Popped in here to grab a quick slice on my lunch break today as I was running short on time. The employees were so so friendly! I absolutely appreciated that. I was asked if I wanted my slice to stay or to go, and when I responded with "to go" the guy at the cash register said "you know, you're welcome to stay! Mi casa es su casa" which made my day! I ordered a slice of the spinach artichoke pizza and was beyond satisfied with its tastiness! This type of pizza tends to be hit-or-miss, but I'm glad that it was a "hit" here. Conveniently located right around the corner from our hotel. They have a large variety of pizzas by the slice at a very reasonable price. It's less expensive than Joe's pizza and has more options. There is also minimal wait so you get your food quickly. After you pick your slice, they will reheat it for you so it tastes nice and hot. read more

First meal in New York after an extremely exhausting travel day. I'm talking 4am wake up and not eating until over 12 hours later kind of day! Roma Pizza saved our hangriness. This is the Roma Pizza outpost on 6th Ave. They have a few locations around the city. Been in business since 1985. The slices are eye-appealing and have great curb appeal compared to other slice shops in the area. I was operating on fumes at that point, so I didn't bother to read the menu. I just picked out a few that I knew we'd like, while also picking up a few extra things for my parents. Service was superb, they were working hard back there! The vodka slice also contained a few dollops of burrata and red sauce. This was a tasty slice with good crisp and a yummy combination of flavors. The pepperoni slice was STURDY. To my surprise, this slice must have hot honey on top because it brought the heat. This one was thicker than the other slice and the crunch was insane. Kind of like a crunchy Sicilian, which is impossible to find outside of New York! Congrats on 40 years of business and congrats to my belly for being put into a food coma immediately after. This was my GO TO in New York. Super close by to my hotel and honestly never disappointed. They have a ton of slices to choose from and always open late so that was super convenient. Is this the best pizza in new york? Probably not but it was delicious for the location we were in. Always friendly staff and ready to heat you up whatever you choose. Came right before close and still had a huge variety of pizzas to pick from. I mean any pizza combo, sauce or topping combo you could think of they probably had it. They even had a hybrid sauced one combined of vodka, marinara, and pesto sauce that was pretty cool. I, myself was eyeballing the all veggie slice (minus the olives) but also drooling over the mozzarella slice, so I asked if I could do the mozzarella slice with some veggies on it and without any hesitation they made it for me. Now mine you this will come at a cost, every extra topping costs $1-$2+ so the "custom" slice I got would usually cost at least $10 but the staff was very nice and told just this time they'd give me a deal on it but not to expect that in the future. I really appreciated the communication. About 3-5 min wait and my ding! my slice was done. They also gave me some red chili pepper flakes in the (ask requested) and fresh Parmesan which was a nice touch. The restaurant is nicely placed in midtown. The place was huge and they serve way more than just pizza. They also have a nice little seating area outside too. The gentlemen in there were very nice even with them closing so shortly after. I have been here before, but I wanted to leave a review once i tried something different besides a slice. Well, I did not get what I asked for. The taste was ok but very disappointed because I asked for a meatball parm hero with extra cheese. What I got was a meatball sub with light/hardly any cheese...more bread than anything. I heard the guy repeat my order directly to the kitchen and still it was wrong. I didn't mine not having whole meatballs, but it looked like the only cut up 2 for a whole sub roll. Service here was super quick and everyone we interacted with was really friendly, which definitely started things off on a good note. The menu is massive with so many options that it almost felt overwhelming in a good way. Unfortunately, the food itself largely disappointed. I tried the beef patty crust (no idea what the actual name of it is), which was unique but ended up tasting more like a Cheez-It than anything else. The beef filling didn't have much, if any, seasoning, so it came across pretty flat. I also ordered the spicy chicken vodka pizza, which sounded great on paper but was just okay. It didn't have any real spice or standout flavor, and it came out only lukewarm. The saving grace of the meal was the cannoli cake. It was moist, balanced, and not overly sweet. I feel like if this was cooked a bit more or a better temperature I could've given it another star. There is a good amount of seating outside which is great if you want a setting where you can enjoy the food, especially with these late hours. I would've liked to try the Caesar salad pizza since it caught my eye, but I wasn't sure how long it had been sitting out since it was already close to midnight. Cheese pizza ($3.5) was a winner for us - simple but tasty and aromatic (of tomato sauce). With pepper flakes on top (that they have in shakers on the side), it's perf. Margherita $5 was our second fave - slightly tart. Spicy pepperoni was a lil too salty and oil for me but it was still pretty good. Crust was also thin. Food (3.75/5) - it's NY style pizza and they have a huge selection of pizza by the slice... probably 20 different options in the glass windows. - Margherita- it was not bad... bit flimsier than I prefer but some chew and burn in the crust. Cheese and sauce were ok. - Grilled Caesar Salad - I usually don't do novelty slices but thought I would try this one. It was not good lol. Too rich and not a good mixture. Service (4/5) - it was busy but orders were processed quickly and friendly service. Atmosphere (3.75/5) - it has a fair amount of basic tables and brightly lit. I was driving to the Grammercy area for some wine boxes, a new organic vegetable planter for inside the apartments of city dwellers, available for sale by early spring 2025, MESSAGE me with questions. A Classic big slice New York midtown pizza in an unpretentious setting and a soft holiday vibe set up on me as I entered. Fifteen to twenty pizzas in the shallow dish behind the looking glass, ready to go home with a lucky customer. I could see the commitment to quality not just by the properly clad pizzamen fashioning their spinning skills but the over population of pepperoni and mushrooms topping the pies. Not organic, not eco necessarily friendly, no weird toppings minus the Hawaiian pizza but many flexible options for any tastes, very on the go midtown friendly and so was Sam. We spoke a bit and in moments I was out the door with two regular slices for me and my best girl. My slice cracked on the sides and structurally went to puzzle pieces, I think it was my hungry swooping double hand attack that caused the terrible handling crime. She loved hers, said it's one of the best shoes ever had so that pushed my four stars to a five and that's just fine by me. While in New York, my husband and I visited two locations of this restaurant. Each time, there was a wait, but the line moved quickly. You have to be patient to find a seat, but most people eat quickly and then leave. There's a wide selection of pizzas on display and you just walk around and look for one that you want and tell the restaurant workers which one and they go ahead and reheat it. It's usually ready in five minutes or so during that time you can pay for your food and find a drink. The pizza comes out super fresh, and hot! We tried at least five different flavors during our trip, but my favorite was the tricolor. The best part about this pizza place is at the crust is perfectly crispy and thin. Because everything is so hot and fresh, I'm extra amazed that the crust remains crispy with a slight chew! I wish I had time to try even more pizza. When in NYC you must get pizza, so we went to Roma. It's a smaller place that has both a small indoor and outdoor seating. You walk in and see lots of pizzas. They also have the menu with even more options. We order each a slice of pizza. It all tasted very good. It was fresh and had a slight crunch from the bread/crust and the ingredients all tasted fresh. The interior was clean. As mentioned it's smaller, so it's a little cramped, but it goes w the vibe.
