Was out late on a weekday and my mom wanted pizza, so we came here. It was good! There's a huge variety of slices to choose from that i got a bit overwhelmed. Since we came pretty late at night a lot of slices were sold out. We ordered reg slice of cheese, white garlic, fig, and upside down (square slice). They were honestly all pretty good, no specific fav. I personally still have a diff fav pizza spot in the city, but id def come again for a late night grub! Staff were so extremely kind and nice!! Had to stop by this pizza spot after checking out Madison Square Garden. We went on a Wednesday night and were pleasantly surprise because there wasn't much of a line and there were plenty of open tables to sit down and enjoy our food. I've been excited to try this place for a while, and it was well worth the hype. The dough was the absolute star. It was crunchy on the outside, but soft and slightly sweet on the inside. Place was packed even though internet was down hence cash only. There were plenty of tables with seating for 2-4 people. The slices they had were limited but it most likely was due them closing soon. Luckily I've been here before and know how good their pizza can be. Rating is bumped up for that reason. I arrived around 4 for a concert at 7 before it got too crowded. The slice I had was the Suprema. It missed the mark towards the end of the slice. Flavors were good as always and the base thickness really is perfect. Where it went wrong was towards end. The last third became tough to chew like biting cardboard. Had to leave the crust which I rarely ever do. My guess is that the pizza was sitting for some time. Price at $7.75 a slice is also creeping up. All else was fine, they were friendly and do a good job of managing the crowds. Small line when we arrived but it moved fast. There are some tables in the back which do fill up but were available since we arrived on the early side. I've given Suprema a shot multiple times as a lifelong NYer. I went recently and confirmed this place is so overrated and bad in 2026 and only has customers because of its location, name and tourists who just don't know any better. There is seating. They take card but with a fee although machine was out the day I went. I think there is a bathroom. Well staffed and there is a pizza museum. Cashier is friendly. Red is the branding color. The workers are rude and talk behind your back in Spanish when you ask them for things. As for my slice, it flopped immediately and was watery. Undercarriage was OK looking but didn't hold the slice. Too fluffy. Too much flour. It broke apart. $4.75. Also mine was cut poorly but I can live with that. There was some bread crumbs on top of my slice (might have been the last in the pie). They offered me a new slice because they saw my facial expression which I accepted. New slice was even worst than the first because of even more flop and breakage maybe because it was new. You essentially needed a knife and fork to eat it. This is not what we do in NYC with pizza slices. Try it once but I don't like this place and I've given it numerous tries to do better. Good, but disappointed in the service this time. I visited this place 6 months ago with my son, and he was over the moon happy because he could try authentic New York pizza with non-dairy cheese. I came on a train with the intention of bringing back an entire pie just for him with non-dairy cheese. When I called the shop to inquire whether they had non-dairy cheese, the person answering the phone said they did not. This made me wonder whether I might have been in the wrong place or whether the menu had changed since my first visit. I figured, since I was only 10 minutes away on foot, I would stop in to see for myself, given that the train station is nearby. When I called the shop while standing outside, I was told yes, they have vegan cheese. Apparently, you have to say vegan cheese, not non-dairy cheese. I was excited to fulfill my son's dream of having an entire pie to himself. My disappointment came when the shop owner told me they would not sell a whole high until 1115 for pick up. I told the owner that my train leaves at 11 AM and that I cannot wait until 1115. The owner told me they were making pies for the store, even after I said I would buy the first vegan cheese pizza. I was told I could not buy that pizza at the whole pie price. The only thing the owner could do was sell me a pie at the by-the-slice price. So instead of being able to get a margarita and non-dairy vegan cheese pizza at the normal price. I paid over $70 for pizza, and it literally was the exact pizza pulled from the oven, placed in a box, and given to me. The pizza date survived the 4-hr train ride back, and my son was still extremely happy. I only wish I could've gotten a pizza at a reasonable price. read more

Um. This was not the place for me. I can't vouch for the other reviews but my vegan slice was absolutely terrible. Whoever said they use "gourmet" vegan cheese was lying. It tasted like Daiya or Violife shreds. Vegan cheese has come a long way so for it not be melted on says a lot. The sauce tasted like a can of crushed tomatoes that hadn't stewed with seasonings one bit. It was very acidic and lackluster. I knew I'd be paying Times Square prices but for $7+ I was not impressed. Service was super fast and it's clean in there. There was room for me and a friend to sit and eat. I'll give them a try one more time if they have a different vegan slice available. Other than that, huge tourist trap and $2 slices taste better from TwoBros lol. read more

It doesn't. I don't get it, it looks un appetizing in the window, and for me brings down the flavor levels to the mid 7's. This crust was another one of these under proofed, immature, no crumb, structure little flavor guys. What they did get right was the cheese and Distribution with sauce. Great thin crust pizza by the slice and hilarious cooks. You get in line, and yes it probably will be out the door, and call out your slices to the staff. I s your group getting six slices? Call them all out at once. Eight slices? Call them all out at once. The line moves very quickly. The cooks know what they are doing. Pay the cashier, grab your food, and look for an open table. If you linger at a table after you are done eating, the staff will probably yell at you to get moving. I like that. The fig, fra diavolo, and hot honey slices were delicious. The pepperoni was fine. There wasn't much sauce, the chicken itself was decent, but the cheese on top tasted a bit like lower-quality cheese and the flavor just didn't hit. The other pizzas we saw coming out looked much better and more like what we probably should have ordered. That said, the line moved fairly quickly even during the busy dinner rush, and we were able to find a table to sit at without too much trouble. The grandma slice was so, so, so good. Absolutely loved the fresh basil and tomatoes on top. The crust was on the softer side and bit thick, and I very much enjoyed it. My last time grabbing a slice here was about 9 or 10 years ago at the specific request of my visiting nephew to go there. Cut to my even more disappointing experience now - overly salty, overcooked and overpriced classic Cheese Slice making NY Pizza Suprema a place I will definitely avoid in the future! As a native New Yorker who loves and has regularly enjoyed our world famous slices throughout his life, NY Pizza Supreme's price of $4.75 for a basic slice should deliver something truly special. Especially with new quality competition staking neighborhoods throughout Manhattan priced at most $4, what I was served felt like a rip-off! Apparently, the same family who owns this one and only location for over 60 years (that's touted above their ovens) needs a reality check on their product and price! Clearly, NY Pizza Supreme's survival has benefitted for this time from "location, location, location" being catacorner from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. My Cheese Slice apparently was cooked enough before I ordered it, given the darkened spots on the cheese. I asked for it just warmed, so I could eat it right away. The not crisp, relatively thin crust was suboptimally tough underneath and chewy below the toppings. At that stage, the cheese was cooked to death! The only reason I generously didn't give NY Pizza Suprema just two stars was the tomato chuck found in my pizza sauce - indicating they may be making it on premises. If you'd like to have a truly great NYC slice, avoid NY Pizza Suprema and take the time to venture elsewhere! You'll find so many other places with better bang for your pizza bucks! read more
