, or sauce of any kind. In summary, our "bland & boring" Greek takeout dinner for 2 was approx. $44. Q. 200th personal Yelp review might as well go to this 5 star gem I always forget about! I'll get right to the point. Ordered on DoorDash with some incredible promos and finished off the meal with huge smiles on our faces. Everything was filled with flavor and fresh! Octopus salad was so delicious I couldn't stop eating it. A bit oily, but I just let it drain a bit through my fork or let it drip onto a pita. Tzatziki was thick and yummy. No need to order extra as they give ample amounts per meal. Pitas were so pillowy and hot! Gyro meat crisp and moist. Salad super fresh! Fries were wonderfully seasoned. Only disappointment was the falafel. It was purely a matter of preference and we like ours drier and really crunchy. This was more like a mashed potato pancake texture. Flavor was fine. I'm not going to remove stars for that. Although COVID has made me terribly miss my regulars, it sure brought back an appreciation of old time faves that slipped your mind and once again you enjoy. I have been ordering their greek salads and they are great! fresh and tasty! I don't like is their hummus. For me it was a bit watery and tasteless. That can be my preference. I do have a complaint. I dined in for first time instead of delivery and i was charged a $2 service charge. I was on a call from work and couldn't ask what was that for. I felt that i literally sat there to eat and paid tip and they included a service charge?!? Made no sense. But would continue to order for delivery. read more

Glad I found Mykonos. This was a random "I'm in the area and I want Greek food Yelp search". Nailed it. Nice place that appears to only be doing takeout due to "the VID". I got an order of the Chicken Mykonos, beaded chicken in a tomato sauce. The tomatoes appeared to be roasted whole tomatoes. The sauce was really good and you have the option of rice or orzo. I went with the orzo for the win. They also included two heated pitas with it that were great with the sauce. read more

I love this Greek restaurant so much. I go all the time when I crave Greek food. Owner is extremely courteous, place is clean and the food is always consistent and delicious. Place is small but always sitting available with no waiting. (That is at least when we go) I've order their grilled chicken Greek salad and it's full of flavor. What happens when you give your kids an equal vote where to go for dinner? You suggest empanadas and somehow end up with... Greek. But I'm glad we made that culinary-leap because Mykonos is whipping up some seriously delicious food in that little strip mall they're in. We went with beef and chicken platters and each component was as good as its neighbor. The proteins caramelized and well-seasoned. The tzatziki was incredibly vibrant and fresh. The fries were stellar. The pita was sturdy and a perfect "binding agent" for all of the above (not to mention the grilled tomato, onion, etc.). Big portion sizes and definitely priced fairly. During these COVID-times it was curbside delivery so I can't speak about the interior of the restaurant but the guy on the phone and who was kind enough to bring the food to my car could not have been any nicer. Their grilled chicken is not pounded so thin that it is dried out; it is big and juicy with the perfect backyard grill taste - to perfection! I just had their Salmon in phyllo and I was absolutely blown away! It was full of very fresh spinach that was perfectly cooked, so that it still had texture and taste, it had just enough Feta and the phyllo was perfectly toasty. The lemon sauce with it, was so awesome, my only complaint is I wish there was more of the sauce, I could have drank it in a mug!!! Light, bright, lemony, not bitter. Amazing food quality! Food tastes great - the chicken soulvaki platter, falafel and Melitzana Skordalia were all good. The side salad, tzatziki, garlic drip & hummus are all very fresh. I like falafel crunchy n dry and theirs is not, but it still tastes great and quality is good. It's just a different way to prepare it so not taking away stars for that. read more

The inside of Mykonos is a little drab, but don't let it fool you! It's a hidden gem in a small strip mall next to a deli and tanning salon. The gyros here are amazing. Food is AMAZING, great customer service, there's parking and if you go on Sunday the tanning salon next door is only $7....so you can eat AND look GREEK! lol I don't know why this place is always empty when I go, because it's AWESOME. I love mediterranian food, and having grown up in a very diverse area, I was very doubtful that this tiny little place in snobby Bergen county was going to be any good. I'm SO glad I was wrong. I used to drive by and never go in, because I couldn't get a good look at the interior of the restaurant from the street and then bought a Groupon, so I committed. I can hands down say that this place makes the BEST chicken pita (about $7 - but very large and meaty) I have ever tasted in my entire life. Sultan's pita down the road has all these articles written by people and the place SUCKS. As others have mentioned the tzatziki sauce is great, and for me tzatziki sauce makes a Greek place (just don't ask for extra sauce, it'll cost you $1.25 extra for two ketchup packet's worth). I will fully recommend the Greek salad ($8 not enough for 2 people, but good sized plate - plenty of feta, but not overwhelming). I can only eat a tiny piece of the Backlava, since it's some of the sweetest pastry I've ever had. I can not recommend this place enough, I have since moved out of North Arlington and will drive the extra miles to get here. wow! delicious greek food but pork souvlaki is the ultimate ever!!! we stopped at this restaurant for a quick snack with my family and everyone loved it. They have a great selection for vegans so this is a plus for my family. The spinach pie was to die for so totally a must have item. I usually don't like my souvlaki with onions so the owner gladly changed it for lettuce, cucumbers and lettuces it was so good. The pita break was so soft and tasty so no extra ingredients were needed. the greek sauce was delicious and the consistency was perfect. I like this friendly Greek restaurant where I have had lunch many times and occasionally dinner. The spinach pie, appetizer platter, imam baldi, and Greek coffee are consistently excellent. It is usually not too crowded and the Chilean owner is helpful and courteous. It is also cheerfully decorated with many tables having an outdoor window view and one table outside on the sidewalk. Empty restaurant during my friend's and my visit @ 3:00PM on a Wednesday. Having our choice of seating was nice, but they were out of lamb which was kind of a "wtf" moment. Three'clock and no lamb sounds like a failure to keep stocked rather than than a football team having cleared them out at 2:30. I thought the spanakopita was a very generous portion, but it was not crispy the way spanakopita is supposed to be. The veggie sandwich was actually really good and had grape leaves in it. I was disappointed with the baklava, again it was not one bit flaky and crispy. The manager called me twice asking if I was still planning on picking up my food and I explained to him my significant other was rushing there straight from work. I am so disappointed. I ordered via seamless. The food is normally very good but not today. Pasticcio should look like a lasagne. It has layers of ziti , meat , cheese and béchamel. In the past I was very happy with both their Moussaka and Pasticcio. However today we received a disassembled pasticcio with just ziti missing the meat layer. My fiance and I both had gyros which were pretty good. I got lamb and he got chicken. The lamb pieces in mine were in chunks and I would've preferred if they were sliced instead. This is my new go to Greek spot. I dropped in around lunch time to try this place out for the first time. I was quickly greeted by the hostess and was able to order my meal immediately. I ordered the small Greek salad with grilled chicken and stuffed grape leaves. The salad generously came out with an ample amount of pita bread, but I had to pay for the side of tzatziki for a $1 more but whatever, it was worth it. The tzatziki was very flavorful and you can see the herbs in the sauce. The grape leaves were even great. The staff was super friendly and the service was fast. My boyfriend and I just started ordering from Mykonos about a month ago (Uber Eats). I can't say enough great things about Mykonos. Long story short- my boyfriend and I have been on a keto diet since September and were searching for keto friendly takeout. We decided to give Mykonos a try and we haven't been disappointed! We get a Greek salad and chicken platter to keep it simple. I have left special notes asking for no Greek fries and for grilled veggies instead. Every time our order notes have been followed which really means a lot because it shows they care, and are taking the time to get orders correct.
