We were staying at a cute little cottage near buy and ordered take out. We got there a little early so we sat at the bar and tried their oregon beer taster. They had a good selection and were able to get light, dark and cider choices. Our food was ready on time and we took it home. So good! We got the clam steamers and they were fresh and all the clams were open. The garlic bread was yummy. We also got blacken chicken dish and it was perfect and not dry. The sauce over it was amazing! Last we got the cheese burger with the gluten free bun with at side Cesar salad. We were very satisfied with this restaurant and it's food. Prices were fair for what we got. read more

Crawling up the Oregon coast through Newport a local resident recommended this unassuming storefront across from the beautiful Nye Beach. We were wowed. Homemade bread, tortillas, and jam, and grass-fed beef were among the highlights of a fabulous breakfast. I would rate their inventive take on a chile rellaño as the best ever. Wonderful family run restaurant. We had 2 dogs with us, and they were very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed all of the food we ordered. We came here while on a weekend getaway in Newport and I'm so sad I can't transport this restaurant home with me. I loved everything about our experience. We showed up before 7am, in the pouring rain and the waiter was so friendly and gracious. We were the only ones in the restaurant and it felt like a personalized experience. He was so kind, filled our coffee often, kept asking if we needed more water, how our food was etc (but not in an intrusive or extra type of way). Just really good service. The food was done QUICK and was so incredibly delicious. The food was a perfect mix of flavors, not too light and not too heavy. I didn't love the gravy, but that's the only negative thing I have to say. Super cute ambiance. Down to earth cafe vibes. Super happy with my experience and hope I get to come back. read more

I went on a Saturday morning, and we were seated right away. The restaurant is a little small. There are maybe 6 tables total and some outdoor seating as well. The restaurant is clean, and the service is good. I ordered the Baked French Toast with a side of eggs and a biscuit. The French toast was huge. It doesn't come with syrup, so you must ask for some. It needs it because the bread is thick and dry. If you order the French toast, I hope you're a big fan of walnuts because it's covered in it. I'm not a good fan. The eggs were good. The biscuit tasted good, but it was dry and thick. It's not fluffy/airy and warm like you would expect. Overall, the service is great, but the food needs improvement. I will not return. read more

This place was downright delicious. It was definitely one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. On our way home from Yachats to Portland we were ravenous and needed some brekky. It was between this place and another. I chose this spot because it had more options. My Father and I had the Huevos Rancheros and my Mom had Katy's Greek Potatoes. All of our meals tasted fresh and delicious. Everything tasted like it was made from scratch. The restaurant was low key. It appeared clean and the service was fast. YUM! A great spot to pop in for breakfast we hit the road back home to Eugene. Hubby ordered Arlo's Special (eggs, bacon, biscuit&gravy) and I ordered Blythe's burrito. Both were really good, and I *loved* the polenta in my breakfast burrito and the perfectly ripe avocado to boot. I also got a kombucha for my beverage, which did have a pretty high markup on it ($6 for a bottled GT kombucha which is half that at the grocery store). NBC is a small place, but fortunately, we arrived just before the weekend morning rush and were seated right away. I don't think this is the best spot for a large group (say, more than 6) unless you don't mind sitting at separate tables. The service was welcoming and efficient. Would definitely come here again on our next trip! read more

Still the best GF go to in town!! Even with more options available they know how to do it right, and I can trust my safety with them. I stopped in for a bowl of gf clam chowder to go and it came with gf garlic bread. 100% worth every penny and took everything not to scarf it down in enjoyment. The service was a little slow at times, but as a own man show in front he's doing his best while his wife cooks in back and their son does the dishes. The kindness is always there and the menu is posted on the door to make ordering easier. There is seating inside and out and awesome art on the walls. This is your friendly reminder this place is still amazing and survived COVID so show some love to a local best kept secret. read more

Never been here before today but MAN the food was amazing! I got juevos rancheros because I wanted to try something I've never had and I was DEFINITELY NOT DISAPPOINTED it was incredibly delicious and fresh tasting! Everything is homemade! The man that helped us was incredibly kind, brought my girls some menus and crayons they were fully entertained til their food arrived. They both loved their pancakes! Hubby got the French toast with Marion berry syrup and he LOVED IT! It was a cloudy day nice temps so we sat outside and our server was very attentive. Good little spot that filled our bellies with yummy food. My little family & ai stopped around 11:30am. Place was a little busy but we got a table fairly quickly. I would say this place serves American food with a sprinkle of Mexican food. They offer some staple mexican breakfast. Huevos Rancheros & Chiles rellenos. We unfortunately did not order those items since we knew it would cater to the white folks. So, to avoid disappointment we stayed with the basic. My husband ordered the corn beaf hash, which he really enjoyed. He said it was flavorful & filling. I got the traditional bfast. The bacon was perfect for me. Not toooo soft not to crispy. The eggs I ordered with cheddar & were just perfect. The hash browns were yummy as well. I loved that this place had a variety of hot sauce other than tabasco. The biscuits & gravy we didnt really enjoy but thats not because they werent yummy. Its simply we are not into that type of food. With our main entree came a choice of biscuit or sourdough slice. Wonderful ! One of those places that feel like another home the instant you walk in . Clean , artful , busy happy people ( family owned and operated) . The family is from the same part of a neighboring country as my grandfather . The food . Great little place within walking distance to Nye Beach for breakfast. Excellent menu selection, generous portions and fair prices. The service is always attentive , the place is generally full and sometimes there can be a short wait for a table but it is never been very long. The walls are covered in original art that is for sale so it is a pleasant setting but it can get noisy if full due to how small the place is. Everything from the baked goods to the bacon , Huevos Rancherio, a variety of omelettes has been outstanding. The only thing we feel could be improved is their coffee.. so order tea or juice .. then Bon Appetite!! read more

We recently took a trip to The Coast, Lincoln city and Newport. We had plans to try another local restaurant in Nye beach but at the last minute backed out. There is something to be said about going somewhere familiar where you know the quality of food that will be served. This is our second time eating here. We arrived for lunch; Gabriella was our waitress. So personable and accommodating. She provided the best service I've had at a restaurant. When she told us about one of the daily specials, rockfish tacos, I had to try them. The rockfish was caught that day yards from the restaurant on the waterfront. The rockfish was in a creamy sauce with a mango salsa. So fresh, so good. I also had a side salad. All the dressings are homemade. I tried the blue cheese and chipotle, both were amazing. My boyfriend got the grass fed burger with bacon and upgraded the fries for a side salad with ranch. Just as good as he remembered. My son ordered the salmon sandwich on a roll with pesto cream sauce and a balsamic glaze. I would give them a 10 if I could. We walked by this cafe and the special on the sign drew us in. The staff was really friendly and attentive. I tried chile relleno for the first time and it was amazing! Black beans and handmade tortillas sealed the deal! The eggs were a little rubbery, unfortunately, but they were ancillary to the meal. My husband had homemade biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. He said the biscuits were nice and fluffy and gravy was delish, but the bacon was a little overcooked for his liking. Have to admit this place was not our first choice after we went to another place that said it would be 45 minute wait with a third of their tables empty. Not sure if they were short handed or spacing diners out. Anyway we tried this little place out. We originally wanted to order the crab cake salad but they were not available due to the increased price of crab. I settled on Caprese sandwich and husband their special breakfast of the day. Discovered I prefer caprese as appetizer or salad better. I realized it was a risk trying something different like this. Husband liked his breakfast which was a omelette loaded with shrimp, onions, mushrooms, cheese, biscuits and hash browns. His plate was huge and could not finish it. Service was attentive, the atmosphere was interesting and inviting with a variety of prints from a local artist around the walls offered for sale.
