The worst. This is my first and last visit to this location. The facility is dated. The carpet is old and faded. The place hasn't been kept. I ordered an egg, ham, and cheese on a spinach Florentine with a hashbrown. The sandwich had the potential to be better. The hashbrown was mushy. It presented well, but tasted awful. I have not been here in years. I'm not a hugh breakfast person. I was in the mood for a bagel. Went to order online and saw I had a free in-app breakfast sandwich. I decided on the new maple house bagel sandwich. It comes on a French toast bagel. I am not a cinnamon fan but decided to get it the way it comes. I'm so glad I did it was absolutely fresh, hot and delicious. Handicap parking us close to the front door. Staff is so friendly. Even the customers were friendly. Placed an order for pick-up on the morning of 9/15 for pick-up at 6:50am on 9/16. Plenty of time, Right, as the store is still open and can see pending orders for the next day. So I show up at 6:48am this morning and see the 5 "Canteen" containers on the counter. I give them my name, ask if it's my order, and they said it is. Then they reply that they need to start brewing the coffee. Important distinction here. Not start filling, but start brewing. Brewing coffee is not a quick process! Meanwhile, while I'm waiting, no offer of a free coffee, bagel or even a glass of water while I wait on my $129.55 pre-paid order. Not out the door until 7:05am. Basically, I had an egg and cheese sandwich because of it unfortunately. I emailed customer service but didn't hear back yet. This was my first experience at Einstein's bagels here in AZ. I hope I hear back from them but there should definitely be some kind or quality control for the meat before putting it on the sandwich. My boyfriend took a bite and he bit into nothing but fat and didn't want anymore of it. It turned him off from eating anymore. I don't blame him. But I don't think it everything went well with the ordering.I got bagels to go I thought I'd try their cinnamon roll .. I was told that it'll be a moment before I get the cinnamon roll.I didn't understand why? They heat it up for you which wasn't necessary. But okay, that's fine, so I'm standing and waiting. Because I have everything else. I need, and I finally have to say, excuse me, where is my cinnamon roll? And she puts in a bag, she says, careful, it's hot on the bottom. I really try to get this location a chance since it's not even five minutes from my house. The past few times I have been in the place is always dirty and the staff is never friendly. This morning I walked in and waited for five minutes at the counter for someone to greet me. I was about to turn around and walk out until I was asked what I wanted to order. It's very unfortunate because the bagels are good and they have a nice selection. The next time I want bagels, I will try out the location in Arcadia. Good luck guys. read more

My order #10855665144834843057 on November 5th. I already sent 3 emails to the email on a paper they put in my bag. No response. I made an online order and when I went to pick it up, my coffee tasted completely watered down. Then, I'm glad I checked my order as soon as I tried the coffee because my sandwich was completely missing the chorizo. After I pointed these two things out, they fixed my order but kept treating me like I was the one bothering them. To top it off, my other sandwich had a HAIR in it. Absolutely Disgusting Experience - Do Not Go! If I could give this Einstein Bros. Bagels location zero stars, I would. My visit to the Scottsdale Rd location (in the Albertsons shopping center) was beyond appalling. I don't even know where to begin. Walking in, I was immediately struck by how filthy and unkempt the store was. I initially gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking they might still be recovering from a busy morning rush, but that was clearly not the case. The place looked neglected, and the staff had absolutely no regard for cleanliness, professionalism, or customer service. There were three employees standing in the corner talking, completely ignoring me and the two other waiting customers. I almost walked out--honestly, I should have, because things only got worse. The employees' appearances were shocking. One young man had his pants sagging so low they were actually below his butt, exposing things no one should ever have to see. Another employee, wearing a black hoodie, had it pulled so tightly around his face and tied at his mouth that only his eyes were visible. His appearance was downright unsettling. Then there was the girl behind the counter--her hair was greasy, completely unkempt, and had at least ten strands falling in her face past her shoulders. I can't imagine that her hair wasn't getting into the food. When I finally got my order, it was practically shoved at me with zero acknowledgment--no greeting, no eye contact, no "thank you." It was as if I was an inconvenience to them. Then came the worst part--the food. My bagel sandwich was an absolute disaster. The bagel wasn't cut in half, the lettuce was warm, wilted, and rubbery, and the sesame bagel tasted like cinnamon (which is NOT what you want on a turkey and cheddar sandwich). The onions were clearly past their expiration, and the whole thing was so unappetizing I ended up throwing it away after a few bites. To make matters worse, I felt nauseous for the rest of the day. This location is an embarrassment to the Einstein Bros. brand. The staff looked like they hadn't showered in days, the food was old and poorly prepared, and the customer service was nonexistent. Honestly, I don't know what was worse--the state of the employees, the food, or the overall filth of the place. I strongly believe the health department should be called to inspect this location. There is absolutely no way it would pass a proper health inspection. Avoid this place at all costs. Until corporate steps in and cleans house--literally and figuratively--this store is a disgrace. read more

Well, that was gross. I ordered the ham and Swiss breakfast sandwich on Asiago. The bagel was not toasted, the cheese was not melted and the ham was cheap grocery store packaged. The hashbrown was tasteless and gritty. The mocha coffee was weak chocolate milk with a big blob of mocha at the bottom. They didn't even try to stir it in. Update: I was contacted by a representative of Einstein who instructed me to fill out another form so that my issues could get addressed and then I was asked to update my review. Message to Einstein: We'll, this has gotten worse. Why do I have to do more work? You should be able to process my feedback since you just read it. read more

This is by the far the craziest and not good experience ever. I stood in line (2nd out of 5) waiting to order. The customer in front of me was stuck for some unknown reason. The other employee wanted to ring me up at the other register. Didn't asked me anything but when she realized that I had more than one item than she all of sudden couldn't help me. And in the middle of this, she and another customer were sharing memes and interrupting me when I am trying to order. Is this now the new normal at Einstein bagel because I am horrified. And like the rest of the reviews the work is sloppy when it comes to making sandwiches. This location felt like a high school cafeteria in the atmosphere and professionalism. Sadly this is not my fav Einstein bagels location. They were not busy at all, but my daughter's bagel had pieces of smoked salmon. I believe it was bc they used the same knife. Mind you, she ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese. She got nauseous when she tasted something "funny" when she bit it. I felt so bad. The guy working on the bagels was sloppy. All our bagels were made sloppy! And we are an avid bagel eater at Einstein. The cashier ladies were nice and friendly. So disappointing bc we're always on this area. After waiting over 20 minutes, I decided to ask an employee if they knew how much longer, at this point now I am going to be late to work. I was told that when they pulled out the bacon, it smelled weird, so they wanted to give me a card for a free sandwich. I asked for a refund and they told me no. The food was good, other than the black burnt onions on the bagel. The orange juice was good too. The place is alittle grimy, could use a deep cleaning.
